Great vacation! ”
I enjoyed my stay here and will definitely come back. I will even recommend it to all my friends. I liked the fact that they have free airport transfer. They have a nice pool right beside their restaurant and the breakfast was sumptuous. =)
Marianne Hotel Palawan Review”
It was my husband's birthday weekend and I wanted to surprise him. The staff was kind enough to assist me with the balloon set up in our room. I was able to successfully surprise my husband. They attended to our every request with a smile on their faces.
Good nights stay before transfer ”
This hotel was great to stay in before an early Departure to another island. They provided us with a free airport transfer which was fantastic! Downside is the WiFi didn’t work in the rooms, the only place we could charge was on the lobby and they forgot to put towels in our room. I would also Advise they make sure to give a good sweep around the pool more often. I would stay there again but they should Make these slight improvements!
Nice Hotel near PPS airport”
A budget friendly hotel that can accommodate all your needs. We stayed here for 1 night after El Nido trip. They offer free shuttle service going to airport and they serve complimentary buffet breakfast during our stay. I will recommend this hotel to my relatives and friends.
Nice and accomodating staff except that receptionist dont usually answer your call or message immediately. Good facility and food but not accesible to other resto or pasyalan, need to ride a tricyle worth 80-100 if you want to go to the carthedral or baywalk.. But overall we enjoyed our stay.. Kudos to all the hard working and friendly staff.. 😊
We had the most relaxing stay!”
We arrived earlier than expected yet, they immediately send someone to pick us up from the airport. They also allowed us to have an early check (4hrs early) in so we can rest. The food tastes really good and yet not so pricey.Their bfast buffet is fantastic (like all the food they prepare everyday is so tasty) The staff were all so friendly. On our first day, the TV in our room lost signal. The staff were all so accommodating, they immediately sent someone to fix it, and when it looked like it cannot be fixed, they replaced it with a new one. Even the shuttle service was so on time and manong driver was very polite. They clean the room everyday even without us asking for it.
The place is not that close to the city but still accessible. The hotel offers hotel transfers for guests which is very much appreciated. Most importantly, they have welcoming and accommodating staff around the place.
Pro's: Hotel staff very friendly and helpful. Complimentary breakfast was good although mainly catering for Philippine client's. Swimming pool was nice but cold. We had a family room which was an OK size. The room was serviced to a high standard every day. Cons: We went on 2 organized tour's which were both late by nearly 2 hours. A waste of our vacation time. Most evenings the restaurant was holding outside functions so a lack of service and room. Overall a pleasant stay in a nice hotel.
I would definitely recommend this place to my friends ad families. The staffs are very accommodating”
The place is very relaxing..And what I've loved most is their food! So sarap with a low cost. I also love their buffet breakfast.. I have stayed there for two nights with my family including my two sons. A 4year old and an 8months old. They love the swimming pool. In fact, they swam right after we checked in even if it is a bit late. What I am also grateful at is the staffs. We were assigned in a room at the first floor. I asked if they can give my request of twin bed when I booked. They said it is subject to availability and at that time, there was no available room. Until after my kids finished their swimming. We request for a family room since the bed is not enough for us but instead, they offer a room with a twin bed without asking for an additional fee. I was so glad that they offer it to us. I was very happy on our vacation at Palawan and stays here at Marianne Hotel.
Love the quaint look and the staff”
Staff are so friendly, they accommodate our requests with a smile. And although we know that they are tired from assisting the guest and doing longer shifts, they do not fail to smile at you and be polite.
24 hour Front desk inquiry, the staff are very helpful and accomodating, the cr is just small. But overall very good.
Wasn’t impressed seeing the pictures of the hotel look lovely. ”
There’s no lift so you may have to carry your suitcase up a few flights of stairs. The pool was out of action for whole 4 days of my stay and no apologies were given or notice. The breakfast wasn’t very nice with looks of ants everywhere. Bedroom was spacious and clean. Bed was comfortable. Don’t clean your room unless you ask so had to find someone to give us more toilet tissue & soap. The restaurant was closed one night which was inconvenient as it’s a long way to any type of restaurant and super dark at night on the streets so you have to pay for tut tut. Wasn’t overly impressed with the professionalism of this hotel but it was ideal for booking the underground river tour and a free transfer to the airport. Thanks
Pros and Cons ”
Pros: We were greeted by a friendly front desk upon check in. We were able to check in early, 2 hours before the standard time. The room is big enough for two. The AC is working great, hot and cold water runs 24/7. Clean sheets and towels are available upon request. They give generous amount of liquid soap and shampoo. We ordered pancit for dinner for only 180 pesos, and were surprised by how big the serving is. Everything was great, and would definitely stay here again. Cons: We hired tricycles to get to restaurants for dinner. Unfortunately, the drivers ask for more money than they should. Out of 10 rides, only 2 drivers were honest about the fare. The pool stinks of chlorine. They just put more chlorine every night and don’t bother cleaning or refilling the pool’s water. Lots of leaves get on the pool and no one cleans, some guests does the cleaning ‘cause its really itchy when touched. It was a great plus tho, a few hotels in PPS have pools. Overall, 9/10. Would definelty recommend! 👌🏻
Really good hotel choice”
The hotel was great. Staff goes out of the way for service. Would be able to improve transport hire services- transportation arranged didn’t show up a couple of times. Otherwise, accommodation services are outstanding.
Great service, value for money”
The hotel and its services arw outstanding. We have given a few recommendations for them to improve their services so they can serve other customers better. But overall, we had a great time in this hotel.
My original flight was cancelled and I was very disappointed with it because I was excited to stay at Marianne Hotel. Luckily, I got an earlier flight the next day and I called up the hotel to ask if my booking is still valid and they said it is. I was there for about 3 hrs before check out. Nice ambience, friendly staff. Too bad I wasnt able to ise their pool due to limited time. I hope they can produce variety of food choices at their restaurant.
The hotel's a bit far from the center, so you'll spend more on trike/cab fares. But overall, it's all great! The pool is a big plus for unwinding at night. Watch out for the super cramped toilet and bath. Anyway, it's value for money. Great :)
Good value, nice large rooms, remote location”
Flight reached Puerto Princessa late evening, so planned to stay there for 1 night and head off to El Nido next morning. Hotel provides a driver to pickup at the airport, though we had a little miscommunication and they called my number (Malaysian, not working while I was in the Phils) instead of replying my e-mail (could read that with airport Free Wifi, this was how I submitted the request too). They sent somebody there, but no sign with my name, so we basically passed each other. Small matter though, a tricycle to the hotel from airport costed only about 80 pesos, for a good 12 minute drive. Decent to me. When we reached the hotel, it was clearly a remote location. At night it can be a little dark, but locals assure us it is safe (unlike Manila). They don't recommend to walk though since it is quite a distance, and a mere 80 pesos tricycle can get you to the town proper, 12-15 minutes away. There is a small stall selling snacks and essentials in front of the hotel, and the hotel itself is packed with snacks and drinks for very cheap prices (maybe just a 5-10 peso markup compared to supermarket?). They also have a variety of books and boardgames, so this hotel knows it is remote, but wants to give you a good time spent indoors. The htoel has a spacious and open air lobby, with a variety of chairs and benches, and being surrounded by trees, the pool looks nice and cool but also can be a little challenging to maintain from all the falling leaves. I also visited in the offpeak season of August, so perhaps the hotel was not seeing many guests. Room was spacious compared to what you normally get in Philippines, and while the walls did look shoddy, the furnishing was new and modern. The bed was a nice hotel style queen-sized bed with even fully-adjustable bed-side reading lights installed (the snake-like ones you can aim at any direction). Bathroom was a tiny narrow thing, squeezing a toilet and shower barely enough for one. No couples showering here. Breakfast was
made my first solo travel memorable”
I knew I made the right choice when I booked with Marianne Hotel for my first ever solo travel. Since I am a bit anxious about my safety, I chose to have all the conveniences I could get and they did not disappoint me. From my online query up to my check out at the hotel, they have assisted me. Judy answered all my queries and has been really helpful. The staff at the hotel were courteous, friendly and nice. My safety was my primary concern and I didn't have to worry about it. I had a few personal needs that I didn't get but they weren't a big deal (like availability of meds, and wake up call - but I thought those were just extra miles they could provide their guests). The hotel was really nice and peaceful. If I will go back to Puerto Princesa, I would choose them again but I will make sure to bring my sister and my friends with me so it'll be more fun. Marianne Hotel, thank you for the wonderful service and experience.
Staying here during my first solo travel made my experience really good. I booked a single room but when I got to the hotel, they gave me free room upgrade. The place is very near the airport, around 5 mins. although the location is not in the center of the city. But I still like the location because it is far from the noise and hustle of the city. The good things about this too is the interior of the place (close to nature). And they have complimentary breakfast.
