Location was great. Staff very helpful and friendly. Top marks for the reception staff!!! The only downside was that the breakfast variety was poor. Needed some vegetables, but could only remember them having mushroom and potatoes.

I was disappointed with the Mercure Sydney central. I was in a room that had their function area directly below and it was extremely noisey, the function did quiet down just after 10.30pm so that was pleasing. Again two nights later there was a large group of people congregating in the hallways on my floor, they were running, yelling banging doors which continued up until around 10.45pm. If you arrive after a long flight or needs early nights l wouldn’t recommend this hotel. The pool is a lot smaller than what it appears in the pictures and the whole pool area is very run down the ceiling is filthy. My sheets in my room were dirty , over all as it is not necessarily a cheap hotel l would not recommend this hotel.

Trains Station and bus station are just next to the hotel within 1 minute by walking. MCD, KFC, Subway, 7-11, Chemist Warehouse, café & coffee shops are all opposite the hotel, while the China Town is around 10-15 minutes away from the hotel by walking. The breakfast is so-so, everyday the same and not much choices .

It is a very nice hotel that is located beside central station. It is really easy to commute using bus, train and light rail. Would really recommend travellers to take a look at the hotel for their stay.

Double charged me”
I already prepaid with Agoda. They charged me again on the credit card I used for security deposit. Total waste of my time to initiate a dispute with my credit card company and provide evidence from Agoda. Please do yourself a favor and double check your credit card statement. They may double charge you!

This is immediately refunded upon checked out, however it does take time for the financial institution to process this back into your account, being an overseas transaction. The cleanliness was disappointing. I ordered room service. I called the room service to clear the dishes after eating. I was instructed to put the tray outside my room. Despite repeated reminders it was 36 hours before the tray was removed from the corridor.

Not bad, close to central station. The room is very basic, bathroom kits are like in 2 stars hotel. The smallest gym and slowest wifi. Breakfast hall is not large enough when many guests inside.

Very expensive for a basic room. And don’t get trapped by the car parking. Park elsewhere otherwise they will sting you.

great location in central sydney but nothing else”
the rooms were small but the queen bed is the smallest I've seen in my life. the staff gave a different room on check-in and when asked to give me the room for which i had paid, they said they were out of the rooms. On asking for a upgrade, i was asked to pay more- which i clearly refused. ultimately got the room which i had booked(which means i was lied to initially). not worth the amount i've paid.

Strongly recommend this hotel to everyone because of its perfect location. Staffs there are so nice and friendly. The only problem was our aircon was not cool enough. Overall, i will come back in the near future
