Best hotel in madrid ”
check in hotel and got upgrade to suite. my baggages were short shipped by Iberia airline, hotel staffs are really patient to check my baggages and give their best to assist us. they know we feel hunger and tired which they deliver some fruits to our rooms for us . we strongly agreed that they have good customer services. room is nice and clean, the mini bar is so nice .... will come again ...hala madrid

No good at all”
* Why I am paying 200 Euro per night only to be told I reserved a premium room but it is only restricted to 2nd floor room where it is noisy, bad smell and dark.

Premium room means you got shuffle to 2nd floor, watch out”
We booked the room two times because in between time we would have to leave the luggage at the hotel so we can travel lightly somewhere. However, in both times, we were told that Premium room means we are restricted to second floor only. The cost of staying at higher floor is 65 Euro extra. They throw a breakfast in and let you drink alcohol from 2pm with no limit. Well, my main purpose of the trip is sightseeing, not getting drunk. Further, it could be Agoda or Melia Hotel that have not stated it clearly that Premium room is only restricted to second floor's room. It is noisy and dark. When we moved in the first day, it was even worse, that we had construction pounding sound upstairs for two hours. Imagine you would like to rest after a long haul airplane flight. Then we told the reception we would like to change the room. They did change our room, but the new room's television was not working. They had to get a technician coming to fix it. After all these fuzz, we lost almost 3 hours. They sent some fruits to apologize for it in the late afternoon, which did not mean much to me. I would like to have a good rest and started my touring. I take this as a pure accident and let it go. However, the treatment of restricting to only second floor's room was annoying. If agoda website had stated this, I most likely would have chosen another hotel for the same money. Location is 10 Euro charges by taxi to Sol, Madrid true city centre. By walking, it takes half an hour there. It is quite inconvenient. Well, after all, we were also misled by the receptions that we can get train ticket to Toledo in the hotel in the day prior departures. But when I asked them at the date we wanted to go at the date, they told us they mean we can go to a tour trip costing about 60 Euro. We ended up going to the train station ourselves, fast train ticket only cost about 8 Euro person.........

Overrated ”
Breakfast choices in dining room, cleanliness, no third item
Was ok. However no coffee machine in room and a cup of tea through room service, I was told, would be 8 Euro! Also the elevators were very slow with one of the three elevators non operational. The staff were helpful in getting online tickets for the Prado museum.
