Staff is not professional
They asked me to pay for breakfast but it has indeed already included in the room price I booked via agoda. When I checked out, they said I have taken away 1 extra bottle of water and need to pay for it. I insisted that I didn't do it and they finally let go. Furthermore, single occupancy this time but being charged for 2 peoples of city tax per day wrongly. Will never stay in this hotel again.

the view is almost too perfect
ocean view, location and convenience
public car park is very close, and it has a stair way to enter to the hotel, but make sure you drop off the baggage first, then go around to park your car, otherwise you wouldn't wanted to carry your baggage for 3 stairways, the price is upper-mid tiers, if you are not going to choose the ocean view from this hotel, it is NOT needed to choose this hotel, the ONLY reason is the ocean view, right on the Prom. des Anglais (main street on the beach). everything is pretty standard for a hotel, since it is mercure branded, nothing unexpected.

Beautiful scenic view just outside of the hotel
The location was superb , restaurants, shops and also places of interest is all just a stone throw away
We love our stay at Mercure Nice Promenade Des Aglais Hotel. And we just love Nice, small little town peppered with restaurant everywhere . Breath taking views. And the hotel is just so accessible to everything . The breakfast is not bad too.

Waited 20min to get checked in
Location, breakfast buffet and location...
When we arrived at 9PM after driving from Montpellier we were quite tired and hungry and ready to go get some dinner. We parked at the car park we had been recommended by the hotel and had to carry our luggage 4 floors up - there were no elevators. Then we waited over 20min to get checked in because there was only one person working at reception and she was busy with a hotel guest who were complaining about her car rental... When the receptionist was finally ready to look after us, she was rather grumpy. When staying at a four star hotel, you don't expect paper cups for your morning coffee and you'd hope to find something in the minibar. Unfortunately I had to drink my coffee out of paper every morning. The room itself did definitely not feel like a four star hotel, neither did the rest of the hotel. We definitely feel like it's overrated and don't feel like it was value for money. The only thing really positive was the breakfast buffet that was both reasonable and delicious. The location was good, but I am sure many of the similar priced hotels along the same strip would be better value for money.
