Good location for our function. but desperately in need of facelift. Exterior & interior very shabby”
Good value at the price. Breakfast was very good, but I remember the venue as being the height of " chic" in the 1970' s, sadly it doesn't appear to have had much spent on the exterior & interior decoration since then ! Reception staff were most obliging when we asked to change rooms, as the original room stank of cigarette smoke. Bedroom looked as if it had been more recently updated but would benefit from a furniture upgrade. Bed was fine & bedding was clean. View from the bedroom window was a bit grim for a " superior" room. Overall competitively priced but just disappointed that a fine old Middlesbrough landmark has been left to decay somewhat. Would look for a more modern establishment if stopping in the area again.
