Marunouchi hotel is located opposite the Tokyo Station. The hotel basement is connected to the underground North exit of the station, and great access to the Yamanote line and Marunouchi line. We had a wonderful 3 days stay in a twin bed room. Hotel staff are polite, helpful and proficient in English. Was very impressed with the amount of details that the hotel management and staff have looked into to ensure that the room is equipped with everything that a traveller would require. Marunouchi hotel will no doubt be our first choice if we ever visit Tokyo again.
Spacious & modern room, excellent location”
Very impressed with everything about the hotel. The room is spacious (by Japanese standards), modern, very clean. Excellent use of space in the bathroom, although small, it still fits a bathtub and doesn't feel cramped (mind you, I'm asian, so caucasians may disagree with this). Staff are friendly & very polite and also attentive to our needs. At check in the front desk noted that we were travelling with a child, when we got into our room, an extra set of towels had already been prepared for us. Staff were also happy to help send our luggage to our next hotel (using Yamato services). Location is excellent, the hotel connects directly to Tokyo Station on level B1, and is just across the Tokyo Station Marunouchi North Gate on ground level. A wonderful experience overall, will definitely consider staying here again.
worth splurging on”
deciding to splurge on our last night in japan, the marunouchi hotel seemed to tick the boxes. lobby is on the 7th floor, ultra helpful staff who try their best to assist you. security card details were explained at the desk then we were shown straight to the room by the hotel clerk. entering the room you're presented with a decent sized wardrobe along with a safe, going in further you'll see a dresser table with mirrors from waist height to the ceiling and to the left is a roomy bathroom. through the last door you're presented with the main room with a decent sized room desk, large tv with towels and robes neatly tucked into draws, 2 single seaters, lots of walking space and a large comfy bed. located right at tokyo station, highly recommended.
Amazing hotel close to Tokyo Station”
Stayed here for 1 night as was just passing through Tokyo Station. I needed something to be close to the station as I had my mum travelling with me who can't walk far. We took the Airport Limousine from Narita Airport and it stopped right outside the hotel. We arrived around 15 minutes before check in time but they checked us is right away. The room was lovely and quiet as it faced towards the inside of the building. The bathroom was spacious and provided lots of amenities should we need them. The bed was amazing to sleep in after a long flight. Check out the next morning was simple and quick. All in all value for money is what you get here. It's expensive but not overly so and you are right on the doorstep of the Marunouchi Exit of Tokyo Station. Couldn't ask for more.
Serious style in the centre of Tokyo”
the marunouchi hotel was a stylish modern hotel incredibly well located in tokyo. an easy walk with subway access to the tokyo station it give easy access to the classy ginza ditrict and many tourist highlights. while it is located in a large building the hotel is in fact quite small. the staff were incredibly helpful - even by the high japanese standards, and all spoke excellent english. we only had one meal in house and it was in a wonderful space and was excellent and good value. the king bedroom was smallish but well appointed and quiet.
Couldn't be any better with the price we paid”
Got there around 6pm local time. Very easy taking the Express train to reach Tokyo station. Hotel was just less than 5 minutes walk from there. There was an underground tunnel directly link to the hotel from the station. Just ask the station staff. Reception staff were friendly and polite. Gave us free upgrade (complimentary breakfast). Although not much choice for the breakfast (egg, sausage, bacon, salad, fruits, bread etc) but it was good enough for us. The room was not that small actually compared to the other hotels that I have stayed. Room was clean and tidy. All amenities were complete. Very thoughtful of them. Next morning took a stroll to the Imperial Palace and East Garden (12 minutes walk). Heard my friend said that there was a Ramen street at the Tokyo Station but too bad we already left for Kyoto the next morning. Took the Shinkansin to Kyoto from the Tokyo Station the next day. Will definitely stay here again in future.
Super Friendly and Professional Staff”
The Marunouchi Hotel is located immediately adjacent to Tokyo Station so arriving and departing the hotel and the Chiyoda area is quite easy. I was immediately impressed with the check-in staff and Tanaka answered all of my questions with enthusiasm. My room was exactly what you would expect from a hotel in Japan - not big but equipped with every amenity a traveler would need to make themselves at home during their stay. There were several in-house restaurants, and, if you’d rather, other food venues abound throughout the area where the hotel is located. This is not my first stay at this property and hopefully it won’t be my last either.
Great location with typical Japanese high level of cleanliness and efficiency”
The standard rooms are quite small. They are efficiently designed, particularly for business travelers. I have everything I need from a hotel room in it. As you would expect, the rooms are kept in perfect condition. The location is the biggest attraction. It is situated in the premier Central Business District, Marunouchi/Otemachi. It is connected to the Tokyo Station and the Otemachi Station through the underground. The Tokyo is station is literally just right across the road. It will always be one of my top choices in Tokyo.
Comfortable stay which made our vacation relaxing ”
Our stay in Marunouchi Hotel was comfortable enabling our vacation to be relaxing. The location is very accessible especially to the Tokyo Station. The staff are friendly and very helpful and accommodating. I will not hesitate to recommend Marunouchi Hotel to friends and business associates whenever they have a trip to Tokyo
A great location and five star hospitality ”
Very new and a convenient location opposite the north Marunouchi exit of Tokyo Station. Linked by underpasses to convenient stores, ramen shops and plenty of other eating choices. Also the smart shops around the Marunouchi business district eg Miyake and Beams. Maruzen's four storey bookshop packed with stationery and gifts on the lower floors. Rooms are well appointed and boast luxurious linens and pillows. Five star amenities as well. Breakfast has American and Japanese choices and very efficient and English speaking staff.
Decent size room, responsive staff and central location”
We stayed here for a couple of days after a cruise and would stay there again when visiting Tokyo. The Airport Limousine Bus (best way to/from Narita) stops right at the hotel and they have tickets at the front desk. Our room was ready early as we requested and was clean and comfortable. Fast, free wi-fi worked great. Complimentary mineral water in the fridge. The hotel restaurants are a bit expensive - USD$26 pp for a buffet breakfast that had little on offer. However, the Oazo Building is attached to the hotel and an elevator ride to the 5th and 6th floors will take you a bunch of great restaurants and a ride down to B1 will put you in Tokyo Station with all it has to offer. Speaking of which, you can go just about anywhere from Tokyo Station quite easily and you don't even have to go outside to get there. Happy to recommend the hotel.
Marunouchi Hotel Tokyo Stay”
I enjoyed my stay at the Marunouchi Hotel and will definitely stay there again the next time I visit Tokyo. The hotel is very convenient for Tokyo and JR stations, as well as Ginza and the Imperial Palace. I will definitely recommend this hotel to my friends and colleagues for when they visit Tokyo.
Steps away from Tokyo station, beautiful neighbourhood, amazing hotel”
All round excellent, spacious room for the price, great location and underground access to Tokyo station, lots of eateries in the station and nearby buildings, high quality and very thoughtful design of the rooms and facilities, beautiful hotel lighting and architecture, Marunouchi area is also very nice...worth every dollar
Hotel is connected to the main tokyo station via underground passage. Clear signage shows easy directions to reach hotel. Ig you get confused with directions in basement, just come out to the main entrance of the station and the hotel will be visible on the right across the road. There train station has a lot to offer in terms of food and shopping. There is kitchen street, ramen street and character street to name a few interesting areas within the station basement (underground) In summer tokyo gets very hot and humid. Basement shops and shopping is best to stay cool and comforted. Hotel offers limited buffet choices especially if you are staying a few days, you might not enjoy the same limited menu every morning. We experienced termors during our stay ad there was an earthquake in the northers side of Japan. The hotel is safe and built to withstand earthquakes we were informed. Cleanliness was good. Hotel employees, kind and pleasant all through the 4 days we stayed there.
The Marunouchi Hotel exceeded our expectations”
We chose The Marunouchi because of its proximity to Tokyo Station. We were wonderfully surprised that it was way better than expected. Plus the management, staff and everyone in this facility treated us as Royals (and we are just an ordinary couple). This was our first time at The Marunouchi, but now it will be our hotel of first choice when we return to Japan.
No hassle getting straight to work”
First - it's right next to the Tokyo station, meaning Narita to Tokyo on TNex. The station's a little confusing but once you walk out, it's on the right, across the road. Can get more convenient than than! Underneath is a huge underground crypt with Daimaru and lots of small interesting boutique shops. The Daimaru is great cos you can go shop for food, get back to the room, eat dinner than get to work for the EU then US timezones. I was even able to have dinner with my family in HK via FaceTime. The people are wonderful, service discreet and just allows you to do what you need to do. Also, the hotel is well known by the locals. If you need to show that your company is willing to spend appropriately to invest in Japan, just mentioning the hotel gets you some brownie points even though its actually reasonably priced for the location and quality.
Best combo of location and comfort for intl traveler in financial center through Narita”
Located literally across the street from Tokyo Station, convenient for Narita Express trains. Hotel staff are so nice and helpful -- a pleasure to deal with. Main downsides: - use of lounge limited to very expensive room packages - if you want to use restaurant for casual meetings drinks are very expensive ($10-12 coffee) - rooms are quite small - no overnight laundry service - lately increasingly hard to book cheaper single rooms Result: Becoming a bit of an "in betweener" for me. Finding myself staying at higher end places (Peninsula, Four Seasons, Capitol Tokyu) when on a larger budget, and older stand-bys (New Otani) or going down to business hotels when looking to economize. a shame because I really like the hotel, location is fantastic, and the staff are so nice. But when looking for value just doesn't make sense to pay $350 for a small room when serviceable options are available for half that (or less).
the most conveniently located hotel in tokyo.....”
i booked the marunouchi for two reasons: - excellent location. you can be in the lobby of the hotel from narita airport in about one hour. and tokyo station is also the launching point for any bullet train (shinkanse) going north to tohoku or south to kansai. - always liked the small boutique approach the hotel takes. truly boutique hotels are rare in 'the big sushi' so don't miss this one.
Convenience par excellence”
We only stayed at this hotel for one night on our return from a skiing holiday. As we were travelling with ski gear it was important to be near the railway station with easy access to the airport. The Marunouchi Tokyo is literally across the road from the central railway station. When we arrived we had to upgrade our room as I had inadvertently booked a room with a bed that wasn't big enough for two adults. It was called a semi-double, which I assumed must have just meant a small double as my booking for two people was accepted. Beware- semi double means king single and is only for one person. This is an excellent hotel but it is certainly not a budget hotel. Use it when convenience is more important than cost. COMMENT: We didn't eat at the hotel but I was unable to submit this review leaving that box blank - there should be a not applicable box to tick!
Clean, great location”
Solo traveler for business. Clean hotel with a great location (1 minute walk from Tokyo station, take Marunouchi North Exit and then walk across the zebra crossing to Marunouchi Oazo, the hotel is inside there on the 7th floor). I booked a superior double room, expensive but big. Bathroom was small despite room size, but still perfectly functional and clean. Nice place, would stay again for business.
