Owned by British Peter and his Indonesian wife, Medana mainly receives sailors. The hotel lies next to the beach in a nice little Bay that offers some decent snorkelling. Rooms are clean, equipped with AC and in a very good state. The menu offers a variety of delicious and cheap meals. But the best of all are Peter and his wife who helped me with whatever I heeded and provided me with valuable tips about where to go on Lombok: From recommending a reliable agency for trekking Mt. Rinjani to hints where | would find the best snorkelling. A definite recommendation!!.

Great stay with great staff”
we stayed at medana bay marina as couples. we stayed there prior our departure from lombok to gili. we arrived at midnight, and the staff still accompanied us well and tooj us the room. the room was clean and neat, we also took a shower with hot water. when we woke up, the staff gave us welcome drink as should be served before. we also met the owner (peter and adam) who served us breakfast with the locals. overall the stay was good, especially the staffs. recommend you to stay

Beautiful room, friendly staff, good food”
Our stay was great. We were greeting by friendly staff bearing welcome drinks, even with a late arrival of 8pm. The room was beautiful and clean -- completely up to western standards. I would expect to see a room like that in America. The grounds were really nice and while there isn't really a nice beach around, there is a nice marina with some sand to walk around on. We took a taxi from the hotel to bangsal harbor for 30,000 IDR, about $2.50 USD.

Quiet and peaceful ”
This hotel is a bit out of the way but very quiet and peaceful. It’s situated on a calm bay with local and international yachts. The rooms are basic but clean with good air con. The cafe/restaurant was fantastic as was the staff. They will organise everything for you. Cars, taxi, boats.

a stepping stone to the gilis”
We stay there one night as we arrived late at praya airport and could not get to the gilis until morning. Rooms are ok for the price. Standard. Lots of ants roaming on the floor but the staff swept them away. No amenities in the bathroom. Restaurant is cheap but not good. Nice quiet garden. A few meters away from the beautiful medana bay

far from averywhere but close to bangsal harbour”
if you come with boat, maybe this place good for park your boat. no food around just hotel's food, the price is ok and taste is ok. but i dont recommend you stay for a long time. too quite. Nothing around and far from everywhere.

It is alright for our one night stay ”
We stayed in this hotel just for a night before our boat ride to Gili the next day. The hotel is basic and do not expect much. However, the room is spacious and clean. The hotel wifi was very poor. It was difficult to locate staff and there was no phone in the room. But as I mentioned, if you need a roof under your head for a night, this hotel is value for money. But I will not recommend this place for long term stay. There is nothing around the hotel to do/sight see

Nurture by nature ”

We were in our way to Gili and needed an overnight nearby. For that, it was perfect (15min to Harbor), and quite comfortable.

Dirty ”
When checked in, the floor was covered with dust, dead bugs and sand. one pillow had a rat excrement. I asked the staff to clean all that while we went out. when back, the floor was partially clean (still dirt in corners) and worse: the pillow with rat excrement still has the stain from it, meaning they didn't changed the bed sheets, just shook it. Stay away from there.

Un jolie havre de paix près de Bangsal”
Nous avions selectionner cet hotel car nous devions repartir le matin pour les Gili et revenion du treck Rinjani. Emplacement au calme au bord de la mer à 10min du port de Bangsal en taxi. Le personnel super très accueillant et prêt à tout pour satisfaire nos demandes. Petite terrasse avec vue sur mer. Très bon rapport qualité / prix.
