Noisy”
Good beds, hot showers, delicious breakfast, and kind staff. The main problem here is constant noise from the streets outside. That is of course expected in the center of any big city. BUT, repetitive noise is a big problem, at least for me. If you are not familiar with the organilleros in Mexico city, you will get to know them very well after a stay in this hostel. They start playing 0730 every morning, and each song loop is around 30 seconds. Imagine this on repeat all day for 12 hours all week. And the organs are not tuned at all. I literally went crazy because of that. In the evening there are drums for 2-3 hours, starting from 2000. Random noise is okay for me, but the repetitive noise from the organilleros is really a disaster. Remember to bring ear plugs.

Great place to stay”
Mexiqui Zocalo was a fantastic place to stay in Mexico City. It is in an incredible location - right in the square but surprisingly quiet at night. I recommend if you aren't a good sleeper to ask for a room away from the hangout. Our room was right next to it and there were loud people in there. In saying that, they do have quiet times (after midnight, I think). Great view from the rooftop, a free breakfast and helpful, friendly staff, not to mention very cool wall murals.

¡Evítalo a toda costa!”
