Classic Hotel, Old but Gold”
U know a good hotel once u step in to the lobby. The Bellboy open the door and carry your luggage. This service usually only provided by the 4-5 stars hotel. I have a feeling the owner / whoever manage the hotel is a detail and classy person. It called Marco Polo, but it doesn’t feel tacky. It’s classic, and gold. U can feel the vibe by the time u enter the lobby. The decoration is carefully selected, painting at the lobby, even in your room, complimented the name of hotel. Room is very clean, the old furnitures, all function very well, no broken part / etc. They took care of it carefully. No dust, I'm surprised, because usually an old hotel like this it’s smell mushy, dusty on the deco and etc. But not Marco Polo Hotel. From the lobby, corridor, room…very clean! I salute the housekeeping and the management. I didn’t try the breakfast, because we walked to Tanjung Market early morning, which is only 600m from the hotel. If the owner / management can turn and revive this gem into classic hotel like Eastern Oriental in Penang or Raffles in Singapore, that would be very fortunate and wonderful.

Comfy & pleasant stay - Nice room even you will see an old furniture, but it is still okay for me. friendly & helpful staff - warm welcome & they help me accordingly when I asking for help to get food in the midnight. thank you also to HK who keep clean my room. Location - walking distance to the town & restaurant reasonable rate will come back

the staff are very friendly. the check in process was hassle free.. hotel situated in a good location.. restaurant, 7E, kfc, Mosque are in walking distance. You can easily get the taxi as the drivers wait infront of the hotel... or just use grabcar.. limited choices of food for breakfast, but it is still acceptable & delicious. will choose this hotel again in future..

Room was spacious, bathroom was clean and location is conveniently in the town centre. Parking was easy as they have their dedicated parking lot. It's best to go for older hotels like this as their rooms are always spacious.

The best in Tawau”
The best hotel in Tawau. Great location, has its own parking space, nice breakfast and spacious carpeted room. Good value for money. You will like this hotel if you like traditional malay design. The lighting is a bit dim, but that’s fine with me. Will stay here again for sure.

When 1st time arrive at this hotel, my impression is different. It look like one of those haunted hotel in the movie. But don't let the impression fools you. Even the hotel is old, but the room is clean and well maintained. Staff also very friendly and helpful, really beyond my expectation. Feel like home. The only cons is lack of power plug and no water bidet. Definitely will stay here again.

My third time staying here. I agreed it needs major refurbishment, but at least they really taking a good care of the facilities. The room was clean, aircond was good! View was marvellous facing the mosque, the city & the sea! Near to eateries area, groceries etc. Let’s support this hotel, make her glorious again!

Everything i and my family need is just a walking distance. Including a clinic, salon, and food oh yes u can get everything just nearby the hotel. This hotel is old but very well-kept. The staf is super friendly and respectful. Kudos guys! I stayed here for 2 nights before off to semporna for 3 nights.and then decided to come back to this hotel 1 day before my departure. Great place, great staff

Great Service from the staff”
Room condition a little bit old style one but still nice and comfortable. The main thing here is the service by all their staff especially the receptionists and the cafe staff, just to be honest its one of the best I have ever had. They are all exceeded or maybe beyond expectation in terms of their service on willing to help each of your need. The hotel I believe not 5star (based on the hotel condition) but all the staff have 5star service in their head. I can’t really remember the two guys at the reception counter, but seriously bro you two are superb. Thanks for making my day.

this is our forth time here ..the room is cozy..didnt feel dusty even it has carpet.. the aircond is easy to adjust not like some other hotels.. has adequate space to put the luggage & kids to move around .. the condition in toilet is acceptable with the old design.. the breakfast is moderate with same variety of food. the food for room service is quite tasty with reasonable price. overall, it is value for money.
