The place is just 5-minute walk away from the tram station. The staff are kind and friendly. The room is well-kept, restroom is well-lit and there's hot and cold water both in the sink and shower. Great value for money!
Thank you so much for taking the time to give us a review, and a very nice one ! We do our best to give our guests the best value for money and we hope you will consider staying with us again.
Value for money”
The hotel is just 1 to 2-min walk to tram 57 that goes to the city. It’s 7 mins tram ride to Melbourne Central station and about 12 mins to Flinders St. Elizabeth St. station. It’s also about 10 to 15-min walk to Queen Victoria Market. The location is convenient for their rate. The hotels within the city are way too expensive. They also have a kitchen complete with facilities and utensils as well as a laundry room. The staff were helpful and friendly specially Erika. The hotel has no elevator so you have to request for a ground floor if you have a difficulty climbing stairs.
Great place to stay! ”
The Miami may be older but it's a great value. The room was clean and beds very comfortable. Staff were very friendly and helpful. There's no elevator but the stairs aren't steep. The kitchen was great, fully stocked but I wish it had black pepper and perhaps paper towels. Small fridge in room was very helpful too. A short 10 minute walk to the free city tram, although there is a stop outside the free zone about a 2-minute walk to the hotel. And a short walk to the Queen Victoria market...buy your souvenirs there! They're the cheapest in all of Melbourne, but check out the stalls first. Some places sell the same things but different prices! I would definitely stay at Tge Miami if I go back to Melbourne.
Valued money!!! And excellent service.”
This place is small little place but the hotel staff are all helpful and always happy to help you!! We booked the hotel in the morning just few minute before we called and ask if we can leave our bags at hotel before checkin time... it was 9 am in the morning, we only ask to leave our bag but the staff asked if we could wait for 10 minutes our room will be ready and she will check us in! We weren’t expecting that but really nice of them to offer! We definitely going back next visit as when we back from great ocean road we stayed in big hotel on Flinder and the service very trash and rude for 4.5 star hotel and this place just all you need for $90 few minutes walk from CBD!!!!
Homey Value for Money”
Hotel was very clean and homey. Location is few blocks away from Queen Victoria Market and from free tram station going to CBD. Front desk staff was nice and accommodating. There was housekeeping daily. Bathroom was well-maintained. As they say "home away from home"
Rooms are on the small side, but the shower/toilet recess is first class. A jug for tea/coffee making is all that's supplied. Sachets for tea /coffee, sugar, and milk. Limited cupboard/hanging space. Colour TV, and small fridge. Nice little cafe out front for breakfast only, but any number of eateries in Errol St about 100 mtrs away. Tram stop is 50 mtrs. Central heating in all rooms. 10 min from Flinders St station. Good value with 24hr reception, but car parking is $15 per night. Nothing flash, but affordable, clean, and comfortable.
1. Cheap; considering it' was Friday night that I stayed here. 2. Very, very clean - which I'm really impressed. 3. Comfortable bed and room.. 4. Stop No. 11 for tram no. 57 is just around the corner. Cons 1. Have to climb up the stairs - yup, I knew it before hand but still... 2. Not within or nearby free tram zone. 3. Temperature is controlled by the front desk.
Good budget place, emphases on Budget. Location is good, within the city. Faculties are OK, you get what you pay for. The most annoying thing was the limited speed & cap on the internet, does any one still do this at this time!!!
Very good deal for near CBD location and clean room”
Very Clean room and staffs are friendly. Quiet for sleeping. Very nice to have a Shared kitchen for cooking. Supermarket and some restaurants nearby. Just the room is a bit small for 2 luggage to open in the same time. And tram 57 is always full to get on all night.
The rooms were comfortable. The beds good. The bathrooms nice and clean. The room was not very big but it was completely adequate as you only sleep there as you will be out exploring all day. Right near tram stops. Can walk to market and town easily. Good value for money. Best assets are the staff, really friendly and helpful. No hesitation in recommending here.
Very pleasant stay in this hotel, staff very nice, very clean room, they change the towels every day, location little far from the CBD but easy access local tram 57. Value of money, kitchen facilities very appreciative
Great value and location”
Great value Hotel, has everything you need for an affordable, comfortable stay. The location in North Melbourne was a bonus, with easy access to Southern Cross Station, Etihad Stadium, Queen Victoria Markets and all transport links (North Melbourne Station and 57 Tram stop all within easy walking distance). Errol St shops, restaurants and cafes are all on your doorstep (try the Auction Rooms and Errols for a great feed), IGA for shopping...everything you need is close by. Clean, well equipped rooms and the communal kitchen / laundry are a plus too.
Pretty much perfect”
I stayed on my own for a week in a twin room and felt very safe. The room was clean and comfortable and the tea and coffee facilities and tv were a nice touch. The hotel is in a great location and it’s easy to walk into the city. As it’s in a quiet neighbourhood I wasn’t disturbed In or out of the hostel. The staff were great and very helpful and I would not hesitate to stay here again.
Cozy little hotel”
Only setback is no lift.Had a hard time carrying our luggages up and down the long flight of stairs.staffs are friendly.Location is just outside the free tram zone.its the cheapest hotel thats near bizness district.
Great Value for Money Hotel Close to Melbourne CBD”
We've had a pleasant stay in this hotel. The hotel has almost everything you need for a comfortable stay and the price is affordable comparing to those that are this close to the CBD. The beds are comfy, the bathroom is super clean and the service is great. Tram 57 to City is just a 1 minute walk from the hotel and it's only a 7-minute ride to Bourke St Mall on this tram. We also took bus 216 or 219 to Footscray, which is an ideal place for an Asian breakfast/lunch/brunch every morning, and it only took us less than 2 minute walk to the bus stop and a 10-minute ride on this bus. Overall it was a great experience staying at this hotel and there is nothing more we could ask for.
Had 5 nights in Miami Hotel - such a comfortable stay! There are 4P (free for 4 hours) parking lots just few steps away from the hotel which is very convenient for us renting a car. The hotel is a little to the north of the city, but trams are available for travelling. Thanks for the lotion provided in the room! Definitely saved my dry skin :)
Location is good! ”
Near free tram zone, very accessible and staff are also amazing. Big and clean rooms! Downside: no elevator and the staff won't offer any help to carry your luggage upstairs.
Location wise was good. Near the city. One thing is just that you can’t control the air conditioned by yourself. But overall it was a comfortable stay.
Nice & clean hotel with friendly staffs and 10 minutes to Melbourne CBD by tram ”
We stayed this hotel for 3 nights. The hotel location is great what able to connect to Melbourne CBD by tram no.57. The tram stop is only 250 m from hotel. It used only 10 minutes to get city center. In addition, we can walk by 10 minutes from hotel to Queen Victoria Market. The room was cleaned and well equipped as well as shower room inside. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel had kitchen room what we can cook our own food. The hotel fare was very cheaper than hotel in CBD. We were appreciated !
Enjoyed our complete 8 days of stay, great experience !”
Miami hotel turned out to be a surprise. Any business get's its name by people and IT HAS got Excellent staff, helpful, tidy and prompt. I do not have any point to say NO for staying again at Miami. Southern Cross station (Spencer st) is at walking distance (1.5 km): https://goo.gl/maps/YVUjZdZr9qD2 grocery cum vegetable store: SUPA IGA North Melbourne is just 3 minutes walk to miami and has all the things available (open 7 AM to 10 PM) helped us to use community kitchen (shared). Map: https://goo.gl/maps/ZmW9Tons2S82 For us being vegetarian, kitchen was the most important point before we book a place. Room service, towels and WiFi , all were good. Thanks and keep up the good service Miami !
