Good value and close to a big local market”
To catch the free shuttle from Chiang Mai old (in front of Hotel M), remember to confirm with the hotel in advance. Otherwise, it may not be available. Highly recommanded to follow the hotel leaflet to explore the antique collection in the hotel

Quiet Resort outside of the city”
If you don't mind the 20-25 min car transfer time between Chiang Mai City and the Resort, then this Resort is a fabulous option: It's quiet, it offers great interior design, good restaurant, nice river view, good staff, and is well organized.

A little haven of tranquility outside the city”
Everything tasteful - no pink in sight. Really, a little nature reserve with lots of birds and frogs beautiful plants and all well cared for. For those that want to be outside the noisy, busy city, I recommend it. Though the hotel does run a shuttle bus. I commend Agnes, the restaurant Manager particularly. Also Max. The rest of the staff are very sweet but generally hampered by poor English but they are willing and keen to please. Services on site are pricey - particularly the spa. The main let down is the food, which is mediocre.

Remote, Artsy & Rustic...a step back in time.”
This is our 2nd time in Chiang Mai. This time, we brought our parents to celebrate their 40th Anniversary. This place was definitely memorable. We stayed in a 2bedroom villa. The property was magical and rustic...for those that appreciate art, antiques, nature, teak wood houses, the sound of birds, streams, frogs, in the morning, this place takes you back in time...and really makes you feel you're far away from it all. We stayed 2 nights, but could easily stay for another 2. However, Breakfast was a bit of a downer. For the price you pay, and in comparison with other hotels (in general), the selection was limited and the quality was mediocre. The coffee machine didn't work at the time of our stay....and the alternative tea available was LIPTON TEA BAG. Ouch. I'm a big tea drinker and Lipton is the bottom of the barrel. With all the effort spent on the detail of hotel hotel, the F&B was probably neglected or low budget. The eating venue was great with the views of the river. Complimentary shuttle 2x a day to Chiang Mai town. The latest pick up I believe was around 6,30pm or 6.45pm....so if you were interested in the Night Market, then you'd have to fetch your own ride for another 500 bhat or so. Also, if this is your first time in Chiang Mai, I would personally prefer to be in town. The location is 30 mins away from the main town. When we wanted to book the excursion to see Doi Ithannon mountain or Chiang Rai--but it was was too far and remote for the travel tour to pick us up. Something to keep in mind. So, we ended up fetching a taxi back to the main city to be included in the excursion. It was a bit of a hassle. So, if you want to be close to the action and go to night markets, massages after dinner, etc...then it could be a costly location as far as transportation. I'd say, start Chiang Mai with all the activities and reserve the last 2 nights/1 night at this place. It's a step back in time, beautiful place.

Quiet With Old Charm”
This hotel is what I am looking for. It is located away from the busy downtown Chiengmai but you can go into town using the hotel shuttle van (schedule). We relaxed by the pool and learned how to make Thai crafts from very friendly hotel staffs.
