GOOD TO STAY”
I was stay at second house for 3 days. It's super clean and modern. I went to a lot of homestay in Sai Gon but this place quite to stay. In the morning, you will have free tea and coffee in the kitchen in the ground floor where you can eat breakfast with another guest or staff or you can bring your tea went to highest floor, they had a small balcony with table and chair there, you can see around Sai Gon but the special is have a lot of kind of food in the kitchen, staff told me that:" when have one guest leave, they will buy some food and put in the kitchen for next guests" . I think all the street food shop nearby they know this homestay because they discount for us when i told to them that i stayed at Megustas Homestay, they will bring food to kitchen for you if you want. they also have free washing machine, you just need buy a powder. You will have 2 keys for your room and maindoor, Staff not stay there but they are always available when you need them.

I LOVE THIS PLACE”
My wife and me came very early and were tired at 4am after a long flight. The host waited for me at the homestay and let us took a shower and ate some bread in her kitchen. Although it was not time to check in but my wife felt unwell, so host slept on the sofa and let my wife and I rest in her room. We are very grateful. They have a lot of homestay around the address and will transfer the customer very quickly to the room they booked. The staff here is extremely good, the english language is very good, the staff are not very good but they are still trying to communicate with us. When we checked out, they booked a taxi and kept waving until we left, feeling like we were away from our family. Of course there are some things that are not very good but everything for me is wonderful. Thanks to Megustas Homestay for taking care of us like family.

the best homestay that i stayed ”
Me and my boyfriend got big accident in VietNam when we walked in the street by motorbike. Minzy is a wonder woman, amazing host that i met in my life. When i called her and talked about it, she came and brought us go to hospital, talked to doctor, stayed with us until next day, brought food for us and also helped us to prepare a visa because we couldn’t move. Her house also super clean,. nice design. i stayed in VietNam 1 month but i did not see any house like that. we could use free washing machine, kitchen that we really paid a lot of money for this service before. Minzy and Megustas homestay, we are really feel thankful about you guys. I’ll come back to visit you guys next time. With heart.

nice and quiet sleep over”
we stayed one night at the megustas homestay. the room was on the 4th floor, had ac, fan, TV, shower, toilet, cozy kingsize double bed, fridge outside. it was very quiet and clean - perfect for one night. The overall super friendly personal booked us a bus ride to Cambodia and gave us tips where to eat and what to do at night. All in all we had a very pleasant stay at megustas Homestay!

Megusta Homestay is a very nice place to spend a few days in HCMC. Minzy the host was very friendly and helpful with everything. She gave me a lot of good tips and made my stay in Saigon even better. The rooms are tidy and look lovely. Try the coffee booth just down in the same street. The coffee is super delicious and the lady who workes there is extremely friendly! (:

The room is very clean and can be one of the cleanest homestay I've ever stayed. Simple design, full supplies needed. Staff was helpful, i really love them. They always say hello to me any times, anywhere they met me.

Bait and switch? ”
Sorry if the title is harsh. But that's my impression. Before the trip, I've read that there were others directed to a different premise despite booking the residence stated in the listing with Agoda. Thus, before arrival, I've confirmed with the owner/operator on the address, as I was considering to switch to another place. Upon arrival, I was told the residence that I've booked has air conditioning problem. The review that I read also had air conditioning problem... Anyway, I was placed at another location, Megustas 2. This is the feeling, having been reinforced by the perception prior to arrival. Anyway, to be fair, I think Megustas 2 has cleaner environment, both indoor and outdoor. However this also depends a lot on the profile of guests staying in. Megustas has 3 units (2 storey) while Megustas 2 has more than 5 (3 or 4 storey high). But location wise, it's bad if you are expected to walk to Ben Thanh Market area. Grabcar is available at the main road, mensing you have to walk a little towards the outer part. For young kids, probably this is not very suitable. But I chose this for the kind of exposure that I like for my kid. Oh, on the friendly owner... No, I've never met her/him. Though I was given the contact number. I'll be back, if I travel solo.

poor organisation, lies and an injury of privacy”
I am so sorry for writing this bad review on Megustas homestay but I really need to publicize some shocking and unacceptable things which happened to us! Firstly, we got a different and worse room which the one we booked (we booked a balcony room for three nights but got a cellar room with no window). I texted the homestay for changing the room on the same day. They texted us back and told us that we couldn't go in the room we booked because the air-condition is broken there. A few minutes later I saw a man going in the balcony room of our house (supposedly the room we booked). I talked to him and he said that he stayed in our cellar room the last night but changed to the balcony room today! (So we suppose that the broken air- condition was just a lie to cover the bad organisation/ room overbooking of the homestay). In the end we got offered a discount for the first night and we changed the room on the next day. So far so good but our new room was in a complete different building which was farther away from the city centre and had a worse review than the house we booked!!! We still accepted this as we are budget travelers having low demands and didn't want to dramatize things. But what happened at the next day was totally shocking and left me speechless! We came back to the homestay in the evening and noticed our backpacks standing near the reception! One staff told us that they packed our things and put them out of the room as they thought we were checking out on that day (in fact we booked till the next day!) It was unbelievable! Actually they got in our room, took all our (personal) things and stuffed them in any backpack to put them down to the reception and led somebody else check in our room!!!!! My personal belongings were in the backpack of my boyfriend and the other way round!!! Fortunately, we had our valuables and passports with us... We got angry and told the receptionist that this intervention in our privacy was unacceptable! All she did was offering

Clean, quit room in an alley, comfortable bed, convienue location to the city ~ menh Tian market, Saigon plaza, Takashimaya. There is market outside the road in the morning, local food and stall, friuts, vegetable, fih. Staff are attentive and careing, and informative. Thump up and definitely stay with them, if I am back to HCM. Must book early to aviod disappointment.

Megusta’s is very hard to find at night. Very very small signs and hard to see in the dark. Actual facilities were not bad, but our room had quite a few ants. Location was alright, but even though listed as “district 1”, wasn’t really close to many district 1 things. Good sized bedroom and bathroom, and in a quiet area at night, but overall it was an alright stay. The small things like walking 4 flights of small stairs, no real window, tiny garbage cans, and dirty washing machines made it not so pleasant. The one girl working there was very nice to us, but I don’t know if I’d go back.

We are homestay and we also have rule that not allowed food into room but you bring food into so of course will have ants, we have tiny garbage in the bed room but have big one in the kitchen where you can thrown it. Everyone using free washing machine and we did not see any complain about it.

We only stay couple of hours before taking sleeper bus to Dalat, but we could really feel the warmth and kind welcome from the owners. Sohinn and Minzy are really really helpful. They helped us booking seats for the sleeper bus, even dropping us by to the nearest futabus terminal. On next day, she even texted us aksing wether we had arrived safely or not. The hotel overall is nice. It got everything we need, also hairdryer! Thank you Minzy and Sohinn for you great hospitality! :)

The manager was incredibly sweet and enthusiastic to help us with everything as soon as we arrived. She gave us a free upgrade to a larger room at their second location which had tons of great street food options outside. She truly made us feel completely welcomed and at home. This may have been the best place we've stayed during our entire 2 months in SEA. Would highly recommend to anyone.

Perfect spot to stay at when you are in Saigon”
The rooms are spacious, clean and you have your own private bathroom, staff are friendly and very helpful and it’s honestly the best place to stay at. It makes one feel at home, one can also relax and get a good nights rest especially when you are a traveller and bonus is there are so many amenities around that you don’t need to take a grab/taxi to go around but walk instead to see how beautiful the place is and explore Saigon.
