We were so happy with our room. It was very spacious. Good bed and have everything we need from complete set of toiletries, safe, phone, coffee/tea maker, tv, ref, hair dryer etc. What we really liked was the big balcony in our room overlooking the pool. enjoyed their 3 pools although all were too deep for me. direct access to the beach is another plus factor of this hotel. nice breakfast included. the people working in the hotel were all nice and smiling.
Great location ”
Location is great but it is very very tired. If I'd be taken in from the beach side I would have told the taxi to keep going. Breakfast ok. I wouldn't stay there again unless it is renovated but I guess you get what you pay for.
Rooms are very large with old style Balinese furniture. ”
Wi fi needs to be stronger and television reception is poor.
Great value for money ”
It you want budget stay with great location you can’t go past the Melasti. It has three pools great staff the best beach bars right out the front and spacious rooms. Walking distance to garlic lane double 6 and Bintang supermarket great places to eat all nearby you can’t go wrong.
The Melasti must be one of, or the best value hotel in Bali . The rooms are spacious , well set out and clean. The area is lovely, bars , spars , shops, and resteraunts right at your back door. The beach and beach bars are right at your front door, or vice versa..?? The beach and beach bars are outside the lovely hotels resteraunt. the breakfast and all food is first class. No extra to get room service.. The staff are all happy and helpful, at all times of day or night. We have had numerous Bali holidays, and always finish it at the Melasti. Our home from home
Great location, close to the beach and great pool.”
This hotel was recommended to us for our first trip to Bali. Its in a great location, right across the road from the beach and the gardens are lovely and are well looked after every day. The pool is cleaned every day and I couldn't fault it, there is also 2 other pools and 2 of the pools have a toddler section. Sun is always on the pool right till the end of the day. The hotel is a bit dated, we stayed in the newer rooms with a balcony that overlooked the large pool with the swimup bar. The rooms are a great size in the superior rooms, bed quite comfortable, plenty of tea & coffee left each day when cleaning and replacement of bottled water each day. Towels replaced clean each day but a little on the grey side of their colour. Close to walk to Seminyak and down to the heart of Legian, staff very friendly and room attendants very helpful. Recommend eating a meal at Wayans & friends restaurant nearby, we did not have breakfast at the Melasti, found cheaper elsewhere.
Great location ”
We stayed at this hotel 7 years before so we gave it another go because location is great .But we found out the hotel has been run down , breakfast was very disappointment nothing like it was , we ate out every morning so not the best it cost extra $300 + .to do that .The rooms and staff are good just the place is run down . We are going back to Bali in August 2019 and this is one hotel we are not staying at again
Good value resort in a great location. Rooms are basic but clean and large, beds are a little on the hard side, 3 pools, 2 with swim up bars with reasonable drink prices. Friendly staff. Would stay again.
Ok, accommodation is generally good, usual issue issue in Bali were the bathtub / shower waste has no S-trap installed when when it was built so a hideous smell permeates from the waste into the bathroom then the room, you come across this problem in much of the accommodation around Bali and I now believe it should be mention in reviews every time you encounter it, simplest solution it to place a wet towel over the waste hole while not being used, other than that the accommodation is generally good however its a bit boganville if you know what I mean.
Rooms are roomy but are very tired and the old style large rooms. Shower had hand held nozzle which needed holding when using. Breakfast could have been more interesting but it was ok. Location was absolutely incredible especially for the price. Would recommend to my friends as long as room expectations wasn’t huge. Very enjoyable visit though
Great Value for Money”
The Melasti may not be new and shiny but was excellent value. We paid $50 per night with breakfast. The room was a good size, very clean and had everything we needed a fridge, a safe, balcony, umbrella. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The breakfast would be the only thing that could have been better but it was still ok.
Melasti is an “old Bali” style hotel in a perfect location, surrounded by shops, restaurants and right on Legian Beach. The staff do their best to accommodate room requests prior to check in. I’ve stayed in both Deluxe and Suite rooms and they are spacious and clean. Cleaning, restaurant, bar, reception and security staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfasts and restaurant meals are delicious and affordable. The gardens and 3 pools are clean and maintained constantly. On the downside, the shower heads in the rooms I’ve stayed in need work and a couple of the room’s air conditioners weren’t working. On the first visit this problem was fixed promptly, unfortunately this time we had to remind staff 3 times that it wasn’t working- we checked out before seeing if it was fixed. If a value for money holiday is what you are looking for you can’t go past the Melasti and it’s PERFECT location. My family and I will definitely be back for more visits.
Great resort in fantastic location”
Recently stayed here for a girls week away and absolutely loved it. Great location and value for money, rooms were clean and spacious and the staff were very friendly. There could be a few improvements, breakfast was a bit lacklustre, some more variety would be great. My wifi didn't work for a couple of days which made keeping in touch with home a bit annoying. The beds were quite hard as well, but they might suit others. On the whole we had a fantastic stay and I would recommend it to family and friends and I will definitely be back with my family in the future.
another happy stay”
location is great.. 3 star in a 5 star location.. great room, after 2 nights spent in a twin bedroom, we were moved to the biggest room (renovated superior room) on the second floor over looking the pool.. Breakfast was a little disappointing this stay.. don't mind a basic breaky, but this time, hubby was complaining by day 5.. bar prices were good too.. I hinted to the pool bar staff, that they should introduce some games by the pool for entertainment throughout the day.. eg Bingo for bintangs and cocktails :)
Stayed here for the 3rd time in 4 years and have found that each time things just arn't getting better. Renovated some rooms a while ago but not sure if they are renovating all of them or not. Arrived to the wrong configuration of beds and when I asked to me moved they told me to try tomorrow. We all know what that means. The room was also dark and dreary next to the main road. Paid to get moved to the room right in the corner with no window or balcony. Had to share our tiny outdoor area with another room. Luckily they didn't sit outside. Room was cleaned very well. Reception staff and pool bar staff nonchalant. Only got a pool lounge by main pool 1 day out of 6 I was there. Way in short supply. Breakfast is getting more basic each meal and toaster really needs an upgrade. And yes I know about Bali toasters. I ike the location near the beach and if you get a good price it's worth staying but when you have to pay more to get a decent room it puts it out of the value for money catagory.
Amazing pools both with swim up bars.”
The location is unfaultable. Loads of shopping and restaurants right on doorstep. Breakfast is good. Food and drinks at the pool bars are cheap and delicious. Love this place. Great for kids and adults.
Location was fantastic right across from the beach ,the shops, restaurants, massages, money exchange all out the front, staff were very friendly, very relaxing holiday kids had a ball. Great value for money
Value for money”
My husband and I have been to the Melasti numerous times. The Melasti is always very clean. The rooms are large and lovely. There are three lovely pools. Two have swim up bars. The breakfast is always very nice and has a varied menu. The beach is across the back of the hotel. There are some great bars out there.. To the front of the hotel is the street, it has great resteraunts. The shows have anything that you could need... Other hotels of the same ilk are very much more expensive.. The staff could not be nicer.. It is our secon home...
Well located ”
On beach frontage. I was in the older section at front overlooking street which is of a lesser standard than the new section but still ok for me. Didn’t use breakfast restaurant as you can get breakfast outside for $6 (AU) at numerous places. There were a couple of minor maintenance issues upon arrival but the cleaning staff had them attended to first thing the next day. 3 pools. Main pool has music all day so I spent my days at the central pool where it’s peaceful and shade available. Good location, close to 7-11, restaurants, massage, shops. I stayed 7 nights here and then 6 nights at Champlung Mas Hotel. Good value for money ($31 AU) per night - a similar hotel in AUS would be $220 - $250 pn, so no complaints from me
Defineatly and seriously 2 srar”
If anything is beckon it stays that way everything has a problem and it’s endless not a place for middle class Purée Raja next door is in a different class Worth $30 per night flys greasey pools etc brochure pictures not a true picture I am pretty pissed off
