Generally a nice stay, with one little problem”
Room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was big and tasty. Hosts were friendly and they did try to help but couldn't do much because there were just 3 of them looking after the facility. Design of the room and bathroom was a bit inconvenient but not a big concern. Problem was warm water -- too little and too slow, so most of the time we had to take cold shower. Warm water would only come when the second person have almost finished showering.

If you are couple or family looking for a nice hostel for the first time traveller Penghu, highly recommend Meet to upu! Their staffs are nice & helpful, they even contact you proactively for the airport pick-up before you travel (even though Agoda did not specific they have this service provided). Not much privacy in room as open bathroom without seperate of toilet, shower and bed area. Taxi sometimes cheat by not using meter so you have to watch out!

Massively overprices gimmick hotel”
The disappointments with this hotel started from the moment we arrived. Judging from the extremely misleading photos I was expecting to see a small, but adequately sized swimming pool, at least big enough to swim a few lengths. Unfortunately what we found upon arrival can only be described as an empty paddling pool. Even if it did contain water you would struggle to swim in it as it measured approximately 2m x 1m and not even 2 feet deep. among the most expensive hotels in Penghu, you would expect the rooms to be fairly special. I'm afraid this just wasn't the case. From the cheesy romantic music playing in the background, to the generic European-esque decoration and random trinkets, it screamed of gimmicky love motel. Our original room was surprisingly small, with the main sleeping area only marginally wider than a king-size bed. The bathtub was located on a small balcony, totally exposed to the elements. A cute idea, but not very practical with Penghu's near-gail-force winds. We swapped to another room, which wasn't an awful lot better. The tub was inside this time which was a plus, but it there was no form of separation between the bathroom and main sleeping area - it was fully open plan. No screen or frosted glass to allow a hint of privacy for when nature calls. The other issue with this design was that the whole room smelled like a damp/musky swimming baths changing room. Not ideal when you're lying in bed. The one saving grace of this hotel was the friendly staff, but that's the absolute minimum you would expect. To sum up my experience of this hotel, it was trying very hard to be something it's not. It looks quite nice on photos, but when you actually get there you realize it's all a facade, hiding the reality it's just a mediocre B&B with a vague resemblance to Greek architecture and some cheap makeup slapped on top. Not the worst hotel I've ever stayed in, but definitely the worst value for money by quite a margin.
