Great location, nice hotel”
Location was great. Right next to the promenade and was also within walking distance of a subway station and not too far from CSMT train station. I stayed there only for half a day and one night. I felt the room was not too big, it was just enough - but I suppose space is at a premium at the location.

Right Location. Right Price. Right Choice”
Marine Plaza is ideally located at Marine drive, just walking distance from Nariman Point and other important places in South Mumbai. It is neat, clean and ideally maintained. The staff is extremely helpful. It is also a very ideal place for a morning and evening walk on the marine drive, to keep you fit. There are nice eating joints. If you like a Gujrati Thali, the restaurant is just 5 minutes walking distance. I would strongly recommend this hotel as one of the best in budget category with excellent location and well maintained rooms and amenities.

Hotel is good from proximity perspective to Marine Drive, however few basic amenities lacking such as no nearby shops for coffee/tea and the hotel rates for even a coffee and tea will be around 700 which I felt was a waste of money. Food can be cheaper, not sure why it's so expensive. Also the wifi was horrible. Very slow and had frequent connection issues. Phone in room only worked in speaker phone mode and didn't work when you lift the phone. Didn't expect such poor maintenance for a 5 star Fridge was empty so also was the snack bar. They could have kept something atleast. I have seen cheaper hotels provide more value for money. On positive side the staff were courteous and friendly.

Marine Plaza - Great Location and good Rooms”
I would recommend this hotel just for the great location across Marine Drive. Rooms are spacious and well designed. Food is great as well. On the negatives, I would say the Restaurant service needs to be improved. The ambeince around Rooftop pool could be changed and made more inviting. Overall a decent place. Just don't compare to other grand 5 Star hotels.

We travelled from London and arrive at hotel at approx 2.30am and regret to inform we had bad experience having been advised by booking in staff that they did not receive authorisation of 4 people over the age of 65 yrs. we waited 45 mins for them check however the personal was kind enough to accommodate us having been informed that they will check in the morning once senior office reports to work. Fortunately matter was resolved but left very bitter test having had to wait after a long flight.

Location is best but the facilities needs upgradation for the price they charge. Opening terrace in night for night view of the ring is must though they may choose to close the pool. We had asked to have the morning breakfast packed due to early checkout but to our surprise, it was really disappointed. Items they choose to pack was not the one we had asked to pack.

Very bad check in experience and staff not trained”
Changed three rooms on arrival. Bad communication. Different staff members gave conflicting advice. One asked for my visa even though I had Indian passport. Some said I can’t smoke in my room others said I can. Explained everything to manager on site and asked her to train all staff uniformly so they communicate the same information to hotel guests

The room with sea view was great. Love the huge glass window overseeing the sea view. The room and toilet were spacious. It has free wifi in the room. The breakfast was good too! It has sufficient selection for me.

Never thought that I would find bugs and maggots in the rooms and a vip guests security personnel could be so inconsiderate that I would be up complaining about the noise all night!!! Absolutely disappointed with the quality of the rooms, hygiene, cleanliness and noise...I had no peace and quiet The location of the property and the staff are extremely great..but poor management and very low hygiene standards make this place an absolute nightmare!!

Marine Plaza hotel is probably one of the best hotels in Mumbai. Its beautiful art deco style and stunning views from the breakfast lounge are to behold. The Hotel staff are superlative. Kevin on reception was most helpful and Yogeshi and Rajoo on the Concierge made our stay fantastic. Our room orderly did an amazing job ensuring that the facilities were refreshed at all times.
