Chic and central with delightful, friendly staff”

Walk to museums, el Rastro, Cheuca, etc. Return to a smile and a welcome.
Melia's toll free reservations line in the U.S. could be more helpful. We used a web alternative.

Our first ever stay at a Melia hotel was last year in Barcelona. We selected our hotel in Madrid based on that great experience and were not disappointed. Same level of comfort, hospitality, and service. We can't say enough about the enthusiastic staff. Outside room (supreme) was bright, clean, and modern.

Really good hotel with best location in Madrid”

breakfast bit pricey

really nice stay in madrid. location next to many tapas bars, restaurants, night life, shopping areas, but rooms still (at 5th floor) quiet and peaceful. nice personel, terrace rooftop bar.. etc. rooms bit small, toilet is big - but madrid is so lively city that you dont want to spend too much time in the room - even it is nice decorated like this one.

Great Location but small rooms”

Location , Service, Bar & Restaurant

Amongst the best locations out of various Hotels have stayed in Madrid so far. If you can compromise with a bit of space issue in the room, then you need not think twice before booking this one. Excellent service & very Pleasant staff. Must check out the Penthouse lounge @ terrace. Nice restaurant and great food. Great decor.

Amazing staff but a few disappointments ”

Staff in the reception area were as good as any staff we've come across. Room with balcony facing square was very nice with stunning views of square. The reason we stayed at this hotel was because we used to live in Madrid and would often use the rooftop bar, however for the 3 nights we were there the bar was closed for functions, night one entirely, night 2 you could sit down the side of the bar (with no view of santa ana) and night 3 entirely closed until 11pm. This was extremely dissapointing. When we did eventually get to sit up there I was charged 20 euros for the same glass of champagne that had cost 10 euros 5 floors down in the cocktail bar despite being hotel guests!! Was also a little annoyed at the snotty waitress who served us that for whatever reason clearly thought she was better than anyone in there but was wearing nike trainers...didnt quite fit with a place that charges 20 euros a drink. All in all a great hotel but the above left a bit of a nasty taste in our mouths

Fantastic location full romantic potential”

View over Plaza Santa Anna

i have stayed in the me madrid several times and enjoyed the location in particular the view of the plaza santa anna. the plaza is full of life at all times which is stimulating and inspiring. the hotel itself provides a friendly, calming atmosphere but the room is a very romantic experience. it has however all technological gadgets which make working at home a pleasure. i look forward to me next stay in particular with my life companion.

Fantastic hotel”

clean, modern, location,

returned after a three day break and all i can say as this hotel is brilliant and its location is perfectly situated, easy access to all nearby attractions. very clean and modern with decent size rooms (we stayed in the aura room) you do not need breakfast as there are plenty of cafes around. check-in was smooth, get some good information off them if you need any. taxi cost us 30 eur to the hotel at around 5pm, going back i think we got ripped off, we paid nearly 45 eur. i wish we had taken the metro for 6 eur and only takes around 15mins longer. we did the sandemans free walking tour which was very well run, learnt alot about the city so well worth doing. we had dinner at ginger, which gets very busy and the food is good. service is slightly poor due to language barrier. all in all, good hotel, nice weather and a great city and would return.

Me - Is a nice boutique hotel with a super location & excellent staff. Services are really prompt , and they have a nice Penthouse lounge bar @ the terrace. Food is good too. Room sizes are really small , Toilets pretty decent though ( great shower ). Would surely recommend this one.

Great hotel. Central location. Friendly staff.”

Central location.

Room very modern with comfortable bed. The room's audio-visual system has input sockets to connect your phone/computer/etc. to view/listen to your own movies and music using the room's excellent speaker system. The hotel restaurant has delicious choice of food. The hotel bar is popular and trendy. All hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. The hotel gym is very simple - only some dumbbells and treadmills. (This class of hotel should at least have a universal weight station). The central location of the hotel is within 15 minute walk to museums to the east, cathedral and palace to the west, and central shopping and nightclubs. There are many restaurants within a few streets of the hotel.

Really trendy atmosphere, great rooftop bar

From the moment we stepped in the hotel lobby to them moment we checked out, we were treated really nicely by all the staff and they were all very helpful. The rooms aren't the biggest, but are really well set out and the toiletries are yummy! The location cannot be faulted and there are loads of bars and tapas restaurants right on Plaza Santa Ana for all budgets. Can't recommend this hotel enough!

Stylish, great location but very noisy...”

Stylish rooms (with funky purple lighting?!), central location, ok value for money

stayed in a room on the 1st floor overlooking the square, which was very stylish, clean and comfortable (even with the disco lighting!), but unfortunately the sound proofing between the square and room was pretty minimal, and the square seems to be a popular nightspot. To be fair we didn't ask to move as my girlfriend wears earplugs and i was fairly tired and/or drunk both nights, but it did wake me up on a couple of occasions!!! Apart from that, everything ok, although the breakfast in bed was extortionately priced...

Staff greets you always with a smile. Perfect location just next to almost everything. The room we were in though was too small for a couple with 2 luggage’s no where to keep but the floor, hitting legs, ankles with edges all the time. Breakfast not so, but we’re forces to have it there as most Coffeeshop outside opens not before 10 adhering to Spanish customs of eating late. Shower was good with massage fittings.
