Maobitou hotels & places to stay

I highly recommend this hotel if you can ride a scooter and like peace and quiet. The location is only a short scooter ride from the lovely Baisha beach, 10 minutes from Hengchun and 20 minutes from Kenting. The room was gorgeous, with a really big, comfy bed, luxurious bathroom and a nice balcony with a stunning view of the bay. The weather was a little chilly (and very windy) during our stay, but the swimming pool area is lovely, and I look forward to going back in warmer times! There is food, but only breakfast (minimal but pretty good, and you can get a 2nd portion for free) and a late-night mini-meal (not so appetising for the western palate), so a scooter is pretty essential for dining. The staff are very friendly and professional. I would have given them a 5 but they forgot to bring a birthday cake I had arranged with them for my partner. They made up for their error later in the day though, with a lovely cake.

Upon arriving at the gate, a 姐姐 picked me up in a buggy and took me to my 木蓮 villa, which was the first villa from the entrance. Once I opened the door, there was soft music playing and tea prepared. The 姐姐 explained everything thoroughly and was very patient, even with a slight English-Chinese language barrier. Their staffs are friendly and approachable both on the phone and in person. I did not have to go to the main building to check in as everything was processed on the kitchen bar table. I did not have my own transportation arranged so the 姐姐 helped me to plan everything for the night and the next day. There are only 6 villas so you get to have a more intimate and personal service. Some highlights of the villa include: Apple TV, plenty of windows, a Nespresso machine, ample snacks and drinks, organic toiletries, a hammock, a garden with a lake, a fresh sea water pool, a Villeroy & Boch tub with bath salts. As an avid traveler with experience in more than 20 worldwide 5-star hotels, I can see that they prepare more than most would. I was provided with all the all the necessities and more. They are very aware of your privacy and let me choose what time I would prefer breakfast to be served. Anything you can think of, they will cater to you individually. After staying here, my next hotel destinations seemed disappointing, though they were 5-star hotels. This home away from home was perfect and I hope it stays untarnished, away from noisy tourists. This is where you can be away from the busy city life without your phone. I will definitely be back for more. Tips: - They have their own drivers and bicycles for rent but I would recommend having your own car. It is a bit far out. - The ideal season to stay here would probably be in Spring/Winter, where there will be no mosquitoes. I came around new years so it was cold and windy. This meant no bugs but also that I couldn't stay on the hammock for too long because it was cold.

We spent 8 nights at the Tree and absolutely loved every minute of it! The house is located on top of a little hill so it has a spectacular view of Kenting. At the same time, it is not far from all the usual tourist attractions (all of which are pretty much within 20 min driving distance). The house is very clean and nicely decorated with the owner's artworks. The room we stayed in is big and very comfortable for the three of us. The property offers a lot of things for kids: a large lawn to play soccer, ride bike, play with the dog (love you Puma!), or just lounge around. The Tree also offers the best breakfast we've had at any B&B with home made pastry, jam, and local grown veggies and fruits. And every day you get something different! It also provides a washing machine for the guests and helps with scooter rental or tour bookings. Overall, the whole family had a wonderful time at the Tree and would go back for sure on our next trip to Kenting.

We loved our time at Happy Town Resort. The location is a short 15 minute scooter ride from the busy Keniting night market area. We were able to relax in the pool during the day and we were very close to several snorkeling spots on the coast. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful with our poor Mandarin skills, and they had electronic scooters for rent on site. Would highly recommend to friends and family!

We had looked forward to some beach time in Kenting but as the typhoon had just hit the week prior, it rained the entire time we were there. Nonetheless we had a great stay, thanks in large part to the excellent service and wonderful rooms of this Guesthouse. The whole design of the place deserves an award (if it hasn't gotten one already): the designer/owner has made sure the place is mostly made out of natural materials like wood. The attention to detail really made me feel more at home. It has a little shop with cute natural products to spend in case the weather is bad. Our special thanks to the front desk host who spoke the best English (Andrew? Sorry we forgot your name!) who made such an effort to help us have a great stay; doing our check in and waiting our table at dinner within the same hour, offering my boyfriend some medication for his cold, then running back and forth to fetch it, and a lot more! Thanks :) We will have to come back again when it's sunny.

Very good stay here again. No complaints. Visitors to this area would be well-advised to rent a scooter from Henchun or Kenting before going because the local taxis are extortionately expensive. The breakfast was an improvement on last time, but the lack of afternoon or evening food options is why I've given 3/5 for food. Otherwise the room was very clean, the staff were polite and friendly and the location is excellent for spending the day on Baisha beach. While I feel this hotel is deserving of an extra half a star rating, I would say the price is about right.

I am Taiwanese, and my husband is from the US. We decided to go travel with our dog around Taiwan before we leave the country again. We are so glad that we choose to stay with Lan Hai Inn, the place was so spacious, very dog friendly, they have this big front yard for you to chill, to eat while your puppy can run around. The owner and his wife they are such lovely people, they are very chill, and make great breakfast! Literally, if you are a dog owner, please stay with them, nothing is happier than having a great, and chill breakfast while looking at your puppy having the time of his life playing in the yard. My husband and I both highly highly recommend this place, and we will for sure come back to visit them again! PS. they have great seafood restaurant and diving school right next to the hotel, sounds awesome, right!

The only thing 'wrong' here was the weather during my stay, which cannot be put onto the owners/property. One thing to mention: this place is NOT in the town centre areas - you will be out a bit away from all of the touristy-type things & beaches. We arranged a rental car through the hotel at a good rate, and they dropped it off & picked it up when we were done with our stay, easy-peasy. The first night we stayed in the Coral Island room, but the second we took the Phoenix Castle, which was our preference. Beds in both were super comfy, the bathrooms had 2-person jacuzzi tubs & good showers, and both had tiny private back yards with plunge pools. But the outside tubs have NO hot water, just FYI, and we happened to be there in a colder, cloudy weekend. :( If it was summer, this would have been amazing! We loved the grounds, the staffers were so very kind, just everything about it was wonderful. If you have a car/motos, or are ok just bicycling around (I'd defo recc getting motos, at the very least), this is a great stay, and you will want 2-3 days here!

first of all, its reli a gd design as a hotel,full filled with architecture elements and idea.And the food there taste gd as well.thanks for that!However,i cant adore their room services,we spent 3 nites there but THEY NEVER CHANGED THE PILLOW AND SHEET !! which reli shocked me a lot. i know their boss advocated environmental friendly,but at least u should do the basic cleaning and make the sheet plain ! Even we met a guy who maybe a driver of this place,i dun like his attitude when he urged us to read the instructions of the hotel,after we scanned by our eyes he even asked "u reli finished?" .........im speechless Anyway,nice place also but really bad room service.

The Shui Yen Inn is a great option for travelers to stay near a beach in Southern Taiwan. It is located away from the hustle & bustle of Kenting street, it is quiet and it is very near, arguably, the best beach (Baisha) in Kenting. The staff/owner is very attentive to guests' needs and made us feel at home. The rooms were neat, well-equipped (especially the fast internet) and spacious. It is advisable when checking into this hotel to be ready to get on a scooter, which the staff/owner is happy to assist guests with, to get to the many attractions Kenting has to offer.

Located near both the mao bi tou and bai sha, (both tourist attractions) travel time is greatly reduced! location is great for those who want to take part in the water activities (at nan yong). electronic bike rental is available directly at the guest house(not operated by the host but the owner of the ebike will come and do the paper works) so you do not have to travel to return the bike. Room is cozy and clean. I had only one luggage so the space is more than enough. If you have 2 giant luggage, you will have to move the table in the room to create more space. There is a living room the 2nd floor for you to chill and relax. Water dispenser is available so you do not have to boil water. Guest house also provides awesome breakfast. It is not the high class expensive breakfast but the sandwich is really great! Simple and nice breakfast. Main street is about 20min ebike ride away. If you drive, it will be faster. One night is definitely not enough to explore the whole area, I would recommend to stay 2nights. This place is great for those who want to be away from the crowd and enjoy the beach and water activities.

Our family had a great time during this Spring break in Kenting, the three night stay at Otousann B&B was definitely one of the high lights! The hotel is located in a quite green area away from the busy tourist strip and close to the Baishawan beach and Maobitou cape, both are very scenic spots. The hotel rooms are very clean and spacious. The host family, both Mr. Lin and his family are very kind and helpful people, they even helped us to set up the fire for our BBQ dinner one evening. The outdoor garden has beaufully kept lawn and plants, our kids had a blast playing football on the grass and relaxing on the hammocks hanging between coconut trees. We love this B&B and will definitely come back it in the future!

We spent two nights in this sweet B&B. Our room was a two double bed with window to the sea (though sea is barely visible due the palm trees 🌴). The room is cozy, beds are big, they have a small fridge, provide water, electric kettle, tea and coffee. The room is large, the bathroom was modern with a nice design, the shower is awesome ! The B&B is just a minute and 31 seconds away from the sea water ! (would be less if you go by running lol). The beach there is one of the most beautiful of kenting, water is transparent (I love swimming far from the cost and it was still quite transparent even after the 4 meters depth), there are colorful fishes around the coral reefs. So we can say you're only 91 minutes away from the color fishes and the coral reefs. The breakfast if simple, but home made, the B&B host were sweet and kind. They have a big backyard with papaya trees, lots of orchids and a few cats. Some meters away from the b&b there is a very small town with some family stores

One of the employee's/dive guide apparently like the mess with the puffer fish until they blow up. Just wrong to hurt wildlife for no reason. The place itself was nice and so were the staff. Limited English, but they tried. Also cooked some great meals. There is absolutely nothing around. The closest 7-11 is a 30 minute walk each way. If you are not going to dive, I highly recommend, but the only reason to stay there is because it's close to the ferry to go to the island. Overall, it was clean, cheap and nice people, but not having any respect for wildlife is a huge negative for me.

in the moring, you can lay down on the chair under the tree shadows to enjoy the windy sunshine. or you can drive the 10 mins distance to White Sand Shore to have a sun tanning. In the noon, you can drive 10 mins distance to birdwatching, also can see the coral reef stone, the beautiful shore. At night, you can hang around the night market ( Kenting Main Street) to drink beer , enjoy Malaysian meal. after backing to Koru hostel, can see the star light and hear the chirping of cicadsas and croaking of frogs. this Hostel just has 2 house in the 1256m2. The Owner is friendly, can speak english, introduce you the nice meal and view. This hostel is for your holiday ~

We had a lovely 2 night stay here. The location is just beautiful, serene & surrounded by nature. The room was fabulous with amazing views all around. Perfectly clean, everything new & fresh, great bathroom - shower & tub! The staff were very accommodating, they helped us with everything as we didn't speak the local language - they helped with maps, suggestions on where to eat & even with renting a scooter. All in all a 5star stay! We highly recommend it to anyone wanting a nature escape! & it is just a 5-7 minute drive from the beach.
