Great location, new rooms are good.
Been a while since we last stayed at the Melasti. There were some problems with the air-con unit in our room and they did not fix it after a couple of attempts so we moved to one of the new Superior room. These were great , although slightly smaller than our original room it had enough for our needs. They provided a basket of fruit for us. Staff as usual were good but the breakfast still lets this place down.

Great stay
Was a bit concerned about staying at the Melasti after seeing mixed reviews. But I found this resort very nice. Great pools, big room, very clean but a little old, grey towels but clean. That is the only negative, great for families, couples or singles. Nice and quiet at night. Great staff, very helpful, good wi fi Deb D.

Would highly recommend. Staff were so friendly. Best location. Had an amazing stay there.
Room was very good. Grounds kept very tidy. The pool was great but could do with a few more sun beds and umbrellas put around it. But a very enjoyable stay.

Easy going , reliable .
This place will always take you with open arms. You can always trust Melasti. It's one of those places you can fall back on when you don't know where to stay.. Wonderful friendly staff. Sure parts of the hotel has aged over time, but it's always clean and the beds are very comfortable. Breakfast is all you need with a fair selection. If you want strong tea bring your own tea bags to breakfast as its a little weak. The pool on beach side is a little old but is very clean, my only real qualm was the lack of umbrellas around the pool and the. Poolside beds, which really need to be updated, as they have seen better days. Deluxe rooms are very big with a balcony, I'd probably get the downstairs rooms next time as they open out by the other big pool. Even better are the deluxe rooms facing the 3rd small pool, lovely and quiet little area. We originally booked a standard room but upgraded to deluxe as standard had no balcony and was a lot smaller. Superior rooms are all new and face the beach side pool, they looked very nice, but perhaps a lot noisier. I definitely would come again if I was staying in Legian.

Overall Fantastic Place
After feeling a little reserved about staying here after reading other peoples reviews we were very happy with this place. Yes breakfast is average but its satisfactory. The resort needs a little bit of a face lift but again for the price we paid cant really complain. The kids loved it and the beach is only a short stroll away as are other bars etc. Would stay there again.

Stay Elsewhere
Extremely outdated rooms with a musky smell to accompany them. The aircon was broken in our first room, once moved and re settled, the batteries inside the in-room safe fell out with our possessions locked inside. Renovation works were being carried out daily right next to the swimming pool, with the constant sound of power tools to accompany the poolside atmosphere! It's a shame this is not noted upon booking, as I'm sure many would reconsider booking knowing renovations were taking place during their stay!!!! For the price it's defiantly Not worth staying here, you can stay close enough for half the price in a newly furnished room/hotel, even less if you're wanting a balcony off of the room. We considered losing out on the money and moving across the road for the 2nights booked, in hindsight it would have been money well spent and a much more enjoyable time!
