Metro Aspire Hotel Sydney is a neighborhood hotel with Sydney at its doorstep. Conveniently located in a quiet street in Sydney’s Ultimo, it’s a short walk to nearby attractions such as the Powerhouse Museum, Ian Thorpe Aquatic Centre, Paddy’s Market, China Town, and Darling Harbour. The property offers spacious and quiet rooms, most with a balcony that offers fresh air to guests preferring natural conditions versus air conditioning. Many of the balconies offer city views of Sydney’s central business district to neighborhood surroundings. A buffet breakfast is available daily in the hotel’s restaurant. Other facilities include a business center and three meeting rooms with natural light, on-site under cover parking, and 24-hour reception. Metro Aspire Hotel Sydney is also a smoke-free hotel.

Fantastic Place to Stay Close to Darling Harbour”
Darling Harbour is only a a 15 minute walk from Metro Aspire. I was here for work and had to be at the ICC daily and the walk was very easy. There are very good priced places to eat nearby and the Gum Tree (restaurant at Metro) also has a very reasonably priced menu (compared to places at Darling Harbour). Closest public transport is the light rail which is about a 10 minute walk to the Chinatown station. The light rail does not have as many stops as the main train but this connects to Central Station if you wan to get to the main train line. Chinatown station is right in from of Paddy's market which is great for food stops and fresh fruit. The room is very big. So much bigger than what I expected for a Sydney Hotel at the price that we paid. The rooms are very clean and cleaned daily. My son was with me and loved the bath tub in the room's bathroom. The best thing about Metro is the staff! Everyone is absolutely helpful and very friendly. I cannot say anything bad about this place. Highly recommended.
Exceptional! ”
We had a wonderful 4-night stay at The Metro Aspire (March 26-30). The front desk staff greeted us immediately upon our arrival. Although we were over 4 hours early for posted check-in time and were prepared to store our luggage at the desk to allow us to start seeing Sydney, the sweet lady at the desk arranged for us to check into our room immediately. This was much appreciated after our 15.5 hour overnight flight. We can truthfully say that we had NO complaints with our accommodations, the location or the staff. In fact, the hotel was beautiful and extremely fresh/clean. We were only a 10 minute walk to Central Station, Chinatown & Darling Harbour, but really enjoyed the hotel being in a nice quiet area out of the "hustle bustle". The staff was always helpful and friendly. Especially for the price, this hotel can't be beat.
Great hotel & helpful staff”
We stayed at the Metro Aspire Hotel in January 2019. Our room was clean and recently renovated. The shower pressure was excellent. The location was conveniently located near Darling Harbour and Chinatown. It was a 15 minute walk to Central Station, Broadway mall and Central Park mall. It was a bus ride away from the University of Sydney. The staff were friendly and helpful. Elaine was especially nice and helpful! All in all, we enjoyed our stay.
A gem hidden 10 minutes from Central”
For the quality of service, cleanliness, location, affordable nights of stay seems lost Central Sydney, but Metro Aspire Hotel offers all that. located beside a park for morning run, exercise or chill, it gives its customers a break from stress whether from touring or business trips. The ten minute walk to the Central Station is the delicious topping for every tourist to reach any NSW destination. you can be in the hotel bryshing your teeth in the morning and hiking the Blue Mountains before lunch, swimming Bondi Beach or saying hello to sleepy Koala by mid morning. Recommended. No doubt. 😊
convenient in every way!”
I travel often and location is the first thing for me next to budget. Metro Aspire gave me both benefits and I was so happy about it. The hotel is close to everywhere by walk... cafes and restaurants are close by, and many more! the hotel itself gave me so much comfort after a long day of sign seeing! i love everything in Metro Aspire and will definitely book this hotel in my next trip to Sydney.
Great experience!”
We stayed in the Premium Deluxe Room where my family of 5 could stay together. The room was huge with great facilities (ironing board + iron, electronic jug, television, table with chairs, etc) provided. Very much what most of travellers needed and find useful in a hotel room. I hope to return to this hotel when I visit Sydney again! Thank you Metro Aspire Hotel!
Clean and comfy room, quiet yet accessible location, helpful staff”
I stayed at Metro Aspire Hotel Sydney for 4 nights. The room is tidy and cozy, with a big balcony. Also, the location is convenient, china town and tram are in walking distance. The most memorable thing during my stay was that I left my bag(with my wallet and passport) in a restaurant, and I only realised it after i was back to the hotel. It was already 11pm and the restaurant has closed. I was so panic because I would be checking out the next day, so I went downstairs and asked the hotel staff for help. Elaine, a staff with long black ponytail comforted me and tried to call the restaurant. Although no one picked up the phone, i did feel better because they tried to help. Afterwards, another male staff helped me to send an email to the restaurant, promising they will keep me posted. Elaine asked me not to be worried, just come down the next morning and they would help us to call again. Luckily, i went back to the restaurant the next day and FOUND MY BÅ˝G! Thanks everyone who helped!
Friendly place with lovely rooms”
Everything about Metro Aspire Hotel was good. It is quiet, efficient and provides high quality for a very reasonable price. It is just the slightest bit out of the way, a fact that contributes to its good environment, but makes it just ever so slightly inconvenient if you don't have transport, but in the age of Uber, that is not really a major issue. Family friendly and particularly good for longer stays.
Hello, Sydney!”
Seamless check-in (early too) and check- out, great and hospitable staff, clean room, comfy bed. Located just 10mins outside of the CBD and a short walk from the city’s top attractions, Metro Aspire is the perfect jump off point to one’s Sydney adventures. The surroundings are quiet at night, allowing for much needed rest after a long day. I enjoyed my stay immensely. Highly recommended.
Fantastic rooms and very quiet.”
It was a big surprise and a pleasant one when we walked into our room at the Aspire. It was very spacious indeed! Large sliding window meant plenty of light and there was a desk, coffee table and settee as well as the beds (gives an idea of the size!). Lovely clean bathroom and good shower. The staff were all so friendly and amenable. The hotel is based around the corner really from the Powerhouse museum and we found the Light Railway stop at the back of the Ian Thorpe Aquatic Centre, about 5 minutes walk, to be the easiest way to get to the main places we wanted to go, although there were bus stops close by. It is also very close to Paddy's Market and Chinatown. The taxi was quite a bit more expensive than expected. We loved it and would definitely recommend.
Value for Money”
Our stay at Metro Aspire Sydney was great. The staff were friendly & professional, the room was sizeable & clean, and the location is quiet, yet within walking distance to the Central Station plus eateries.
I'll be back”
I was looking for somewhere to stay close to work after working a really late shift and the Metro Aspire Hotel was perfect. It was nice and close to work, clean, modern and safe. The staff were friendly and even gave me a 10% discount on my next booking. I will be back.
LOCATION -LOCATION - LOCATION”
For a Hotel close to everything and only a short walk away - Great Value for the Money. Shopping Mall - even a nice walk to The Rocks and Sydney Harbour - can walk there easily from this Hotel. In Australia everything closes at 5pm - Only Thursday Night is Late Night Shopping and then open till 9pm. Yet if you want to get some bottled water or even a snack - there is a Coles Convenience Store / Gas Station only a short walk from the Hotel open till Midnight which will satisfy all your needs. Again - Darling Harbour Shopping / China Town / Sydney University / TAFE ( Technical and Further Education ) / Sydney English Language College / UTS all a short walk from this Hotel - Even Central Station where you can catch a train to anywhere in Australia is only a nice short walk from this Hotel. Why Rent a Car - I didn't and I could get to the Blue Mountains & Katoomba or a Train to Perth or even Brisbane all from a short walk from the Hotel.
Value for money”
I have stayed in a number of different types of hotels at a.number of different price points & found the Metro Aspire a great value for both convenience & accommodation quality.
Loved the location.”
I have just returned from a 4 night stay at the Aspen in Sydney and it exceeded all my expectations for a value hotel. It was clean, comfortable, quiet and the staff were very helpful. The hotel is in walking distance of a number of smaller restaurants and pubs, as well as being a short walk to Darling Harbour for a much bigger choice. And the price, booked online through the hotel website, was about half of brand-name hotels in the area. I will definitely stay there again and recommend it to others.
Good location and helpful staff”
This sits on a quiet estate but is close to many places, including Market City and Paddy's Market, Powerhouse Museum (where the Big Bus stops), Chinatown, Darling Harbour, and slightly further, Sydney Fish Market, Broadway Mall, Central Park Mall and Central Station. The reception staff are helpful too. They even helped us open a stubborn tube of toothpaste with a knife.
Excellent service, clean and quiet”
An excellent place to stay, great staff, spotlessly clean rooms and no noise on level one what more can you ask for in Sydney. Located close to Darling Harbour and Central station only a short walk away. Exceptional customer service, everyone made us feel very welcome especially the fellow at the restaurant. This place really is a gem and we will be staying here again. We were very impressed as we have stayed a number of other places in Sydney that just do not compare with service, quality of the rooms and great service.
Spacious room with a great location”
The hotel has very spacious rooms and good location as it is very close to Central Station and Chinatown. We found it very close to every places that very important during our stay, such us transportation, food and....to find souvenirs. The hotel is surrounded by campus complex, such as TAFE and UTS, and we consider it as safe area as we always spent our way back to hotel by foot around 9-10 PM and had no problems at all. The staffs also very helpful and provide vast response to our request. We even had our emails, before we decided to book hotel, being responded within 2 hours (or quicker) and provided us with very detailed informations which made us comfortable to stay in the hotel. Definitely will come back to this hotel
Location was great, staff friendly, room clean and spacious. Great Hotel and great price! ”
Great location. I was visiting Sydney with my teenage daughter to check out the universities. Perfectly located, extremely safe neighbourhood and located within walking distance to all many attractions. Plenty of places to eat out, the food in the hotel was plenty and of good quality. Lovely bar area served by friendly staff and very helpful and willing to chat to you about your day and offer advice on how to get to places. We were able to check in early and our luggage was held for us until our evening flight. Loved this hotel so much we have just rebook to stay again on our next visit in June!
Affordable and clean hotel near city”
Location: near Chinatown 7-10 mins walk, 20-25 mins walk to city Westfield shopping mall. 10 mins walk to Harbourside. Located in a quite street. Room: room cleaner done a great job, every night we surprised our room so tidy and clean. Room size is big enough for a family with two kids. Price: reasonable price compare with other hotels in Sydney city. I definitely would come back in the future.
