Price doubled during New Year celebrations ”
We booked last minute due to last minute cancellation from other hotel, during 31st Dec all the hotel doubled in price including this one. It is the cheapest one we could find. We took bus no. 706 from bus station in Taoyuan Airport Terminal 1 (about 30 minutes ride) and walked about 300 metres to the hotel. There is nothing special about the location. There a 7-11 within walking distance. The receptionist was polite and helpful. The room was spacious but a bit old. We booked twin bed, to our surprise the bed was both queen size. Bath tub was available. There is a bus stop nearby if you want to go to the airport on budget (about TWD 40) or alternatively you can get UBER (TWD 1000).

although taoyuan is a small city, and metropolis hotel is not so near from the Taoyuan train station. But it is quite cheaper and more comfortable than the hotel in Taibei.

Ok Hotel in Taoyuan”
Decent Hotel in Taoyuan for the price. Could use a few upgrades, like getting rid of the old carpet in the rooms, but overall it was clean comfortable stay. Good if you have a early morning flight from TPE, or some business in Taoyuan Area. The price is good, and the staff are friendly, and communication in English was not a problem.

nice hotel, comfy and clean. very suitable for business or airport overnight traveler. hotel provided good breakfast. you can catch a cab for twd100 to the main station and from there 30 minutes by train to taipei city. we could have stayed longer to explore the city of taoyuan more.

good rooms with many "Extreme Loud customers" stay”
the interior of the room is ok, the food in night market nearby is delicious and cheap, 15 mins away from airport is another advantage for travelers who arrival Taiwan but only need a shower and a bed before move on to other cities in middle / South Taiwan. The staffs there are very helpful for providing any tourism info and services. However, the “mandarin speaking tourists” stay at my level is extreme loud - before 7am, the first round I requested them to reduce the level of “shouting discussions” as I’m sleeping… once I went back, within seconds, their “shouting discussion” goes on again, the second round I beg them with no improvement at all, the third and fourth time, I shouted them loud, but have totally no respond… I know that this is their daily practice as “shouting discussion” and understand why there are so many negative comments for the “mandarin speaking tourists”!!! A good hotel sometimes would drag down by its customers. A recommended hotel for me provided if you planned to wake up before 6am.

nice room, bad location”
This was a nice hotel for the price we paid, but we were there in the off-season. But we were disappointed having chosen the hotel based on proximity to the airport, but its niether close to the airport nor the train station, so its a bit of a cab fare to get there. if youre coming from taipei its hard to find. The agoda web page said it had an airport shuttle, but it does not, so hopefully you saved some cash for the cab to the airport.

Big and clean room. Cheap room charge”
It was a corner suite which I stayed this time, and we stayed in a room with living room as well. My son enjoyed a lot playing in the living room. 2 things which i don't like this hotel are (1) their wifi is very weak (2) they have the free adult movie in channel 14 which we never request. I was so worried about my son turing to this channel!

nothing much in walking distance from the hotel. need to take a cab at about 10 minutes and 120 twd to the city. street markets there are great with lots of good food and cheap apparels. staff are really friendly to explain everything for us. will call us cabs and provide us direction to popular places.

we were in transit so only there for about 14 hours, a shuttle service to the airport was mentioned when booking through agoda but this does not exist. the hotel is not a particularly attractive or interesting area. the hotel itself is very pleasant and the breakfast good.

Spacious Hotel located around TaoYuen Airport”
It looks close (abt 20 mins) to the Airport ut it requires almost or taxi; for the round trip because it is a highway indeed. Thus, for my case with a single room only, just spendmore. I can live in the airport hotel.

Ok for a night's stay”
The stay was forgettable as it was only for a night. Hotel was quite run down but rooms/bathrooms were huge as we got an upgrade for the last minute. Breakfast, however, was a let down as there was a strong odour from the kitchen which we later realized was that of pork intestines. Could barely stomach in the breakfast due to the odour. Check in and check out was a total breeze.

The room is spacious and big, the toilet is also big and clean and is good for honeymoon couple. The aircon is bit warmer as we check in the hotel, it took also the whole afternoon for the aircon to cool, same as my friends room.

Good place nearby airport”
the hotel condition was ok for the price we paid. the toilet was new renovated, i guess. but the carpet and sofa gave a bit of dusty feeling. the bed and pillows were not comfortable. i hardly got a good sleep during the night. the breakfast timing was too early. it ended before 9 am well, overall if you just look for a place nearby the airport to stay over for a night, this place would be in a good location to stay.

Generally, the hotel is good. I enjoyed their free coffee and tea. One thing that really annoys me is the smoke coming from the outside for the reason that the hotel is located at the heart of restaurants and lots of cooking are everywhere.

Poor Communication”
My flight was late therefore the hotel car didn't pick me up. When I made it to the hotel the female clerk told me it was too late to pick me up. I had a difficult time understanding her English so another guest tried to help and she yelled at both of us, saying "it's finished." The area outside the airport is remote and it was dark so the experience was scary.
