Not as good as a few years ago”
This is still a good hotel and the location is excellent. Really within walking distance of wherever you might want to go in the area from Central Festival down to Walking Street. It has been a couple of years since I have stayed at the Mercure Pattaya, but they redecorated the hotel in a modern motif, and it is "cold". No warmth to the lobby and public areas at all. They also discontinued the shuttle service that used to run from the hotel down to Pattaya Road 2. I would stay here again, because the price was right and the location is excellent, but it is not nearly as comfortable a hotel as it used to be.
Very good offer”
It was a pleasure for me to stay 17 days at Mercure Hotel, Pattaya. The rooms was nice and clean, the staff was very friendly, the pool area was also very clean and the restaurants offered delicious food to reasonable prices. The location of the hotel was also perfect with only a few minutes walking distance from the beach and it was very quiet during the nights. The only negative thing to say about Mercure Hotel must be the small bathrooms. It was the smallest bathroom I ever seen in a hotel during 30 years of travelling. But all in all, a very good hotel and a very good value for the money.
Good Value For Money”
Very good hotel at a very reasonable price. The hotel location is very good; behind Pattaya Second Road in a very quiet and peaceful setting. Pattaya Second Road and Beach Road were within short walking distance. Also, the hotel provides free baht taxi service to the Second Road 24 hours a day and are always there to provide return service. The staff, from front desk, restaurant, and bell were very nice and good at their job. The rooms were large and all have a balcony. The bathroom smallish but functional. Wireless internet throughout the hotel and in rooms but rather expensive. One hour is 180 baht. When you log off, the timer stops. For one day, the cost is 400 baht and the time does not stop when you log off. Access is good for only 24 hours. The hotel boasts of three different restaurants along with a jazz bar. There is a very small room advertised as a French Bistro Restaurant with maybe two or three tables. The Cafe has menus for Thai/International, Italian, and French Bistro. There is no separate Italian Restaurant. Ray's Place is advertised as a jazz bar but all we heard was American black soul music. We ate breakfast only once during our three days there; the first day. Typical hotel buffet breakfast which was not included in our booking. I only wanted an omlett and it cost 195 baht. There is a small mall about 3 minutes walking away. They have a 24 hour dinner where I had breakfast each day; 58 baht for two eggs, two bacon, two toast, orange juice and coffee. There is a Villa Market there with a lot of international items including English newspapers. Overall, a good quality hotel.
I stayed at the Mercure hotel Pattaya in June '09, it is a very high standard hotel, the rooms are excellent (I booked a deluxe) the location is not tooo bad, a 4 minute walk to Pattaya 2nd road, near soi 13, you can walk through the Avenue shopping centre 24 hours a day! This shopping cantre also has a multi screen cinema, the swimming pool in the hotel is grewat, very big with loads of loungers! I got a really good price on Agoda.
Great value and I'll be back”
Perhaps unusual for Pattaya I was looking for somewhere to work for a week in a quiet pleasant environment, convenient for amenities during breaks. Mercure was just about perfect. The 7th floor delux room overlooking the pool was quiet at all times, modern, bright and comfortable. Wi-fi at baht 1,000 per week was great.Staff were friendly and it was a great location to pop out for a coffee, beer whatever and huge range of food. Buffet Breakfast was on offer at a very reasonable baht 150 but the ingredients were typical of Thailand and poor .. I found much tastier and much better value within a few minutes walk. I was working and did not use the pool or other facilities .. but they looked OK. I have lived in Thailand 30 years and stayed in hundreds of hotels. At the price it was one of the nicest experiences. Great value and I'll use it again!
Mercure Pattaya is a well appointed luxury hotel perfectly suited in central Pattaya. Room large with good amenities. All staff friendly, helpful, relaxed yet professional. Will recommend to friends.
My stay at the Mecure. I will highly recommend it to anyone visiting Pattaya Beach. The hotel is away from the main roads which made for a peaceful stay. The accomodations were very comfortable and the hotel staff was always eager to help out and very friendly. If your in Pattaya, the Mercure is the place to stay.
hotel with good location”
mercure hotel pattaya is located at the city center. it is very easy to find and a lot of shopping malls, restaurants and shops around. the swimming pool is very beautiful. rooms are basically clean, but there are a lot of ants in the room. the chair in the room were broken, and they fixed it immediately when i reported to them. it would be better if they will offer the breakfast coupon for us.
Love the swimming pool”
Overall the Mercure Pattaya is adequate for a family stay. Very nice swimming pools, great for kids, towels provided at poolside. Tried the spa as well, inexpensive and good, same price in house poolside or room massage. Free 24 hour shuttle to main rd Pattaya 2nd road, else a 10-15 mins walk bad sewer smell lol. Small balcony with lounge chairs provided. Very small bathroom, ok for us as it does make the room look bigger. TV and air con and wifi worked fine. Family friendly but guest friendly as well, overall satisfactory, will consider booking Mercure for next visit.
Comfortable hotel, friendly staff, great location”
I have stayed at the Mercure Pattaya many times and I continue to go back whenever I visit Pattaya. It is within convenient walking distance of entertainment and good shopping. In the past 3 years I have only stayed at this hotel and will continue to go back.
I have stayed at the Mercure Pattaya many times. I always enjoy my stays and the staff is always friendly and helpful. They have just installed new flat screen TV's in the rooms and are replacing the patio furniture.
Best location and good service”
Whne i arrived at the hotel lobby, time was about 12:00 p.m. But i could check in as soon as possible. Every staff were good, even if i had a lot of questions they always kept kind attittude. If i had a chance to visit pattaya, i choose Mercure Hotel.
This the first time I go to pattaya but this hotel is very nice and located in main road.I would like to recommend it to many my friend want go to Pattaya Beach. The accomodations were very comfortable and the hotel staff was always to help and very friendly. If you need to go out Mercure hotel will send the tuk tuk free to take you from the hotel to main street and when you back to hotel. If your in Pattaya, the Mercure is the place to stay.
This hotel is very nice and staff were helpful and very professional. If you would like to stay in a nice hotel and not in one of the rundown hotels they have all over Pattaya stay at Mercure. I will be there again in September.
We enjoyed the stay at the Mercure Hotel Pattaya, it was staffed by friendly and helpful staff, who were very quick to offer solutions to problems. The hospitality bus through to the main road was extensively used.
Exellent Value for Money, 5 Star Pool!”
Excellent location, walking street can be reached within 10 minutes walk. There is a 24-hour shuttle service to the main road (2nd road), from there walking street, royal garden and the beach can be reached within 5 minutes. The hotel is a little bit away from the 2nd road therefore it is very quiet. There is some construction going on around the hotel but there was almost no noise. Poolside rooms have a nicer view, the other rooms are in street direction but even those are quiet. There is probably no other hotel with a nicer pool in this price range. Good food in the hotel restaurant. Excellent value for the room rate compared to other Pattaya hotels in this price range, hard to beat.
i know many cheap room around pattaya but if compared with mercure of course there are some different. they have concern with details and set up for our comfortable and luxury. dont worry value back.
Nice hotel in Pattaya”
The Mercure is a smart newish hotel in Pattaya, it has a lovely pool with nice areas for sun beds of which there were always plenty of. The hotel has a nice restaurant and the food was excellent. At the moment there is a lot of building work going on around the hotel, but this does not intrude once actually in the hotel. However it does make it rather unpleasant to walk from the main streets to the hotel but this not a problem because the hotel provides a free shuttle service which operates 24hrs to and from the main street approximately 300m away.
clean rooms and good location”
The Mercure Hotel is located on a quieter street in Central Pattaya, not far from the Pattaya Bay Resort. The hotel is within convenient walking distance from shopping, restaurants and the nightlife area. It is a bit far from the beach, but I am personally not impressed by the beach in Pattaya. I would recommend this hotel for solo travelers and couples.
Lovely Hotel in Pattaya”
