    Great Stay!”
Location is perfect. In between Ginza High street and Tsukiji Market. The decor of the room is very cozy and designed to a fine taste. Loving the interior very much. We booked the suite since we travel with a kid. It was worth it. Tokyo metro station is very near. Lawson is walking distance and mcD is just below the hotel!

    Great Hotel Experience in Tokyo”
    Location, Comfort, and Hospitality
The stay is beyond my expectation in a good way. First time going to Tokyo, this hotel is truly showing the eastern warmness and hospitality. From the welcoming English speaking reception, complimentary breakfast, and the overall experience staying there. The location of the hotel is very good, metro train is accessible from the basement of the hotel (it's not JR though so you'll need to pay additionally to get you to JR lines, i.e Tokyo Station. For family with children or elderly I would suggest to take Taxi from Hotel to Tokyo Station, it will cost around 1000 Yen but worth the time and effort - stair access unfortunately not stroller friendly) - access to Disneyland from this station is very easy, around the hotel you can go in walking distance area of Ginza for shopping or meals. I firstly thought the whole service and hospitality are the standard of Hotel in Japan until I went to other two hotels with the same rating and star on two other cities which totally different. This will definitely my Go To Hotel again if my family and I are back to Tokyo.

We always stay here. The breakfast is good quality. The room is clean in a typical Japanese hotel size. Staffs are always helpful 24/7. Location is the best. Restaurants like Joe Shanghai is just a block away. A 10 min walk will bring you to Kani Doraku (Crab restaurant). There's also a very old (more than 100 yrs) tempura/tendon restaurant. You can spend the whole day shopping in the Ginza areas. (the hotel is right behind Matsuya Ginza).

Hotel is small, so are the rooms, but quite ok if you're familiar with Tokyo hotels. Just enough room to walk around the bed. All amenities are well provided and rooms are clean. The area is very central to Ginza and easily accessible either by subway or taxi. Plenty of places to walk around and see, ie....shops. It is a nice hotel, good for business trips.

The hotel is conveniently located in the middle of Ginza with its extensive range of shops and restaurants within easy reach. Staff generally helpful and speak good English. But hotel lacks a proper frontage; just an obscure entrance in a narrow street where you enter thru a small lift lobby that’s obstructed by linen carts when you return at night. Not very nice!

    Acceptable”
Written in hotel policy that children stay for free when use existing bedding. However When we checked in we are forced to pay for extra bed and were given no choice. This is first disappointment. Second day amenities were not refilled and WiFi not working. Third day mineral water, tea and coffee not refilled. Bath towel also not topped up. Bad experience and we paid almost 540 sgd dollar a night. Frankly, We will never come back this hotel
    Reviewed November 26, 2018
Dear Chiang, Thank you again for staying at Mercure Tokyo Ginza sharing your review one more time. Again, we didn't force you to pay the extra. It was because your family had number of children over the free child stay limit. And again, we couldn't inform you of it in advance, because you booked only for 2 adults with no children. We are truly sorry about the amenities. We will try harder not to repeat those errors. Kind Regards, Mercure Tokyo Ginza Team

the hotel was expensive but near to everywhere”
the hotel was in a good location near to subway, shopping, etc walking distance to ginza shopping area, off course its more expensive coz the area and the hotel standart are international size, so the room was spacious, amenity was exellent, breakfast also good the only little minus was there's no halal food for breakfast, hopefully someday the hotel will provide halal food. overall the hotel location was the most streght! oh and 1 more, when i book this hotel at agoda, i book for double room but only fill for 1 person, instead of 2 person, so when i arrived at the hotel, i must pay for the second person, eventhough my room capacity was clear the room capacity for 2 person, but coz i only fill 1 person when i booked the hotel, i must pay 2000yen/day for the other person (without breakfast) i don't like this! and there's also city tax when i checked out... also not good.

i can tell this hotel, looks like a bussiness hotel, i feel like i'm the only guest who's coming for holiday, everyone was very well dressed with suits hahaha. anyway, the hotel was in the heart of ginza, near to the shopping centre just go to B1 fl then exit no 8 voila u already in the shopping area. to shinjuku and shibuya was also easy, u can go to b1 fl then take the subway. from tokyo station u can just go by taxi only takes 800 yen (usd.8) to this hotel. its better by taxi coz ur bringing your luggage with u. lawson was very near (there's 2 lawson) you can buy delicious bread in lawson or onigiri, there's also MCD very very close.

No cancelling condition is big disadvantage ”
    Location, availability and room space
No big problem happen during my stay. I felt breakfast dining at peak hour lacks relaxing atmosphere. Too small dining for total room capacity although available booking type was only w/breakfast. Better always available to book room without breakfast through Agoda. Other than such small issue my stay at this hotel total 3 nights was comfortable for me. This time I booked this hotel for the first time as there were no other available hotel. My trip to Japan is always mixed with business and home leave so trip itinerary won't fix until just before leaving. I understand the reason why rooms were available was the booking condition. I had to book through Agoda with no cancel rule. It was lucky for me as I could find hotel at Ginza area but due to no cancel rule hotel booking dictated my trip schedule which is always changing even during the trip. I agree that staying the hotel no problem and comfortable but this hotel will be my last choice because of no cancel rule.
