A very clean and friendly place with the best buffet breakfast”

There are numerous B&B hotels in Shanklin and from the outside, the Marlborough Hotel doesn't look particularly special. However, once inside I was struck by the cleanliness of the place and freshly painted walls. Our room was on the top floor, which was quite a few flights of stairs up and unfortunately the wi-fi reception didn't get all the way there....they should invest in a booster! I've given it a high rating mainly because of the quality of the breakfast and friendly service. The breakfast was really good.....fresh fruit salads, yogurt, french pastries and multiple versions of the classic English breakfast.

Excellent”

A typical old style hotel with some small rooms and some bigger. We had a bigger room which was totally acceptable in size. The room was clean and facilities were good. I have to say that Ive stayed at hotels all over the world and for what we paid for our stay I havnt seen a better breakfast anywhere else. It was something to look forward to each day.

Expensive and tiny room”

Breakfast and location. Not the manager

After booking I received an email from the manager asking for payment in full in cash on arrival. I diddnt think much about this until I went into one of the hotel bars across the road to the left. They asked where I was staying and they were quite shocked because they were charging half that price but they were not advertising on agoda. I feel like the manager is insisting on payment right away in cash so you can't cancel and move elsewhere for half the price he is charging. The hotel itself is quite please t but very small rooms, you couldn't swing a cat in there. The garden on the front was also very nice for sitting in the sunshine. Overall an ok hotel but I think it's Very over priced
