The hotel is conveniently located across from the train station. Many buses stop nearby. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast has many choices, and is delicious. There is a very nice bar and a lovely garden outside, and ganes and activities for children.

We stayed here comfortably for two nights. They were accommodating about our early check in and they helped store our luggage easily. Overall, the rooms were dark but we had everything we needed.

This is a really well run hotel, with excellent staff who are helpful, friendly and professional. it’s in a great location and well deserving of its four star rating. It has a magnificent garden/ park at the back, a small disappointment for us was that the bar was not serving during our visit. I would strongly recommend this hotel

Everything was pleasing”
I walked out of the train station and was able to see the name of the hotel. Walk to the delightful reception staff, to a clean, comfortable and accommodating room. Hotel is located within the walking distance of the park, the historic center and food/shopping areas. Thank you.

Great location but dated hotel. AC did not work. Room is small and dark. Renovations ASAP. Regret not doing my research before booking a non refundable.

Good position in front of the station”
The hotel is in a good position, right in front of train station and ten minutes walking from main attractions. A bit disappointed to see a young lady at the reception on the first night just there to bite her nails apparently, when there were 3 people, including me, waiting for check in/enquires and her colleague was clearly busy with other guests.

Located in front of the train station, but bathromms are outdated”
I enjoyed the kindness of the check in guys, having a metal key in my hands, but when I got to my room I felt in an old space. The bathroom was especially old. Sink and bathtube had holes repaired and it was difficult to move inside to get a shower

Hotel needs a refresh”
Just stayed for 1 night. On hindsight I would have booked nearby hotels instead. Location is very good but the hotel just needs a refresh. Had to change rooms due to water leakage.

Average experience!”
We stayed at Mercure hotel for 3 nights. Location was good, specially if you have an early train to catch (opposite the train station!). Breakfast was decent. But very basic room. There was a kettle in the room, with no tea/coffee sachets, which was odd. no cups either! Air-con/fridge were switched off centrally. Didn't get that! Staff were ok, nothing to write about. Overall, a very average experience. There are better hotels in that area!

Not enjoyable”
Very dated hotel, noisy rooms, coffee & tea facilities not replenished (2 coffee sachets for 3days!) A perfect location for the central train station, but main city area is a taxi ride!! ‘Guests’ in adjacent rooms being very rowdy until 0400am. In summary, terrible stay, with poor amenities and extremely dated dirty gloomy decor.

I would highly recommend Mercure Bologna Centro Hotel for its good and friendly service staff, its excellent location,and lovely spacious room with large bathroom. As well as as the late night eateries right next to the hotel if your checking before midnight. We were pleasantly surprise at the quality standard of Mercure Bologna Centro Hotel and greatly enjoyed our 4D/3N stay there.

Good value for money”
We had a positive experience at Mercure in Bologna. Our accommodation was satisfactory, we got a room with the garden view, far away from the noisy railway station road. The room was big and clean. Garage was provided at market price (20 euros per night). In the area we found many nice restaurants open offering good food at reasonable price. The hotel is at a stone throw from the main historical attractions.

This Mercure Hotel is across the street from Bologna central train station, so access is very convenient. All major attractions are within walking distance. Our standard room was spacious and comfortable. We appreciated the complimentary coffee and tea as well as the drinking water. The room had a flat-screen TV with multiple international channels. The breakfast buffet was very adequate. We also enjoyed the bar near Reception. All staff members were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay very much and will consider this property again for any possible future trips to Bologna!
