Great downtown hotel with some caveats”
The hotel is pleasant and luxurious and within walking distance of the shopping / dining center, including the cathedral. The major Granada attractions (Albayzin and Alhambra) are a bit further but still easily walked to within 30 min or so. There are plenty of cabs and public transportation near the hotel. If you are driving, the hotel is somewhat difficult to access and parking is fairly far away. (There is a garage next to the hotel but it seems to always be full.) The floors are very thin and we could easily hear the other guests above our room talk. The doors are also thin and there is noise from the corridors that will wake you up if you are a light sleeper.
As mentioned above, the hotel locations was very good for the tourists , it is in the hart of the granada city center, shopings abd restaurants are very close to the hotel, the hotel is 10 min with the taxi to alhambra and just 20 min to granada airport.
Very good hotel, rooms were good size, heater was ”
Hotel was very good, excellent location right in the centre of Granada. Didnt use car for anything in my stay. Nearby many bars and restarants to eat and drink even nightclubs. Also nearby to get on a bus to take you around Granada...worth it. Bought breakfast at the hotel, this was a bad mistake very expensive compared what I paid to stay per night. Do it before hand or have breakfast outside in the many places you will see near hotel. All in all if I go to Granada again would stay again in same hotel.
Central hotel with exceptional service by staff”
We enjoyed a few days at this lovely four star centrally located hotel. The bus stop to Alhambra is just around the corner for your early ride up to the castle. The hotel is central to the Granada Cathedral and a variety of shops, bars, cafes and supermarket. The staff are extremely helpful but their English is a little limited. There is a restaurant within the hotel which serves drinks and 3 hot meals a day. There is an internet service for hotel guests in the lobby as well as spacious relaxation areas with quality tables and chairs for travellers' use.The classical decor style in the bedrooms suited us in addition to the decent sized bathroom. Good value for money.
Good breakfast, a traditional four stars hotel”
They allowed us early check in at 9 a.m. as we arrvied Granada at the morning. The room and the hotel lobby was a bit old but everything keep well. But the air-con was seems not worked so that we had to open the window whole night. My husband lost his watch at the hotel lobby and one staff was pick it and hold in the reception for our collection.
Camp Granada ”
Granada is one of the better cities to stay. Our stay co-incided with the Corpus Christi festival so there were daily activities in the plazas. Flamenco dresses everwhere. Easy city to walk from the hotel. Restaurants surround the hotel.
We arrived at Granada by night train around 9 in tne morning. We went to the hotel to ask keeping our luggages. We could unexpectedly check in though it was quite early. They are very helpful. The hotel is set in the centre of the city and could anywhere we want from the bus depot near by.
It deserves 4 stars”
we really loved melia granada because of its good location, excellent service and nice facility. breakfast is great and room is big enough and really clean. staffs there are very kind too. and restaurant inside and another one across the street(named la castellana) are really good!
Great locale and decent hotel”
Great locale to access major point of Granada. Nice staffs and breakfast but a bit old condition of the hotel espeically very thin wall that unblock the noise from next rooms.
The Melia Granada Hotel Granada, Excellent Hotel ”
Central location. Very good and helpful staff. We enjoy really our stay in melia hotel and in the wonderful granada. Thank you Agoda..it's a wonderful choice we come back again.
The Melia hotel was in a great location in Granada. You can walk to the Allumbra in ~20 mins (though a bus can take you there in 5 mins for ~1 euro), and the centre of town with many tapas bars are within 5 minutes walk. The rooms were fine, reception spoke english well. The only issue was that we could hear the other rooms bathroom when we were in our bathroom.
I reaklly recomnd any one to stau=y in this hotel, it is located in the city center, the hotel is very clean and it worth the value of what you pay.
The location is close in mid downtown, easy to access to Alhambura. There are a lot of restaurants and bar behind the restaurants and most of restaurants open untill mid night and price is resonable. The bar in the hotel is very confortable and drink price range was resonable. The hotel staff are very friendly, however, it is not easy to communicate without English. thanks.
Great hotel, excellent position”
the hotel is in the city center and all interesting spots are in walking distance. close to airport. nice restaurants around it (cunino, for sea food!)
Very nice hotel with friendly staff, excellent breakfast and a very nice bar. Only negative point was that there was no tea/coffee facilities in the room. After a long day's travel and 1st thing in the morning the ability to make a tea/coffee would be really welcome.
Great Location and Big Rooms”
We arrived very early in the morning and unable to check in until 1230pm, so we went for breakfast outside of the hotel. We found that the hotel location was near to Alhambra and the shopping belts. Room was huge and clean with nice bathroom, good bedding and soft pillows. It was a very nice experience.
The best in Granada.
GRANADA HOTEL MELIA”
The hotel was very centrally situated, the reception desk was very helpful. The car parking was essential and the breakfast has a great variety of food both hot and cold.the rooms were fine but i thought that could do with an upgrading.i felt the lack of wi-fi was a minus in terms of a modern hotel.
Great location with classic room”
Located one street off the main street to provide quietness and many good restaurants nearby. Around 7 min's walk to the Cathedral and can catch the bus there to La Alhambra. Spacious room with classic design. We took a high-floor room and could see the La Alhambra from the window. Free wifi at the lobby area.
