      Great atmosphere ”

The owners (Hans and Ari) were very helpful, easy to talk to and would do anything for you. We went on a tour with a guide (not associated with Meriki) and were not impressed by him taking us to very expensive touristy places so we did not use him again, we wanted to see more of the real Bali and Ari took us on days out to see the main attractions but also to local villages to see the real Bali, she even showed us her house and explained the tradition of ceremonies, families and ownership. The location is good and not noisy, there is a convenience store next door, restaurants on the street including next door and it's just a short stroll to the main street. We had a fantastic time and would definitely stay again.

      Rooms were beautiful, staff friendly

Upon returning to Seminyak i would again stay at Meriki - all staff were friendly, service was good, room & grounds were a nice refuge from the busy shopping neighborhood nearby.

      Spacious rooms, Great location”

Lovely Staff, Good Internet, Great location

The Meriki is a good budget option in the heart of Seminyak. The rooms are really spacious but basic and feature an outdoor bathroom/kitchenette however, the kitchenette wasn't very well equipped. The grounds are nice and there is a nice pool to cool off in at the end of the day. The let down of The Meriki is just the state of dis-repair. It is a bit out-dated and could really use a bit of work. The best thing about it is the staff. Ari was so helpful and lovely and cooked us delicious breakfast (choice off a limited menu) each morning. The Meriki is really well placed in Seminyak, just 5 minute walk to 'eat st' full of fabulous restaurants, bars and boutiques and 10-15 min walk to the beach.

      Large room, pool, friendly staff

Our stay at Meriki was very comfortable, due to the large room and nice bathroom. We had a room next to the pool, which is definitly recommended. Breakfast is nice, the owners are friendly.

      Lovely place, great friendly staff”

Large superior room with facilities to cook

Meriki is a nice small hotel located about 15 minutes walk from the beach and 10 minutes walk from the shops and restaurants on the main street. There are a few nice restaurants located close by as well as a convenience store. The superior garden view room that we stayed in was large with a kitchen area and large fridge so that you could cook if you wanted to or buy food for lunch. From what I could see of the other rooms, they were similar in design. Breakfast was included in our rate and the food was nice. The staff were always happy and friendly and our rooms and linen were cleaned and changed every day. The hotel also has a pool which was very clean.

      Quiet, Good Breakfast, Relaxing ambience

Location is good - Away from traffic, but not too far from restaurants and beach (10 mins walk). Lots of hidden jewels (we were exploring the nearby alleys and stumbled across a football pitch with reaallly good grass in the middle of nowhere. Random but awesome). Once you get to the seminyak beach, it is a 10-20 minute walk to kuta beach. Family run hotel - Service is exceptional - very accomodating and friendly.

these rooms are spacious, and surprise, surprise everything worked in the room.the staff are very efficient, and also very polite and friendly,a great change.the pool is very nice, with great surrounds.breakfast was the best i have experienced in bali, fresh juice, and always with a great big smile. but a really good selling point was that you can cook yourself in the rooms ,as they have all the facilities available, for those nights when you wish to stay home when it is raining.i booked in for 3 days, but ended up staying for a couple of weeks!!

      Pool area is good.

I love this hotel, very quiet but so close to all the best shops and clubs in Seminyak. Staff are great and very helpfull. Rooms are huge and so is the bed and bathrooms. There is no resto in this hotel but there is one next door open till midnight. Breakfast was good portion and tasted great. Kitchenete is basic but I didnt use it anyway. Good selection of drinks in the mini Bar. Only complaint was wifi service to my room/area was offline but it worked great in other areas of the hotel grounds with good speed. I know it was fixed the day I checked out so for my next stay here this will be perfect location for me.

      A hidden gem”

      quiet location, close to shops

this hotel is hidden down a side street in the heart of seminyak. our taxi driver almost missed it. the staff are friendly and enjoy funny stories. rooms are big and generous. amazingly there was no roof above our shower – it was open to the sky in balinese style. very tropical, but we felt uncomfortable at night with bats and insects flying above. our room was a little bit damp. maybe this is because it was on the ground floor next to a pond. the location of this hotel is perfect. you can walk 5 mins up the road to the fashionable shops at jalan kayu aya (also known as jalan oberoi). if it's too hot, just catch a cab. the hotel is perfect if you do not expect 4-star luxury. the only thing i didn't like was the luwak cat inside a small cage in reception. next to this is a cockatoo bird that has been chained. this was sad to see.

      great location in semynak”

      walking distance to entertainment

Meriki is in a advantage location wich has easy access to the buzz around the area; be it shopping, dinning or entertainment. Car park is convenient. Although the hotel itself is old, but it's kept well maintained. The hotel sign can use a bit work on; otherwise it could easily be missed. The breakfast is served on an open terrace which is quite delightful. It can almost be qualified as a small zoo, since there are quite a collection of pets kept in the property. Dog barks can be detected from time to time; but is not over the top noisy nevertheless.

Good pool area and huge rooms.

Although it is difficult to find this hotel even by taxi, it is worth the stay here. It is a 10 min walk to some great shopping and resturants. The rooms are huge and more than enough space to live in. The kitchenette was very basic but was adiquate for my needs. The shower/bathroom was good, and plenty of hot water for bathing at any time of the day or night. They have good modern bikes for rental too at good prices which makes getting around much easyer. This is the quietest place I have stayed in all my travelling around Bali. Although it does not have a resturant it does serve a nice breakfast to my room each morning, and there are some nice local eating places very close by.

      Good breakfast, good location”

      Location, price, BF

We had a different room this time, a bit nicer, facing the pool, below the BF area (but that was not such an issue). Internet made some trouble but it was difficult that day at other locations too, so maybe the hotel is not to blame for it. The other morning it was very good :-) Breakfast was nice, all freshly made, better you plan some time or make your order 15 minutes in advance. The location is good - as expected. Not sure if they corrected the map on booking.com so... The kitchen of the room could be better equipped and there was no gas but we did not cook, so it was ok... Only problem: MOSQUITOS !!! Many, fat and hungry - guys, please buy mosquito nets if you don't find a different way to get that sorted !!!
