Just the right place”
The hotel was excellent for our stay. We were in Paris for one night and needed a hotel near the Gare Du Nord. The room was small but was clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. The Midnight Hotel is situated on a busy street but it was very quiet in the room. The deor throughout the hotel is tasteful. The staff were really helpful and let us leave our luggage there while we walked around Paris before getting our train. They even gave us a much needed cup of tea to send us on our way. The hotel is well situated for restaurants and the local market is very good. The price was a steal. A great last minute choice.

Perfect modern clean hotel”
We arrived early at our hotel and we're treated by the hotel desk. Left our bags at the front desk then hit the city touring. We got back to the hotel and checked into our room. We were pleasantly surprised with the room. It was a good sized room, modern finishes and clean. It had a great sized bathroom with a shower. The room had a double bed, aircon, flat screen television and plenty of space for our luggage. The hotel has had a major revamp and has been very well executed with fantastic finishes in the rooms. We chose the hotel for its location. It. Is a 5 minute walk to the closest tube station Gare de l'Est and a 5 minute walk up the road to the Gare du Nord station to catch the Eurostar train. This was perfect for us as we needed to catch the Eurostar to London from Paris. Overall loved the hotel and would stay there again.

Hotel is only a 5 minute walk from Gare du Nord or a 2 minute walk from Gare de L’est so location is fantastic. Plenty of restaurant choices in the vicinity.

Location near the train station gate but feeling insecure with the environment outside”
The Location is quite close to train station gate either to Gare du Nord and Gare de L'est...Actually the room is quite ok even just have limited space for placing luggage but we were feeling insecure with the environment outside the hotel...The facility is good enough, they have lift even only enough for 2 person with luggage...The receptionist also quite helpful...Since the rate still on budget, have lift and near to train station, overall it is okey for group and young people to stay there, but not for family with children...

Very nice hotel, less than nice neighborhood”
The shower and bed were the best we had throughout our stay in europe. For the price we got the room was wonderful. It had "normal" european items such as lots of stairs and a small elevator but was very manageable. The walls were very thin and we could hear the room next to us being very loud at 2am. Additionally it was odd that we were required to leave our key at the front desk anytime that we went out(and that no ID was checked to get it back). The location, while very close to GDN and other metro stops, was not in a neighborhood we felt completely comfortable walking in late at night. To be clear at no point was there any incident but we felt we needed to be on "high" alert while walking. We also stayed in the marias(sp?) and that was a completely different feeling.

Pretty nice hotel, but receptionists were unwilling to work”
We had some requests for the reception of the hotel, but it seemed that they didn't want to make life difficult for themselves. We requested, before and after our arrival, to have twin beds in our room. The receptionists didn't bother any of those times, even after telling them that we wouldn't mind going to a more expensive room and paying the difference. The last day, we requested to check out an hour later than expected. We were told that it wasn't possible, that the hotel was full. Why was that a problem? Wouldn't have it made more sense to consult the check-in hour of the next guests to see if it was actually possible? Again the lack of interest of the receptionists in doing a good job. In short, we had the impression that the receptionists were working reluctantly and they didn't worry enough about their guests. Although there were small problems in our room with the cistern of the toilet and the screen of the shower, the room and the experience overall were good.

Close to Train Stations: Gare DuNord n Gare DeEast”
We stayed there because it was close to the public transport station, especially Gare Du Nord and Gare De East. If you have an early flight the next day, this hotel would be a good place to stay, especially if you are on a budget. Hotel is ok, nothing great. For the price we pay? Well, we expected at least a good service. Service here is ok only. The rating for the food is incorrect. We had to rate it because the system asked us to eventhough we didnt opt for any food from the hotel.

A normal hotel with weak wi-fi, tidy room with better room cleaning service. An easy way to go everywhere due to a main train and metro station nearby. Many restaurants for your choice.Laundry shop is 30M from hotel.

an hotel unpretentious but clean and comfortable enough.very convenient for access within minutes to trains and subway.surroundings are full of fast food and restaurants for all tastes (and all budgets).There are also small shops for the needs' of everyday.

Nice well managed hotel near station. Location good for taking metro in east station (there is an alley on other side of the street to the station directly). Nighttime walking around in the area (station) is a bit intimidating, better use taxi.

Rough Area”
The hotel was overall good but the location between the two main train stations while convenient, the area is very rough and I felt unsafe at times. Would recommend for short stays if you are just coming in or out of the trains and the hotel is recommended as it is close to trains, but our 5 day stay was too long for that neighbourhood and we wouldn't stay in that area again

Not so plesant stay”
It was overall a not too pleasant stay. The lift was super small, which only could accomodate 1 person with luggage at a time. The staff there were not too helpful either. If i ever travel back to Paris again, I would surely not stay at the same hotel again. There were not even hot water to drink.

Older Hotel with great view of the street”
This was a slightly shabby hotel but had everything you could need. We were lucky to get the 5th floor and the double windows looked out onto the bustling street. It was quite noisy but when the windows closed the noise was minimal. There was a lot of noise in the morning from inside the hotel though. Lots of banging and doors slamming. The hotel lift was slightly scary and we just fit in with the 2 of us and our backpacks. We are not big people either!!!

Just a room”
The reception showed promise of a nice stay. However, after that it became rather tiring. We were delayed for checkin for 1.45 hours as there was only one staff member cleaning. Upon receiving our room key, we entered the room to find a step immediately in the door. I took a fall, causing brusing and abrasions. I contacted reception and was informed its an old hotel and it was my fault. I accepted this, however safety notices of drops and other health and safety issue would have been nice. I asked reception for details to get medical assistance (doctor or nearby pharmacy) the staff member suddenly could not speak English. I asked to speak to the manager, however he went home. The next day I asked to speak to the manager and he was not in. No back up inquiries to my situation. There was no mention that the hotel is under refurbishment, so power tools from early in the morning until 5pm. I am a smoker, however I found the refurb workers smoking in the work areas a little disturbing. Overall: good location, OK room. stay a night or two, but it is not a holiday hotel, Just a room
