Great Location ”
This hotel is a smaller hotel with a great team of friendly staff. The rooms are a good size for the price and have must of the stuff needed except for an in room safe.Altogether a nice place to stay if you don,t want to break the budhet.Mr. Bobs restaurant next door is excellent and right on the beach.
Pricey compared to others in Bali, but best price in Nusa Dua”
The hotel was very well kept. beautiful gardens and nice clean paths. The pool is very beautiful and deep. There is also a private beach. The staff is nice and the rooms are very clean and service was done everyday to empty out trash and replace towels.
Very good choice if you want to stay close to beach & swimming pool, fantastic staff & restaurant”
Very good deal ! We didn t pay much to stay here. Neighbouring hotels are such as CONRAD ! Peninsula ! NIKKO etc etc, so you can see, that this is a very very propper area. Hotel is fantastic. Mr Bob is a superb restaurant facing the beach and the staff is extremely helpful and kind, special thanks to always look after our young boys when they were in the pool. We felt safe, sleep is very good and the hotel is a little tropical paradise with palm trees and greenery everywhere. We were 100% satusfied about EVERYTHING, specially about the staff !! Thanks for that !!
Value for money”
The room is clean and big. The only problem i guess is during at night in the restaurant area. Mosquitoes are everywhere, but the good thing here is they provide mosquito repellent lotion and coil burns.
Fantastic stay, quiet friendly hotel. Old style Bali...wonderful.”
A real gem if you prefer real Balinese friendliness and style rather than concrete carpark style big hotels. We loved it, every minute. Yes it is old but honest and that is its charm. From the cool pool ( shallow and deep so beautifully cool) and right next to the beach (which is methodically cleaned) , the cool bougainvillea roof, lovely old gardens and big cool rooms with their own quiet shady verandah. Yes the bathrooms were not built in 2016 but they are practical and clean with good hot and cold water pressure. A nice big fridge, good comfy bed and indoor seating set of the cool restful room. There is also a wonderful restaurant right next to the pool so meals can be enjoyed looking out to sea. Enjoy we did. MR. BOB's restaurant was great, we thoroughly enjoyed the baby ribs, great taste, juicy and cooked brilliantly. We were also lucky enough to taste test their new Arak and wild mountain honey liqueur, check the specials board to see if it is available, a really great end to a lovely meal. This hotel is a hidden gem, can't wait to return. Many thanks to Nyoman, Ketut and Harry for their real Balinese hospitality.
i was here with my family (2 toddlers and 1 baby) and also my parents and brothers. we booked 3 rooms for 3 days. the rooms were spacious which located in 1 building. there are only 26 rooms, so it was quiet enough. the hotel has a pool which located in front of the private beach. we enjoying the sun rise from the beach. however, the breakfast menu was not different day to day. also, the water shower was not running well. overall, we satisfied with this hotel. it is valued for money and hope we can stay in this hotel again for the next vacation.
Small but beautiful hotel”
I am happy stay at this hotel... with humble staff, nice beach front and quiet surrounding. This hotel the best place for a couple who are looking for honeymoon place with affordable price and not crowded people in the hotel. The staff very helpfullness and humble, they are not hesitate to help us before we ask it.
Good hotel, Would Stay Here again.”
Staff were lovely. The grounds are lovely and kept in immaculate condition. The room was large, the bed comfortable and the room cleaned to the standard you would expect. The restaurant looks out onto the beach so it is a lovely place to just have a drink or a meal. It is good value if you want a meal and the food was lovely. Our deal included breakfast which was good. Make sure if transfers are part of the deal that its on your voucher we were caught, lucky it isn't too expensive there. We only stayed for three days and wish we had stayed a week as it is a lovely place to unwind. It is central to everything in Nusa Dua and we would stay here again.
Great View, Great Room”
The service is great, people here are friendly and they are trying to help. This is my 3rd stay and I am still pleased. Room was a bit dirty, but I asked them to clean immediately and they do so. After that, no problem
Clean and Quiet room~”
It is close to the beach. Just 2 mins walk. The breadfast is inclued. I love the fired noodle, it is yummy! But the wifi is not free...local call is extremely expensive!!! I like the yellow flowr and the swimming pool!
Close to the beach in fact on the beach”
a very friendly place to stay all the staff were very helpful. the gardens are a feature of the complex and are beautifully maintained by the gardeners. we found our room very comfortable and clean but the best thing was the outside terrace where we could sit and relax in quiet comfort.
good location for relaxi”
we stayed at this hotel for about 3 nights and we have great experience on the hotel room and cleanliness. behind the hotel, there is beach, swimming pool and spa. restaurant also located in front of the beach. they have 2 kind of breakfast: american and balinese with each type has 2 kind of food. i like the fried rice. the only problem was small water debit. it took long time to take a shower. when we ask the housekeeping, the man said that's normal condition since they don't use jet pump from the water tank. overall, we have nice 3 nights stay at this hotel.
we checked in late on our first nite at Bali. Check in was relatively quick. I booked 3 rooms, and I think we all got upgraded. Rooms are clean and so is the bathroom, so that's a plus. This hotel has a nice beach front. Breakfast is not bad too.
Resort is closing 31st March 2019”
Best deal in town!”
This little, tucked away hotel ( look for the Mr. Bob’s sign ), has a very attractive setting with a beach front next to several high end hotels. The aforementioned, on grounds restaurant, had excellent meals. Note that it is next-door to a major event facility so can have noise when events are scheduled. Other than that it was a wonderful place to stay.
A little run down”
Matahari has lovely staff, great position and a nice deep pool. We found the rooms to be very simple, a mouldy smell, quite run down with an old box tv. No kettle in the room. Great restaurant, great staff.
Old school Bali hotel”
The Matahari is gorgeous the way Bali hotels were back in the 80's. Big room, beautiful garden, great restaurant, direct private beach and really cheap if booked well in advance. The place is old but lovely. The hotel is home to Mr Bob the restaurant - try the ribs. The only downside to the whole deal is the place next door that rents itself out for big conference parties. Loud parties - they finish most Friday & Saturday nights around 11pm. Of course, you will be out enjoying yourself, so it doesn't bother you does it...
Great place to relax and enjoy life.”
Beautiful hotel built 25 yrs ago and still looking great. Excellent service and very close to shops. Indian Ocean facing beach with an interesting reef. Great water sports available - own swimming pool. The restaurant offers great food at very reasonable prices. Tours and taxi service organised at the hotel. Close to the airport.
Breakfast was good, location was great, rooms need a good reno. Dark and musty. We were given single beds instead of doubles as paid for and told nothing else was available. Disappointed as for the price you can get much better value for money in seminyak.
Its situated in Nusa Dua which is a good area if you would like to take a breather before your journey begins. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. The facilities are always clean, the breakfast at the restaurant is a really good and the atmosphere is very relaxing. Try wake up early for the sunrise and sit in the garden next door, you won't regret it. Overall, definitely satisfied!
