When I went to Saipan about ten years ago, there were many tourists and Garapan was bustling, but after the pandemic, the number of residents has decreased a lot, and there were not many travelers either. The surrounding restaurants had some places open for dinner, but I had a quiet healing experience. Recently, there were some reviews mentioning that there was a lot of noise due to remodeling work after the Hyatt changed to MBR, but when we went, we were not disturbed by construction noise. There were also comments about poor Wi-Fi, but while it was occasionally frustrating, I managed to use it reasonably well. If you find it inconvenient, you can get a MiFi device from the front desk, which works quite well. The MiFi can also be used outside the hotel, so I was able to use the internet freely without having to rent a pocket Wi-Fi or egg. Although Saipan has changed and feels a bit empty with fewer tourists, it was, on the contrary, a time when I could quietly rest and recharge.
