"The apartment was very spacious and the view was amazing."

Only a 5-10 minute walk to Cavill Avenue, tram stop right outside hotel, which makes it very easy and cheap to get to from the airport.

Father's day weekend”
The Mantra was beautiful and had wonderful Facilities. The staff where perfect and kind. The kids loved the pool's. The only bad thing I would say is that when we went to the room 2006 2 bedroom apartment, it hadn't been dusted in a long time. The benches, dining table, coffee table and Tv unit hadn't been wiped over before our arrival. I sat at the dining table in white pants and they ended up covered in dust as the chairs where leather and dusty as well. But saying that we had a lovely time and will be staying back at the Mantra Sun City again.
Good location hotel.”
Pros : - The resort is located at the quiet side of surfers paradise but yet convenient as there's a tram stop just right outside to bring you to surfers paradise and broadbeach. There's also a bus stop diagonally across the road with express bus to movie world, wet n wild, dream world and sea world. - We also took shuttle bus to harbour town and the shuttle pick up is at Marriott resort which is about 5 minutes walk across from Mantra Sun City Resort. - Staffs are friendly and helpful. - We stayed at the 2 bedroom apartment and it's spacious. Cons : - As we only stayed there for 4 nights, it is considered a short stay thus the apartment was not made up and cleaned during our stay. We were told by the staffs that they only clean the guests' rooms with longer stay. - We had buffet breakfast at Koastal Kitchen and the food was ok but not too much variety.
Have been a guest at Sun City multiple times. Always a great resort, plenty of facilities, clean, good location and pleasant staff. Light rail at the door, a short walk to the heart of Surfers Paradise and the beach a few hundred meters away. Great views from rooms which are fully equiped and very spacious.
sort of ok”
We have 2 trips to Qld a year and stay at many places we have stayed at Mantra Sun City 3 times now the price we paid this time we cannot complain, the sea view and its location is excellent. The facilities are excellent indoor & outdoor pool water slides, life guard, spa, gym room, tennis courts, games room, restaurant and excellent staff and service. The restaurants breakfast is excellent the dinner menu unfortunately is not broad enough the menu is in desperate need of more meal choices (you have loads more cocktail choices than main meal choices. Room 1607 is old and dated room it has holes in the wall, the master bed rooms furniture and bed, Pillows are not suitable for use, the furniture is extremely old and dated nothing like the website pictures, the carpet and curtains are worn-out and have holes in them, no trays for cooking in the oven and the cooking equipment is bad (I wouldn’t use them) And the room really was not clean. But the staff we excellent! So would we stay here again? Never again if we got room 1607 in fact the owner of this room should be told to fix it up to mantra standard’s or it will not be allowed to be used the fact it is allowed to be used is giving mantra group a bad name, However if we got a better room we will be back something we would happily pay more for is a quality room over rubbish. Again mantra Sun City is excellent but room 1607 has let you down. Scott. P
Great " one stop shop" hotel !”
This is our second stay at "Sun City mantra" first time was with 4 children in a 2 bedroom which was huge! second time as a couple in a one bedroom which was also large and well appointed, clean and awsome views! Fantastic facilities for families and couples alike. Have reccomended this hotel to friends and family and will be visiting again!
Great pools and good location”
This was just an overnighter for us and we are fairly local to the gold coast. We loved the location with the trams right outside the door, but you will need a go card to get on them. The pool area with the slides is excellent and there is also an indoor pool with a spa area. (best spa weve used for awhile. Although a little outdated, the hotel has character. The room we stayed was reasonable small, but fine for one night. Breakfast is a reasonable spread, not like overseas of course, but a good variety and enough to keep you satisfied, with eggs, sausages, bacon, cereal, pancakes, fruit, tea and coffee. I would recommend this hotel. You probably have about 800m walk to the beach and about 1km to the heart of Surfers Paradise, but it is good to be away from the noise and bustle!!!!!
First time on a solo trip, loved every moment of it. Big spacious room, beautiful view. The indoor pool was perfect for the winter draft, spa the size of a pool. Gym was great, had all the equipment needed. Even had waterslides! Staff were lovely too. Easy to say it’s been the best Hotel I’ve stayed in on the Gold Coast.
Great Spacious family accommodation ”
We had a relaxing and comfortable family Holiday at Mantra Sun City Resort.
Our stay at Mantra Sun City was excellent. The facilities are lovely and the rooms were clean and spacious.
Better than expected”
We stayed for 3 nights and our stay was far better than we hoped or expected. Facilities and apartments were awesome. Close to beach and short walk to Cavill Ave. We would definitely stay here again next time we are in Surfers Paradise. Also, the bbq, pool and gym areas were clean and modern.
A beautiful resort”
This is one of the best Resort in Gold Coast that I think people should stay in when they have their holiday in gold coast.
Nice atmosphere, friendly service”
Staff are friendly and helpful. Large living area and great bathroom. We did find the mattress a little uncomfortable (inner spring) but reception noted that on checkout. A comfortable walk to the heart of Surfers Paradise
The stay was wonderful - couldn't ask for more! Thanks staff at Mantra Sun City
Loved our stay”
We had a lovely one bedroom apartment on the 5th floor with views to the ocean, we had the convenience of the tram being out the front, we meal we had in the restaurant on Saturday was the best I have had there yet and this was our 5th stay, keep up the good work Sun City very happy with all, we will be back for sure
Sun City Weekend Away”
Stayed at the Mantra Sun City resort for the weekend with my wife and our two teenage sons in a 2 bedroom ocean view apartment. Paid almost full rack rate so was expecting a nice room, but was very disappointed, large 2 bedroom unit with view was a plus but run down, very dated fixtures and fittings, old kitchen & very sparsely furnished. The resort facilities and pools are very nice and deserve the 4.5 star rating but the room itself was a big let down and I have stayed in nicer 4 stars. Location is good and light rail right at front door. Pools and surroundings made up for old room. Place has plenty of potential with a refurbishment of dated rooms.
When we return to the Gold Coast we will book here again. Our apartment was on the 23rd floor, big spacious, clean and the facilities were great.
Great value for money”
We were just passing through on our way to the Sunshine Coast, so only needed a place to sleep after a long day of travelling before hitting the road again. Whilst the building itself is now a little old and dated, the rooms were very spacious and clean. The bed was a tad soft for our liking but not too bad on the whole. We did not have time to experience all the facilities at the hotel, but we can say that the reception area, grounds and restaurant (we ate there for dinner and breakfast) were all top notch, beautifully presented and very well cared for. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay there again and recommend it to others.
short pleasant stay”
Stayed one night in hotel room as no kids this time. Room is very nice and perfect size for 2 persons. Surfers Paradise is a building site at present and not recommended to anyone. No shopping exists for anyone other than surfers or Asian tourists. Many businesses are closed due to roadworks. Beach has been largely washed away. It's dusty, dirty and everyone is so badly dressed.
Great breakfast awesome staff”
Loved Mantra sun city Fantastic facilities
With fantastic views of the river and the Coral sea, 15 minute walk to Cavill Ave. and generous room sizes, Sun City offered great value for money. The staff were always friendly and helpful and the facilities well maintained.
