Great location, breakfast & staff”
Walking distance to night market, tmeple and other sightseeing point. i love their breakfast, difference style everyday, and the area for brekafast can see the river. Staff was super friendly, espeically the kids! i love this hotel very much! must stay in this hotel when i go to Luang Prabang again!!!!
good location, but small room”
I would say its not bad for a budget stay in the peak season. But the wifi didn't work all night when we stayed. Also, the room is pretty small. You can barely move. The location is good. Nice river view and quiet, close to everything.
Great and lovely hotel ”
Wonderful experience, great advise from the staff, warm courteous service. 24 hours free tea coffee and bananas. The manager is very helpful and kind. The hotel is close to everything, no need for public transport. Best value for Laung Prabang.
Like and like about this hotel. Just some compaint a bit about the booking. I booked 2 twin rooms by Agoda with special discount price. When I checked in, the manager told me that sorry, just had 1 twin and 1 double. He said, I booked from Agoda so that I got very cheap price. Is there the reason he just gave me the double room? Because it's downstair and smaller than twin room. But one of my colleague cancelled his trip, so I just stayed alone and I accepted it. Just wonder why???
Great Location & Friendly Staff”
We stayed in ths hotel for 3 nights. Its a very good location, 1 minute walk to morning market and 3 minutes walk to nite market. The staff very friendly and the rooms was clean. The view is facing Mekong River so relaxing. Definitely I'll recommend this hotel to my friends.
Good location, near the Mekhong River”
The location of the hotel is good, just a short walk to the morning Market, museum, night market, or even a popular coffee shop. The opposite side of the hotel is Mekong river so that you will have a good view in front of the hotel. I stayed there for 2 night and I had have breakfast as a ABM on the first day and experience a local breakfast for another day. However, the bad thing in this hotel for me is that they have very poor WIFI signal.
fantastic location and kind service ”
Loved the stay because it's just really a short walk to the best attractions like the Mount Phousi and night market. After you get there, it's not hard to navigate to Wat Xieng Thong. The morning market is just a stone throw away too. Really a gem.
A wonderful location and above standard Service”
This is good value. The lads who manage the Hotel for their Uncle are so friendly and helpful. The rooms were fine for what we paid. Like a lot of Asian hotels and many higher priced that the Mekong Holiday Villa you can think there is no hot water but you just need to let it run for a while and all is good. Breakfast was also fine, not 5 star but what you would expect and the fruit was very fresh. The restaurant across the road was a great spot to sit and have a quiet drink or two looking out over the Mekong River. The night and day Markets were 3 minute walks away All in all we would be happy to return to this hotel.
Good location, Best staffs”
Very close to riverside, pushi mountain and the night market. Nice restaurants are near and hot shower is good enough. Breakfast is simple but good and staffs are so kind & friendly, they all speak fluent English. Wanna visit again!
Mekong Holiday Villa by Xandria is a perfect little guest house with 10 rooms right on the Mekong River. Location is key with this Guest House. The river provides a slightly cooler breeze than the rest of town (such as in the bar area), and you are still very close to all attractions. In reality, you can walk to just about anywhere in town. The staff is very friendly and attentive and will help in any way they can. Dan, the hotel owner/manager is great to talk to and deal with. He definitely enhanced our experience. Having looked at MANY guest house rooms in person (there are literally hundreds in town), Mekong Holiday Villa, for the price paid is definitely one of the best budget accommodations available.
Nice, Comfortable, and Definitely Will Return”
I enjoyed my stay very much. Arrived late from Vientiane and the hotel staff was already expecting me and got all the documents ready. So checking in was a breeze. The staff were very helpful, giving us some suggestions of where to go and what to see, even went the extra mile to help us secure transportation for our excursions. The rooms were clean and very comfortable. It's got a very cozy feeling as it's mainly wooden walls and flooring. Only thing, one has to be mindful of not walking with your shoes on whilst on the 2nd floor and be considerate about the noise level as sound travels through the wooden walls and flooring.
A very pleasant stay in Mekong Holiday Villa. ”
Our 3 night stay at the river side and centrally located Mekong Holiday Villa by Xandria hotel, was very pleasant. The staff were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the breakfast very much. Tea and coffee, and bananas too, were available outside our room around the clock for the hotel guests. Places of interest, including the day and night markets, the palace museum and temples are all within short walking distance from the hotel. For the room charges we paid, it was a very good deal.
It's very convenience location”
Firstly, I booked for 2 nights in July 2013 and will consider for another 2 nights if the hotel is good. I think the location is very convenience for shopping, eating, and sightseeing. Finally, I stayed for 4 nights. Reception staff - Mike and other staff is very nice and friendly. Wifi - is quite slow and not stable in the room, we have to go at reception to search for wifi and have to sit there to use wifi. One of hotel computer is out of order so only 1 computer available for guest. Room - bed, pillow is good for sleep, toliet is not clean enough, especially, towel is still dirty so we use our own. Some ants in the room. I stay on 1st floor and hear a walking noise from guest on 2nd wooden floor. It would be great if hotel will use the space at riverfront by putting tables and chairs for guest to sit and relax. Overall is the good experience in LPB.
Good location for value”
Enjoyed the hotel. Nice spacious room on the 2nd floor with a good size bathroom. Located on the river front and two blocks away from a variety of sites and restaurants. Would definitely stay again.
My room was on the second floor which have wooden floor paneling so I was required to remove my shoe. Coffee and tea was available on the first floor which was a bit inconvenient. Reception was manned only till 10pm. After that the entrance to the hotel will be closed. If you intend to stay out beyond that time you would have to ring for the night caretaker.
It was a lovely experience!”
The hotel has a touch of class although it has just 10 rooms. The use of wood is clever and lends a wonderful ambiance to the place. There is something old about it, possibly the wooden panelling... the ceiling and floors make it quite remarkable.
worth it's price”
I stayed there for 2 nights, the room was actually big enough for a solo traveller. The interiors were designed in Old French style giving you this feeling that you have been transported in an old era.
All in all it was pleasant. My only complaint is that I hang the "Please make up room" sign outside my door but unfortunately, my room was not made up by any of the staff for the entire time I stayed there.
Nice and Quiet”
This hotel is in the center of Luang Prabang in front of the Mekong river. The Nightmarket is direct on the parallel street to this hotel - it takes 2 minutes to go there. I would totally recommend this hotel.
Fantastic Staff VERY nice and helpful people”
lovely! I as sick for my stay, and the staff was fantastic! They really took care of me and made my stay very comfortable. I would stay here again for sure! I can't say enough about how wonderful they were!
