clean and basic in a location
Our double room in the hostel was clean and comfortable, with working aircon and fan, a TV, hairdryer etc. Obviously the room was a little bit basic, and we were given just a sheet instead of a duvet, but it was comfortable and a good price in comparison to other accommodation in Hong Kong. The staff were friendly and let us check in really late on the Friday night. The hostel is located in Chunking Mansions which is a really interesting place to stay, although it will definitely not suit everyone! Yes you might be offered drugs outside the building, or inside, but there's also really excellent curries from the food vendors inside :) The location of this hostel was very central. It was right next to the Tsim Sha Tsui metro station and about 7 minutes walk from the Star Ferry pier.

Dirty and barely enough space to turn around, but ok to sleep in
Get what you pay for, it's located in Chungking Mansions which is the cheapest accomodation in HK. Suffocatingly crowded, dirty mattress, room has beds and a tiny space which is just enough to squeeze your body onto them. However, lay the sheets on the dirty mattresses and it's ok to sleep on, there's airconditioning, and the shower works fine. You really get what you pay for, at the end of the day it served my purposes fine (budget place to sleep and shower in).

Do not book in any ChungKing mansion hostel if you are a female solo traveler
I did not really stay here because I booked it without researching. My friends who already went to Hong Kong said that I should not stay in Chung King at any cost especially because I'm alone and I will be arriving very late at night on my first day. When I accidentally passed at that building in my second night, there were groups of men who stared creepily and made me feel unsafe. Perhaps it is okay if you are travelling with someone, the location is just across the Tsim Sha Tsui station and along the busy street of Nathan road.
