Where to stay in Marina District
Marina District hotels & accommodations
Although San Francisco is a known expensive place to stay, La Luna Inn made it worth the value we paid for. The staff made us feel at home and gave us directions and recommendations on how to go around San Francisco area as tourist. The hop on ,hop off bus recommended though was time consuming because of the waiting time between buses. This is located at Lombard Street...
Stayed at this hotel for a couple of nights and ended up extending our stay here. The rooms were ready for us prior to the usual check in time which was fantastic as we arrived there several hours earlier than planned. The hotel is about 10 minutes walk to the Fisherman's Wharf area where you can have beautiful, fresh seafood, climb aboard ships on the historical Pier ...
The hotel room was very clean, and the location was close to all important places in San Francisco.
Clean room, good beds and pillows, basic facilities but suited my puspose. Actually great for Fort Mason and discovery around Marina district
Alexis is the best thing happen to Howard Johnson, she made our stay much more comfortable with the extra touch of service. Every morning she was there with a smile and I never head say no to anything. It was always "sure, ill get that for you"
Good location to pier and marina. Clean room, nice staff. We ordered room for five, but suiteable for not more than four
Excellent for the price. The staff was amazing and very helpful. I had a loose toilet seat cover that was fixed immediately. They gave lots of good information. Great location too
I DON'T RECOMMEND THIS MOTEL TO ANYONE!! We arrived hotel at 1 a.m. The stuff even didn't welcome us. He suddenly said credit card and id. I asked several questions and again no answer. Just like a parrot he continued credit card and id. It was the rudest attitude we have ever faced in USA. The location is ok if you have a car. 20 minutes drive to some attractions. No...
This is an excellent choice for a mid to lower priced hotel (for generally expensive San Francisco)close to the Marina district, many restaurants, and walking distance to many of the famous sights. Very good location, and importantly parking is included in the room charge.
Booked last minute for 4th of July mini-vacation. Was a little unsure based on other reviews but when I only looked at those written by families with older children, I felt better. Hotel was very nice for the price. Bed only moderately comfortable but what i expected for price. Room was clean, shower and toilet worked fine. Did not use wi-fi or TV. Having microwave an...
Loved the location in the Marina district. Excellent access to public transit. The only con was having a room on Lombard Street for the first night which was very noisy. I changed rooms for the following three nights away from the street and everything was great.
although this placed looked a little sketchy from the outside, the rooms were very clean and pleasant, if nothing to write home about. we did have problems with the toilet seat falling off and they turned off the water for renovations without notifying anyone so we were caught in the shower with soap in our hair. there was no phone in the room to call the front des...
We stayed at the Presidio Inn for Outside Lands and it served our purposes well: an affordable motel in the City NOT in the Tenderloin District. It was great to stay off of Lombard and take either the bus or a cab to the festival each day. As for the room, it was nothing special but clean and contained a full kitchenette. There was a nice view of the city on the out...
Marina Inn is located on the edge of the Marina District and in easy walking distance to Fisherman's Wharf area and other San Francisco attractions. The hotel is quite run down and in need of an update but we were out for most of the day and just needed somewhere affordable. The included continental breakfast was adequate. Would have been nice to know before we booked ...
Floors dirty. Nice view and comfortable room. Close to market abd eateries! Older building but an elevator would have been nice. Owner exceptional. He was willing to do anything to make our stay nice. He even offered fruit or something to snack on when we checked in. Thank you
Pros: Good location
