Miami Beach Resort & Spa
great hotel, small problems”
The hotel has a great location. The problem is that even AGODA says no other fees apply .... well I had to pay for the tax and for parking! We loved the staff and the beach was fantastic. We'll be back!
Great historic hotel ”
We were staying here one night post cruise. It’s very close to everything that’s happening in Miami Beach. It’s a really cool old historic building. I really enjoyed the view from our room as well. I will definitely stay here again.
Great stay at Miami Beach”
We spent 5 nights in the hotel with my Brother and it was very enjoyable! Although as you can read in other reviews the hotel is a little outdated, all other aspects made our stay perfect. Staff were extremely nice and helpful! The location of the hotel is perfect, located a couple miles from South Beach with easy access to the centre via Uber. The hotel is located right at the beach, with a beautiful view from the room, outdoor pool and a bar next to it, gym and saunas. We stayed in a double room with partial ocean view, with 2 big beds that were very comfortable and the bathroom is large with 2 sinks separated with a door so ideal for 2 ppl. The hotel has a restaurant with great kitchen, vending machines, coffeeshop for the morning where you can have bakery products and good coffee. Altogether it was a super enjoyable stay!
3rd time staying at Miami Beach Resort & Spa”
1) benefit is it's a brief 3 block walk over to Fontainebleau lobby bar which is a great spot for nightlife. 2) rooms are fine - 4 star - clean - no complaints 3) the sauna hasn't working 3 years. The steam room works if you put your towel over your head and stand over the steam... it's definitely not tranquil but if you need to detox / sweat out alcohol / toxins - it serves its purpose. It's free to use while if you stay at Eden Roc or Fontainebleau - their spa will cost you around USD50.00. At Miami Beach Resort & Spa - their nonworking sauna and old steam room is free. 4) Lobby is nice. 5) staff have always been pleasant. 6) you're right on the beach and you're in a nice area of South Beach. Walgreens is about 10 minute walk away and so is Subway. Overall I guess I'd stay here again if Eden Roc and Fontainebleau prices are too high than what I want to pay for. Hotel Victor is another option with a sauna - much nicer place but in busy South Beach by Clevelander Bar.
Good on a budget”
If you are looking for a no frills hotel right on the beach this hotel can't be beat. Rooms are in quality condition, bathrooms way out of date but functional. While they can stand to make an update and had a major leak in the basement shop during my stay it really was a good hotel overall. There was only one restaurant open during our stay, but there is a small cafe open until 5 or 6, and then a vending area that wasn't consistently open when it was supposed to be, which was after the cafe closed. The little shop they had was great. Clothes, snacks, shoes, toiletries. Everything at your finger tips for without having to leave the hotel. Pool was awesome to hang out at and they give you towels you can take down to the beach. Resort fee doesn't include the chairs and umbrellas at the beach like the Grand Beach next door does so that was a little disappointing. At half the price of the Grand Beach and close to my friends who stayed next door it was worth it and I'd stay again.
it was a horrible stay no yhanks for help on chargeing when not needed to cause i did check in f”
I need to talk to the customer service about seeing over charged for a consultation that was made but said was not made you can comfurm with hotel that it was made so I need my money back on my cerdit card please ASAP YOU ALSO CAN CALL THE HOTEL FOR CONFERMATION THANKS DOMINIC ROMERO
Beautiful hotel and private beach. Rooms are nice but no microwave or refrigerator so be prepared to spend money on eating out. Places to eat are about 15 blocks away which I didn’t mind driving BUT there is no way you can find a parking spot anywhere so it’s best to get a taxi or Uber. Other than that staff was amazing and so friendly. Check out took less than 2 minutes. I would go here again!
In need of TLC”
Very central but very tired and poorly maintained
Terrible experience! Filed a complain.”
Have been staying there from Jan 26th to Jan 31st with my parents. T e r r i b l e ! ! ! There is a construction on most of the floors. Only 2 lifts out of 4 were working and you have to wait for it really long! One day I've been waiting for the lift to get to lobby about 10 mins. The lift just got stuck on one of the construction floors and the second one just wasn't moving at all. And during all of our stay we had to ride with the workers and their stuff - barrels of cement and paint and all of construction waste (I have everything pictured and filmed!) Not to mention that the lifts were very dirty because of this! It was awful! I'm pregnant and I had to inhale all of this waste! Second thing - the noise. Construction works started as early as 8 am, one day even earlier, about 7:45 am. We didn't get any rest at all. Third thing - we were freezing. It was a chilly week and the hotel doesn't have any heating system. 4th - customer service! Can't fit in my full review here, unfortunat
Value for your money”
This is a cheap old hotel in desperate need of a full renovation. That being said, you can not be anywhere close to here for at least 200% more money. Value is not in the property but in the location. My advice- Have a few drinks so you won’t notice how bad it is and take a few sleeping pills so you can sleep thru the wind banging on the windows and hearing all your neighbors thru the paper thin walls. I guess it’s a good thing that the TV’s are from the late 90’s so you don’t have to worry about rooms next to yours TV’s blaring. Oh- also give yourself a few extra minutes for the elevator... Enjoy Miami!
There was absolutely no staff. The phones in the room didn’t work. The WiFi was very poor. There were a handful of cable channels. There were all types of hidden fees. I chose this hotel b/c it was a good price. I was heavily overcharged.
It what's promised on your website.”
The hotel is under construction. 1 our of 4 elevators were in service. Half the pool area is closed off. Windows were filthy dirty. I over paid to your company. Will not use your site in the future. Will remove the. Trivago app.
Lovely traditional hotel”
This hotel is in a beautiful location, the views are stunning, it is a long walk from the bars and restaurants of south beach but the peaceful location makes it worth while, with the free bus running all day and night it makes it so worth while. Pool is lovely, pool bar was closed for work but not having work done which was a shame, would have lived to watch the sunset from there
This place went completely downhill! Outdoor bar closed, old beach chairs, sitting by the pool and construction being done, paint chips flying all over. Women in the hotel shop completely rude. Gym was beyond dates and no hot water for a shower. They charge a resort fee for absolutely nothing. We went and spent our money at another resort: We will never be back
We enjoyed our stay. The room was descent and clean. The hotel is dated, but nice still. I would suggest reviewing all their policies before booking. We used a third party booking and the resort fee was not disclosed. At check-in, we were only informed of the deposit (which I was aware of) and that it would be refunded at checkout. The resort fee was mentioned only at the end of the visit, which was a little shady to me. Other than that, we enjoyed our visit to Miami. Unfortunately, we will not be utilizing this hotel again.
Your turn up... Initially you are cornered into a $32 valet parking fee.... The so called luxury rooms are bare basic and completely run down... the staff (except for ceasar who was very helpful and deserves better than this run down hotel) are rude un attentive and when you question anything call you 'mean' no basics in a junior suite room i.e fridge and amenities... There website says" you will indulge in refreshing luxury" ( complete opposite) No room service after travelling all day... you have to collect yourself as no one can deliver to room??? yet they can deliver your bill when you are checking out under your door?? basically I know people moan for the sake of it but please don't stay here at any cost for your sanity... were are now down in Key West staying at what a Florida hotel should be... relaxing... attentive... proper friendly service and not trying to rip you off at every angle... Miami Beach Resort and Spa give yourself a massive kick in the right direction please
Outdated. Old. Dirty. Elevator inspection was even expired and sounded like it was going to blow up. Shower created this loud banging sound which also cascaded the water to the same banging beat. Toilet pipes would squeal when flushed and could wake up the whole floor. Pool area was under construction, out door bar was set up under a pop up tent, bartenders used hose to was blender, no soap, so imagine the bacteria growing in there after pina coladas from 3 hours ago baking in the sun and only rinsed with Hose water. Actual bar that was being “renovated” has been that way for months and heard the bartender say they were shut down from building without permits so that says a lot about the hotel itself. Overall the hotel was just a trash place and would recommend sleeping on the beach and showering with their pool side bar “sink” hose instead.
Place was old and the staff was not good at there jobs...No customer service.
The place needs TLC it’s tired and smelly ”
Same as above - the renovation done are not to standard as compared to some of the hotels nearby. This looks outdated & ancient
Not worth it!!! They charge enormously to much for parking and the fake buffet breakfast ”
All cons no pros!!
Free Wi-Fi in all rooms!
