Perfect location to be close to airport”

Close to airport, quiet hotel, Friendly Staff

The Leonardo da Vinci Rome Airport Hotel is close enough to the airport but at the same time only about 30mins away from the city. As I needed a 2 day stopover I found this hotel to be the perfect choice. The restaurant and bar was pretty good and the breakfast provided was a nice range of hot and cold selections. The gym equipment was in good condition and easy to use. The swimming pool was nice and big. If you need to visit a local store for supplies. I found a local grocery store only a 6 minute walk. Just turn right out of the driveway and walk straight you will reach this store in about 6 minutes. The shuttle bus service they provide for a small fee to then city was convenient as we were dropped off and pickup after we spent a day visiting the Colosseum. If you are looking for a hotel for a short stay, Leonardo da Vinci Rome Airport Hotel is a nice choice.

Close proximity to FCO airport €6 transfer shuttle”

Close to airport with cheap shuttle and friendly staff

*Departing Rome hotel stay* After reading reviews of expensive taxi fares i decided to take public transport from rome city center termini station which was super easy. If you plan to stay at fco da vinci airport hotel before taking a flight the next day you can either take a €4 bus to fco airport or the train which i found easier €14 to fco which takes you to terminal 3 departures, then you just have to take the stairs downstairs to arrivals and follow the signs to hotel shuttle number 24. The shuttle is €6 which they record your name and charge to your hotel account. The hotel may have been a 4 star in its day but it would be a 3 star now entirely based on the condition of the hotel rooms and amenities for example: scratched chipped paint on walls, furniture and signage, stainless steel tap handle worn and rusted, smelly carpet on 3rd floor, broken gym equipment etc. The bar menu was reasonably priced for a hotel i suppose at €10 a salad (generous portion), €2.50 cappuccino, €7 wine, the dining restaurant is more expensive. Overall it was clean, safe and the staff were friendly, good for a quick stopover near the airport at an affordable cost.

Great hotel in close proximity to Fiumicino Airpor”

Very clean and presentable; good restaurant and lovely staff

We had a one night stay after a long international flight prior to our departure elsewhere. The hotel provides a very good shuttle bus service to / from Fiumicino Airport. All of the staff speak very good English and were only too happy to assist. I had emailed in advance as my travelling companion had special needs - all of these were actioned exactly as requested. I would recommend this hotel to anybody needing a good hotel near the airport...it also appears to have ample parking for those with rental cars, etc.

Handy location close to airport before leaving Rom”

Location close to the airport, good bar/restaurant, good bar and restaurant staff

This was a simple find close to the airport on our last day before leaving Rome. Its a new hotel but a little difficult to find via GPS. We found it and were happy with the stay in general. The barman was excellent for our early evening aperitif and turning he TV up so we could here the ANZAC commemeration. He was chatty and made great cocktails. The restaurant manager was also excellent and attentive. The restaurant meal price was expensive though. The only downer for us was the rather surly reception staff. What is it about 4 and 5 star hotels that reception staff training seems to include officiousness rather than genuine attentive interest?

Rome Visit”

Close to airport. Rooms are virtually sound proof so air traffic is no problem. HVAC system doesn't work properly in our room. Staff is excellent. In house restaurant and bar are wonderful. Marco, restaurant manager and Marta our bartender are the best. Marco's attention to service, food quality and customer satisfaction are extraordinary. Marta personally served our cocktails, waiting at our table while we tasted them for our satisfaction before returning to her station. We will definitely stay here if we return to Rome. Be aware hotel is several miles from most tourist attractions. Hotel offers a variety of transportation solutions but they are pricey.

Good airport hotel”

Quick overnight transit in Rome between flights - this hotel was good value. Friendly staff provided guidance on local area restaurants within 10 minute walk and a pharmacy practically next to the hotel. The room was clean and had a comfortable bed and pillows. A few issues - I couldn't figure out how to turn out the bathroom light which came on with the power system and the AC didn't seem to work well. But overall very well situated for my quick transit.

Pros - Location - it's abt 5-10 mins drive from the airport. Staff - friendly and helpful Amenities - nice restaurant bar opens till quite late. The menu prices are reasonable too. Cons - Elevator is a bit old. Clunky when u use it. Pool is a little small. Not much to do in the nearby areas but at least it's self sufficient.

Front desk, beds, shuttle

My friend and I had to stay one night somewhere safe and convenient after an 11:55 PM flight landing and this hotel was perfect for our late night needs. LOCATION I wish this place was closer to The airport! The cab cost us 20 euro. But we were in a bond and had to cough up the fee. STAFF: The front desk people were kind, efficient, and knowledgable. They accomadated my friend and I even with our late check in and were all very helpful when we arrived. When we checked out, they were just as friendly and personable. ROOM Our beds were comfy and the room was clean. Great to find after hours of plane travel! SHUTTLE The shuttle was a real help to get us into Rome's city center. My only wish is that we could have been dropped off closer to a metro line and that the AC was stronger. But other than that, it was great! Very convenient and clean. Decently priced as well. Overall, thank you for a great, safe and clean stay!!
