Three-star service at five-star prices
Location, malls, and atrium
The room was smelly from cigarette smoke. The interiors modern looking but used and a little run down. At 2am, was greeted by a staff banging down the door repeatedly while in the middle of a shower to rudely inform me of a noise complaint from playing music from my tiny bluetooth speakers FROM INSIDE the bathroom. How flimsy are your walls? Never felt this sorry for staying at a hotel before.

Awesome breakfast and pool!
Swimming pool (2.3m deep!), Aquamarine breakfast, Architectural design
We managed to book a basic room with GSS price on Agoda. It came with bf. The restaurant, Aquamarine, is huge, able to hold a lot of guests. The butler is polite and efficient, so were the food handlers. Food is promptly replenished, and always toasty. Range of variety is commendable, ranging from pastries to cooking-your-own-noodles! The porridge is wonderful given all the traditional condiments that comes with it. The swimming pool is huge, there are more than enough deck chairs with/without shades. Large part of the pool is dedicated to serious swimmers, where the water depth is 2.3m! Well, I could only swim as the shallower end. Awesome, nonetheless. The inside of the hotel is small, but the architectural design enlarged it visually. I love how they managed to retain the old elegant look (Glass lifts included) and still look so artily updated. It is connected to Suntec City, which is linked to Marina Square and Raffles City. That is Cityhall MRT Station. Huge hub, it connects you to Sg's newly refurbished art deco building - The Capitol (Theatre). You're in the centre of town.

Staff was not friendly at the reception counter, upon at check in suppose to approach a lady but she was slamming her papers on table and we rather que for other counter. Was glad that we was upgraded to a suite room, however the room cleaniness was not there, water stains at the table and was sticky, housekeeping apparently did not check the ammentities as we wanted to use the shaver but there is no shaver only left the cream which was left over by previous guest! Not a great stay this trip! P

not that fantastic
location is the only great thing about the hotel actually
it was mediocre. we were upgraded to a deluxe executive, yet, the design of the room was surprisingly disappointing. Room was outdated, called for extra shower foam, did not appear until we requested again the next day. swimming pool was normal. would not come back again.

Disappointed
Staff & Breakfast Buffet
Felt the room decor was a bit tired. We were also put right down the end of corridor opposite fire escape. There was a distinct smell of cigar in the bathroom. The plug in the bathroom didn't allow the use of the hairdryer provided. had to use it outside the bathroom and without a mirror. Expect fresh milk in 5 star accommodation. Room service menu very expensive and food was terrible.
