Homely stay at CingJing”

Quaint homestay with lovely rooms and views (though you need to navigate some stairs to get to your room). Simple breakfast spread in a lovely main hall setting with glass windows that offer bird's eye view of the mountain & lake. We appreciated owner's kind offers to drop off & pick up us to/from various locations on a few occasions, especially on our 1st night in pouring rain to nearby 7-eleven to stock up on some snacks/drinks. Owner's daughter (Margaret) was also very friendly and kept a lookout for us (concerned about our safety walking along the roads in the rain, came out with a huge umbrella to shelter us from vehicle to homestay building), she even made an extra effort to show us fireflies on our last night!

This is exception good Homestay hotel with good scenceary / fresh air & quiet place and near the main road whic can take pulic bus to Cing Jing Farm. Also can opt for transport by hotel 2-way TW100 pp. Great ****

Pros: Good view of the mountains and a bit of the lake Not too high (around 1500m, Cingjing farm is nearing 2000m) Can request owner for a ride up to Cingjing farm Friendly owner and staff Bed warmer Cons: Need to carry luggage down the stairs when heading to the room Breakfast spread might be too simple for some people Around 2-3km away from Cingjing farm (don't try to walk as Highway 14 is a major road so many heavy vehicles)

Serene and comfortable stay”

Excellent mountain view. Fresh air. Serene and cool environment. Spacious room. Very helpful staff. Breakfast is average but decent and healthy. Convenient as a related-restaurant with decent food and price is attached.

the location is quite off, need to have ride to go to main tourist location, but they owner can ring you the ride cost 50TWD per head. room was nice, view is good, owner is friendly

Good location as it's located before Cing Jing Farm on the way up the mountain. Room is spacious and bed warmer is provided (an essential in the cold).

Overall good”

The room is a bit run down compared to the pictures at Agoda website. We were not allocated the quadruple room facing the lake so was a bit disappointed. There is no lift in the minsu so we have to carry our luggage through the stairs. However overall quite a pleasant place to spend a night.

Good Location and service”

We got an upgrade which was helpful for us as we were travelling with a young child (one year old). Though there wasn't a baby cot, we had sufficient beds for our little one. Breakfast was simplistic (so don't expect something fancy) and without a warmer, the food turned cold quickly due to the cold weather.

Overpriced”

At USD 135 a night, this place was very overpriced. There are zero facilities, room is small. Bath gel and shampoo are the plastic packet variety. Breakfast is basic and the owners don't bother to refresh the coffee pot even when it's cold and nearly empty...

A cosy and homely feel. The rooms face the natural scenery - beautiful.

First overseas trip with child”

View was amazing. A little out of the way so impossible to travel out if you don't have a car. Place is generally clean with strong wifi connections

the purple restaurant is highly recommended but not home stay....room's cleaniness is not up to my expectation, breakfast I will rate 2 star out of 10..
