Fantastic hot pool, lovely owners”

Excellent bungalows at the bottom of Mount Batur. We woke up early in the morning to start our hike onto Mount Batur (trail starts in front of the house). The owner and his team made our stay very special; Mahdi organized a birthday cake for our daughter (thanks a lot again, Mahdi!). The entire team is very forthcoming and friendly; they take great care of the bungalows, which are clean, spacious and well maintained. Absolutely exceptional hot pool with natural spring water from the volcano and fantastic view of the lake. We loved the place and highly recommend it!

Very friendly owner and food was really good. Pool filled with hot spring water from the volcano was a bonus. Very helpful organising tours and treks to Mt. Batur. Very close if you want to do a hike to Mt. Batur. Location and views are amazing
Not the accommodations fault but booking.com list the property as Kintamani where as it is Lake Batur. The taxi driver we had from Amed got rather frustrated that it wasn't at Kintamani and was a further 15 mins on. This is where you want to stay however if you want to do a sunrise trek to Mt Batur as it is very close.

Water in the heated pool was bit too cold for me but I know it is hard to keep it warm all day! My boyfriend loved it though!

Good room, traditional style, good bed. Very nice view. Nice warm pool. Breakfast is ok. Nice helpful owner. Good place to stay before hiking up the Batur. Maybe not the cheapest option, but not expensive either, and lake view is really good.

The location is wonderful, with an amazing view to Mount Batur. It's located right at the basis of the mountain, perfect for climbing up in 1.5 hours. The owner helped us with a guide to do the sunrise trekking to Mount Batur. After the trekking we checked in and enjoyed the hot springs for the entire day. We ate breakfast and lunch at the restaurant of the location, and we really enjoyed the food. The products are sourced locally, and the dishes are mainly traditional from Indonesia, which is exactly what we wanted. Both cash and card payments are possible. Overall great value for money, and fully recommend Mapa Lake View Bungalow to other tourists.
There are a lot of flies in the Kintamani area which is not comfortable at times, but keep in mind this is an agricultural area and it's not much that Mapa Lake can do to avoid this.

We had a nice stay, clean rooms, very good breakfast, great hospitality … since our son got sick, we had to depart one day earlier and the owner refunded us generously. The biggest asset, the outdoor pool heated with geothermal hot water … your very own hot spring.

Such a nice accomodation with a beautiful view on the lake and the mountains. We had a really nice experience there. The owner of this place was beyond friendly! we felt so welcome and comfortable, he was such a nice person and helped with everything! the warm pool was amazing :) you can enjoy a beer in the pool and relax! the owner organised a jeep sunrise tour for us, which was just wonderful! can highly recommend to book the same tour! appartment was clean and had everything you need. We would come again.

It is great that there is a breakfast available, also the host is very interested to help and to make our stay better. He provides motorbike rental, suggested a guide who assisted us in climbing Mount Batur. Also arranged taxi services when we had to leave. The host is very polite, the location is very beautiful facing the Mount Batur, shop and warungs are near as well as possibility to do laundry. Overall highy recommend this accomodation.
