Location just around 5min walking distance to Waterfront, 3min walking to Plaza Merdeka Shopping mall, huge hotel with awesome history. From the hotel, you can also walk to State Museum which is just next to the building. Staff is all good and polite. Breakfast is good. Will stay here again in the future.
Staying room 205. Toilet problem and aircond is not functioning.
Made me waited for 2 hrs when i requested change room due to the door lock was not functioning when there are still rooms available for WALKED IN customers. Aren’t agoda customers equally important to walk ins? Please train your staffs properly to avoid such nonsense happen in the future.
Cleanliness is failed and Its OLD without renovations. ”
The cleanliness is not satisfied.
Wifi problem and goosebumps. But overall is a good hotel”
Basically this is an old hotel. Lobby is superb. It's my second time staying here. This round the standard room is spacey and comfortable. The staffs are all very professional, attentive and friendly. But, the minus point is the wifi connection. It was too slow and most of the time I couldn't connect at all. Another one is the swimming pool, which is small - only for kids. Certain time we felt the "chill" and "goosebumps" but luckily we never saw anything.
The hotel is located in the middle of Kuching town and really close to shopping mall and the latest attraction (the new Hana Bridge). The room rate is really great as compared to the value that you will get. The room is quite spacious, really comfy bed and pillow really help me to have a good sleep at night after work. If I come to Kuching another time, this hotel would be my ultimate choice. Only few things that can be improved is the selection of breakfast buffet and the friendliness of the counter staff. Should be more welcoming. Apart from that, all is great!
Pros 1. Strategic 2. Value for money Cons 1. Normal check in is after 12. Came late around 3 , unfortunately the room was not ready. Need to wait more an hour, ( made our check in time roughly at 5pm) which was unaccpetable since ive booked the room few days earlier especially in this kind of well known hotel.
Location is so strategic”
Loving my stay here. The location is so strategic and close to many attractions such as the Kuching Waterfront, Indian Street and we even walked to Mee Kolok Haji Salleh! The staffs were friendly and hotel decorations are so beautiful, with a touch of vintage and classic elements. Overall, I would recommend this hotel to all, especially young travellers.
great location but this hotel too old so not too recommended
The best hospitality!!!”
We got into our room, and noticed the control panel is faulty, some lights cant be switch on or off. We informed to the person in charge, and they switched our room at no extra pay, as the room was more expensive. One good thing is they have parking for the guest, which is what we considered the most when we book this hotel. Kudos to all!!
PLEASE IMPROVE YOUR HOTEL HYGIENE ”
It was a beautiful hotel, but sadly I must say it is mud everywhere. The toilets room was not being maintained to the standard of 4 star Hotel it was really disappointing. Luckily the stuff are friendly and helpful so yeah it just it really RUGI for a 4 star hotel for not being maintained up to their standard. Thanks
Nice staff..nice place...service ok..but the kitchen is not complete..cannot cooking..but its easy to find some restaurants there..
Unexpected and wrong star allocated”
Charger shock facilities too old.
Still expensive based on hotel age”
Food is nice, room looks old
- Telephone on room not working, I just ignore cause gonna stay for one night... - others than that, great service
pleasant stay. enjoyable”
strategic location. easy check in process. staff were friendly
Not a great place anymore.”
This hotel has so much potential and they neglect basic needs of customers. Rooms are poorly maintained (even the new ones). The apartment units are dusty and old. Plumbing issues are likely part of their stay experience. They leave 2 bottles of shampoo in the rooms but not one shower gel. You’re expected to take a shower with the cheap hand soapbar.
Dari reception nmpk macam hotel mahal tapi masuk hermmm biasa2 je. Mcm hotel bajet. Last time i amik standard room ja xtau la klau bilik lain. Going for business trip so really a quick one stay at hotel. Utk sekadar bermalam dan x nk yg fancy2 u can choose this hotel
A run down hotel”
I called and asked for a change of room immediately when I entered the 1st room that assigned to me. It's a room fitted for a family with kids: 1 king-size bed + 1 double bed! Then the front desk changed an accessible room for me. Too tired to make another request for change of room even thou the kind-side bed didn't look very much tidy up. no room slipper was provided. Walked bare foot in the bathroom that fits for wheel chaired old folks. Nightmare began when I decided to hit the sack, the wall lights couldn't be switched off! as the controlled panel was malfunctioned. To add my misery, the pillows and blanket smelled of bad odour. To confirm absent of proper house keeping, the next morning when I was about to take my shower, there's a small batch of black long hair laid on the bathroom. The problem was, I didn't wash my hair the night before and I'm a men with short hair. Darn! This was one of the worst hotel I'd ever checked in.
