About comparable to a motel in western American standards. Not very dirty but not clean. They have beach chairs but they are flimsy and dirty. Furniture is not in good condition and a trash can was made by putting two pots on top of each other.

Poor customer service; old run down facility”
Front desk folks were rude and uncaring; we had difficulty checking in when they did not want to give us the room we reserved, we had to show them the email where they confirmed that particular room and even then they were mad and didn’t orient us to how things worked in the room; facilities very run down: we ended up checking out early and moved next door to the lovely and friendly Marina Villa

Near the beach”
marina beach resort is situated at the beach of lamai, there is a path between the bungalows to the beach with a small bar an free chairs. its a very nice and long beach there, unfortunately there was no clear water. the rooms are ok, i used also the standard room before,and i would prefere that one, altough it is cheaper. there are lots of restaurants in the surrounding, but no food in the hotel. they have friendly staff.

It was very pleasent stay. Our impression is related for wonderfull garden and nice private beach. Staff is very professionally, service is good, and you have all what you need for very pleasent stay in Marina beach resort. However basic memories is about green enviroment in garden and nice bungalows by path to beach. Location is great and all atractions of the city are very close.

Marina Beach Resort is situated at the beach of Lamai. Passing along the bungalows you have a direct connection to the beach. There you have some chairs for free use. Its a very nice, long sandy beach, unfortunately the water was not clear during our stay there. The rooms are good value for money. You can find a lot of restaurents nearby. Friendly staff.

Fairly basic but comfortable property on the beach”
I paid very little for the Marina Beach so my expectations were low. I would say the hotel exceeded them. The room was clean and big, beds were comfortable (though a bit hard), the bathroom was fine - though the strange shower setup without a curtain takes some getting used to. The property itself is very basic, but reasonably well kept. The beach is nice, ample deck chairs and a cheap drinks are available. Location is quite close to the centre of Lamai town. so terrific we doubled our stay time”
our room was spacious light and airy. marble tiles in room and bathroom, very crisp and clean. good aircon good desk space and wardrobe ( with hangers) tv and fridge. out the door and down the tree-lined path to the sea and sand, have a free coffee at their beach side bar. however the mattresses were very firm and we swapped room next day to another splendid room, lovely beds ! front desk staff were most helpful. we reckon we got real value for money here so booked another five nights (high season $35 per night). the location is good on the beach and only five mins. away from the night food markets. the 'outback pub' is just down the street where you get meals one can't jump over, kat great prices. we're sure to be back again !

Good value for money and great beach”
i spent 4 days at marina beach, and everything was good. first, the beach is great, i never saw water being low. bungalow was pretty simple, but ac and shower were working, so wat else do you really need? there are plenty of shops and restraunts around. resort itself did not offer breakfast, so people mostly went to will wait restraunt for that, very close to reception. all in all, i liked it there and may recoment this hotel to my friends.

Nice spot on the beach!”
quiet little resort right on the beach in lamai. our first room was a nice size, but up 3 flights of stairs so we asked to be moved. we were put in a bungalow which was perfect. clean room and very quiet. the hotel is in a central part, so all you need is in walking distance. lots of good restaurants to choose from, or as we prefer, great street food nearby as well.

Great location, on beach and near bars, but quiet”
Hotel is next to Marina Villa which I thought I had booked.... Had requested a superior room, but don;t know what the difference is with the standard rooms. Superior was disappointing, at rear of block furtherest from beach. On 2nd day asked for and got a Cabana near the beach so could sleep to the sound of waves. Paid the dofferent rate for this +U$10.

Great beach hotel,fabulous room ”
We upgraded to a Superior room with its own balcony on the walkway to the beach. Splendid room and bathroom , always kept super clean and tidy ( most attentive house keepers we have experienced) . Tree lined walkway to the beach kept tidy. The wide beach is kept clear of the usual bottles and rubbish found on lots of Thai beaches. The ocean swimming ig good.. Lots of families enjoying the beach. This is our second visit here and it lived up to our expectations. WIFI a big improvement from last year but could do with a bit more uumph. We will visit again next year. On the down side we asked reception four or five times to fix the in-house safe....'yes. Yes ' but never happened. Also reception could improve their manner to something more welcoming and hospitable , perhaps a smile. (Still I don't have to deal with whinging tourists every day)

Fantastic room and location for cheap price! ”
As we are travelling around Thailand we are very open minded about hotels. This one was perfect for a 5 day stay. The receptionist was cold towards us until I proved my booking but that was the only hiccup. We had a fantastic large room with a balcony and it was cleaned everyday. You are right next to the beach and the town so the location couldn't have been better! The 'bar' is a fridge by the beach but what more do you need ! Guests get to use the deck chairs which was a bonus and a nice place to sit in the evening under the moon . The restaurant was adequate and quite cheap compared to the pricey main strip ! The women who worked in the travel shop were lovley and helpful! Great stay !!

Marina is a lovely modern resort with both bungalows and rooms although there a re a few to many steps to bring heavy bags up to the top floor thats the only negative for this lovely resort.

Easy going Resort”
My stay was nice. Staff is friendly and everything is easy going in that resort. Rooms are clean and room size is good. Really good value for money. Location is great, close from the center point and direct on the beach. Go there again.
