Exceptional”
Really nice hotel, and very friendly staff! Especially Ray helped us a lot, for booking some tours or for some tips where there are the beautiful beaches of san vicente. You should rent a motorbike and drive to the long beach, super nice and nearly no tourists - really cool! Unfortunately you can't swim next to the hotel, because there is the port. But the beach i approximately 10 mins by feet away. The building itself is not that pretty, so we were a bit irritated - but inside it's really nice, so don't worry! The restaurant at the roof top is delicious. They serve Italien dishes - but it's really expensive.

Very good”
The staff are really friendly and the room is nicely decorated, comfortable and clean, but the photos are very misleading. They are taken at angles which make it look like the room is on the seafront which it is not. Also there's no common area to the hotel to spend time in or hang out clothes. The food in the restaurant is great but very expensive for the Philippines.

Near the airport but has limited facilities and options ”
Pros -Pretty room big enough for a couple with children, we got the super deluxe room so its has a big bed and a sala. - near the san vicente airport Cons - no tv - they told us that the pick up from the aiport was free but we paid 150 for it. - no restaurant available so you have to walk for 5-10 mins to get to the nearest food establishment. - wifi is also not free they charge around 150 for a 24 hour internet access - bathroom is small hoping they can fix that since the room is pretty big they can renovate it and put a bigger cr. - when the neighbors are burning bushes you can smell it in your room. - don't be deceived by the pretty pictures with a beautiful background its near the port so you cant swim.

Clearly there was a misunderstanding: the airport pick-up service is free, and we NEVER ask to pay for wifi, which, on the contrary, is absolutely free. Furthermore the beach is not in front, but behind. Just a 5 minute walk away is the famous Long Beach, which is the one you see in our photos. Finally: our hotel has only been open for two months and the televisions have been bought but have not yet been delivered. And our restaurant was closed for renovations. We hope you can come back again so you can enjoy the wonderful Long Beach and our Italian restaurant :)
Very clean and stylish place”
Very clean and stylish place, more than we expected, very nice hospitality service. The staff gave us a warm welcome and was very helpful with bookings of tours and transportation. Wish you luck with the re-opening of the rooftop Italian restaurant!

To expensive”
The european host is very friendly, staff in general is very friendly - however, value for money is not as good. We had ants all over the place and suffered for the time of our stay under the stings. Furthermore, we had a room to the street with very annoying barking dogs (all night long). Nevertheless, the rooms are small and nice. The restaurant is expensive but worth the money!

Marina hotel, la dolce vita in San Vicente”
I really love this place for its uniqueness. The room was very cosy but fully equipped (counted at least 8 electric plugs!) and a good change from the usual squared business rooms. The rooftop is the best of San Vicente, ok maybe the only one :-), but it could compete with any rooftops thanks to its own warm atmosphere. It will make you want to spend your evening there reading, writing, talking, eating, drinking or singing. I strongly suggest that you stop for more than a night and appreciate how laidback this small city is compared to the touristy Port Barton or busy Puerto Princesa. The Marinal hotel is where to experience in San Vicente some kind of tropical dolce vita. Enjoy and relax.

Recommended”
We had a room upgrade since the room that we have booked is not available during our stay. The only problem is that you need to inform the hotel if youre travelling with child/children because they ask for extra charge/s but in our case they did not since we just stay for a night. The rooms are clean, the filipino staffs are very warm and friendly.

Lovely!”
So unexpected to find a gem like this in San Vicente Poblacion. The design, the details and the staff...everything was great. Only I never got to try the restaurant, because too few guests at this time. I highly recommend this place.

Swindled by the owner at the terrace restaurant.”
Marina Terrace hotel was a big disappointment. It is one of the only hotels in this small town, and the room was decent, but the owners are purposely deceptive with their meal pricing. The town is also desolate and the beaches are full of crabs and hard sand. They aren't popular for a reason. It's not a nice beach. There is no one on it at any time even though it is 12km long. I believe I was the only tourist staying in the entire town over the prior four days. There are also power outages here and a lot of left over destruction and debris from last year's hurricane. And for that, I have to give a low score on this review. I was told that breakfast was available at the terrace restaurant on the roof, even though the restaurant is usually closed now due to low tourism; makes sense. Breakfast was not included with my reservation, but I decided to try it. It was a PANCAKE WITH ONE EGG, some toast, and a small strip of bacon. After eating I got up to ask about the price and I pulled my wallet out ready to pay. I was given a hand wave by the owner and told that "it is fine." Oops. That was a lie. He insuated that he was offering me a free breakfast. At the end of my four day stay, I was charged 300 pesos per breakfast for 1200 PHP total, despite that "it's fine" signal at first. And I thanked them for breakfast every day. Why? Because I thought the owner was being generous. But he was not being generous. Walter said "oh, I told you you could pay at the end." but he did not say that. And he DID NOT TELL ME THE PRICR of breakfast beforehand. There was no menu. I asked for one, but he just told me what they were serving. The same 1 pancake and 1 egg breakfast each day. Okay. I understand that it does not cost much to make that (maybe 30 pesos at most), so I thought it made sense if he was trying to get a good review from a guest. But, as it turns out, Walter was more interested in tricking his guest into paying a high price. He did the same with a dinner that I purchased b

Dear Brian, It was actually 3 pancakes and 3 eggs for you and 1 pancake and 1 egg for your girlfriend, because that's what you asked for. And to be fair, your breakfast included: pancakes, eggs, bacon, toast, maple syrup, banana, butter, jam and coffee Also, I never said: "it's fine", but I said: "you can pay at the end of your stay". I know my English is not very good, but all the guests so far (in 5 years of business) have always understood me. Instead, you are right that I didn't tell you the price from the beginning, but it wasn't ill will, I certainly didn't want to deceive you, but I simply forgot. The day before your arrival a dear friend of mine died in an accident and for a few days I had trouble concentrating on work, so, sorry for the misunderstanding. In any case, giving a low score to our hotel, because there are electricity cuts in the city (which we obviously can't do anything about) or because the typhoon has done damage, seems to me decidedly unfair
Excellent”
good town setting, with a great roof deck for breakfast and evening meals. Due to the smallness of the town and the limited number of guests you may need to prearrange meals. Owner was flexible in allowing us access to the room early/late. Our room was a bit small and of an odd shape, but it all worked properly. Bathrooms are as described on the website - and more wetrooms than bathrooms. But for the price, and the location, is was good and would happily go back.

Value for Money!”
Stayed in their solo room and it was really clean and well kept, the owner is very accommodating to the guests. He is really nice as well. The hotel is at the center of town so easy access to everything.

Misleading property listing”
At Agoda there is clear information that car parking space is provided, when in reality there is none. We have selected this proparty because of parking space and gentlemen who was handing keys to us was not able to locate any parking space for the car and told us to park on the road and when we have tried car was blocking whole very narrow road making it impassable which made locals almost furious. On another day there was no staff available even to talk about the issue and when we were leaving again we could not find anyone to hand over the key. Property also is not in the best condition, dusty and bit run down, but this is what I was expecting anyway.

Just in front of our building is a wide street with plenty of space to park cars. We have only 4 rooms and no inhabitant of this village owns a car, so there is always free space to park. No local has been mad about your parked car, first of all because no one cares at all about parked cars, and also because the villagers are extremely nice people who never get angry, for any reason. We have recently reopened, after almost three years of forced closure due to the pandemic. In addition, a violent typhoon hit the area a few months ago. So it is normal that there may be a few more specks of dust than normal. Over half of local tourism businesses have had to close due to the pandemic, and some have had their buildings completely destroyed by the typhoon. We barely survived. For this reason, at the moment, our staff is halved. We expect a minimum of understanding and empathy from our guests. And so it has been with all the recent guests, apart from you. So many thanks for that.
