Family Trip to Legaspi (overlooking Mayon Volcano)”

The Mayon View Apartelle and Restaurant Sa Bukid is a very good location especially if you have your own car. This is a budget place for big groups / family. We are 12 in the family and booked 2 rooms good for 6 persons per room. The room isn't big but it's comfortable enough to sleep for the night. It has a private bathroom and a mini kitchen (with sink) where you can put your things or prepare food. It is best to eat outside the room. We used the nipa huts and other tables in the garden when we ate our lunch and breakfast. Alternatively, they have a small restaurant where you can order food and drinks. The Mayon Volcano is overlooking (not full view) from the side of the room and at the garden ('bukid' side). This place also offers short stay (12 hours or less) which is also very affordable. If you don't have your own transport, you can ride the local transport (tricycle) to go there. About 3-5 minutes walk from the main road. Cleaniless? - you can deal with it. You are not staying there for long anyway. Just right for the price. ;-)

True Mayon View”

The staff named bernie apayon and others are so kindly and friendly. And here is true Mayon View,but not in the room. in the sweet and large garden, u can be very comfortable. And if u want to get close to the Mayon, you can tell Bernie Apayon to call Dioscoro Apuyan the very nice driver to take you there. Très bon vue de Mayon Valcon et très gentil les employees. 真正的火山景，但是不是在房间，不过没事，有个特别漂亮的大花园来看火山，从早到晚。

A quiet hotel, just a heartbeat from Mt. Mayon. ”

The room is large, it has a ref, hot shower, wifi, cable TV, the essentials. The breakfast is average but the food/beverage prices are reasonable. The room rate is cheap, the place is pleasantly cool and quiet and the wide garden offers a nice walk. I saw munias, sunbirds, and grassbirds in the trees. But while it supposedly gives you a majestic view of Mt. Mayon (which we however failed to see because of the uncooperative weather; it was our main reason for coming, so we are hoping to return to this hotel, maybe in summer), its distance from the city center may be a challenge for those who want to experience more of the city.

Was the best Hotel we stayed in”

It was awesome, meet some great people there, staff was very helpful to all our needs and concerns. I would consider this a 3-4 star hotel now, but the work and investment being placed into this hotel, it will soon be a 5 start hotel. I would stay there again and highly reccommend it to any of my friends travling to Legazpi, Bicol, Philippines

Poor Lighting and not so clean water”

The hotel lives up to its name as it provides a good view of Mt. Mayon. The price is reasonable. The room is good enough to accomodate 6 people. I find the room to have poor lighting and the water in the faucet not so clean. The water heater in the bathroom is not consistent.There's also nothing in the bathroom where you can hang your towel and clothes. There seems to be no guard in the hotel although the place looks safe.

this hotel is not for westerners, unless they are looking for a unique experience. the language barrier is too great. i ordered breakfast and the young man at reception understood and wrote down my order, i asked for a coffee first, which was brought to my table, and then i sat and waited, and waited. i went back and was told “wait” as i got near, so i assumed it was almost done, and so ordered another coffee, which he did for me, and i sat and waited again. i was in no hurry, but when my thoughts turned to what to have for lunch, i went back to the desk, and the man had gone, and an older man was now there, so i asked when my breakfast would arrive. he began to take my order, so i said "no, it is already being cooked, i am just waiting". his english was very poor, but i think i understood him say he was the cook. well, after a few more attempts, he saw an order on the desk, picked it up and said “yours?” i looked, and said “yes”, he said “wait” and went off to the kitchen. 5 minutes later i had my breakfast. (note: i later chose to extend my stay here, so this was not a big problem to me) the room service is almost non existent. having to ask for toilet rolls, soap and towels after checking into the room is not normal. i wonder if they assume that all guests bring their own toilet rolls, towels and soap. having booked a room for two, and being given just one towel, was also a little unusual. the soap… if you expect the shower gel and hair shampoo, bring it with you… i got 2 tiny soap bars. there was a hot shower in each room. tea and coffee ? at reception only, not in room. the wifi connection was outside only, not good when raining. the restaurant: one long table with about 12 chairs. but a very nice outside seating area, if the weather is good. this hotel is not for westerners, unless they are looking for a unique experience.

we arrived n the evening of sept 28. we were given room nr 3. ONLY ONE DOUBLE BED. WE BOOKED - TWO TWIN BEDS!!!! We were transferred to room nr 13! AIRCON IS NOT WORKING! MOVED TO ROOM NR 14. WATER HEATER DIDNT WORKED FIRST. HAD TO WAIT BEING FIXED. TV CONTROL DIDNT WORKD! ONLY ONE LIGHT BULB IN THE BEDROOM. iNTERCOM DIDNT WORKED. OVERHEAD LAMP ABOVE THE BED- NO BULB! DOOR KNOB DIDNT WORKED. WE WERE AGAIN TRANSFERRED TO ROM 1, ON THE SECOND NIGHT. BETTER, YET SAME THING, INTERCOM IS NOT WORKING, SHOWER HEAD JUST LEFT HANGING SINCE THERES NO HOLDER. NO MIRROR. NO TOILET PAPER HOLDER. DIM LIGHTS! I AM THEREFORE ASKING FOR REFUND!

Angenehmer Aufenthalt, sehr nettes Personal. Ausstattung spärlich. Mitgebrachtes Essen kann im Hotelrestaurant gegessen werden, oder Geschirr fürs Essen im Zimmer geborgt werden. Warme Küche nach Anmeldung vorhanden. WiFi war während der 4 Tage Aufenthalt nicht vorhanden (Router defekt...?). Keine Touristengegend. Bars, Restaurants etc. nur mit Taxi / Tricyle erreichbar.
