Briefly put, this is a wonderful place. We were delighted from the minute we arrived to the moment we left. Why? In a nutshell...attention to detail, attention to our needs, friendly and helpful staff, quick response to questions, great food (seriously, would have loved to have met the chef(s)), great ambiance, staff attitudes - everyone seemed as if they really liked working there and really were glad we were with them, excellent room service, extras supplied in case we needed them were more than I've seen in other places, extra touches (from the welcome tea and spring rolls when we arrived to the two wrapped with a bow chocolate brownie bites in a woven basket we found sitting on our bed on the last evening), etc. Seriously, the Menjangan was everything we'd hoped fore. We wanted a place for a much needed rest with some interesting things to do as well. We wanted to go snorkeling. We ended up with a massage, snorkeling and the sunset horseback riding. Loved our guide for snorkeling - he made sure we saw the moray eel peeking out of the coral and the sea turtle swimming slowly through the water and the blue star fish clinging to the side of the crevice we swam over. The horseback riding got us into the forest which we wanted to do and gave us a view of the sunset from a part of the beach we wouldn't have otherwise had access to. The Balinese massage was one of the best we've had. So, seriously, would go back again and would recommend this to friends. Thank you to the Menjangan staff for making this a very special break for us.
