Pod 39
Midtown East,Midtown East - View on map
"Room was small but adequate and clean. Although carpet had a little damp smell. Bathroom was great - besides the shower curtain. Not much natural light comes in to the room (no sunlight) as my room was facing inwards into a courtyard. The rooftop bar is great, as is the hotel's restaurant and bar downstairs. I was staying on my own, but the glass doors - although frosted might be an issue if staying with others for privacy. I would stay here again. "

"My stay at Pod 51 was super worth it because the place is so accessible to everything. They have the best roof top view perfect for instagram feed. One of the most minimalist concepts that I actually like. "

Dylan Hotel
Midtown East,Midtown East - View on map
"Perfectly located hotel in Midtown of NYC. The hotel was exceptionally clean and King Size room I had was very neatly maintained and clean and once I had a problem with shower, it was repaired in the middle of the night in a few minutes after I reported the damage. As a single person traveling with a two friends who stayed in different locations, I felt that they were always welcome to drop by, that me and my belongings are safe. Enjoyed natural kindness and professionalism of staff I had opportunity to meet. Those are Randy, Cashawna, Nelson, Jose.... and few other more I managed to forget their names. The hotel has a personal touch and communication with its guests is very nice, friendly. I cannot say that something stood off for me. I got all what was necessary during my nine days staying at hotel Dylan and would recommend it to people who want to explore NYC by foot, business people for shorter stays than mine, all those who like to be in the middle of this vibrant city."

Seton Hotel
Midtown East,Midtown East - View on map
"We stayed at the Seton during a trip to NYC for business. We found it a charming place, with several particularly strong points: * This was one of the best rates I could find in midtown NYC during holiday season for what looked online like a good off-brand hotel. * The hotel staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. * The room key is a physical, actual key that you leave at the front desk, European style. It means you get to have a conversation instead of not engaging with anybody. * The room was very clean and well-made up, It had nice, chic decor and was ample for our needs. * Part of being an economy hotel is that there is no restaurant or room service. But there are many restaurants of all descriptions nearby. A decently-priced hotel in a good location that ISN'T a big chain."

InterContinental New York Barclay Hotel

"The hotel is beautiful. The rooms were spacious and super comfortable. Everything was very classy and clean. My only issue was when we had a couple of issues and the staff attitude/ knowledge wasn’t there. I couldn’t make an international call from my room and was told 2 different things by 2 different people including they were having phone issues. On closer inspection by myself in the room, the plug had come lose from the wall! My brother couldn’t get into his room on day 2 and was told he didn’t have a reservation. I called down as made the booking. I was told I was speaking too fast, was spoken over then placed on hold and transferred to an answer machine!! I had to go downstairs to rectify this issue which wasn’t actually an issue. Also it was my brothers 50th birthday which they were aware of but nothing additional give - no upgrade no chocolates nothing which was disappointing as lady next to us at check in got a larger room offered as having issues with her booking! More about Midtown East

Midtown Manhattan is north of Times Square, and together with this district it offers some of the best commercial diversions in New York City. By some estimates, this is the busiest central business district in the entire country, and it attracts many tourists and shoppers. One of the most popular attractions in Midtown is the Ed Sullivan Theater, next to Columbia University.

The attractions and hotels in Midtown are spread between important intersections, Fifth and Sixth avenues as well as Broadway. Visitors do well to choose a place to stay based on where they plan on spending most of their time. Many of the most popular sites are to the east around Park and Madison Avenues. These include the iconic American Girl Place and the Disney Store, both of which are bursting with Americana.

There are many fine-arts institutes around. These include the American Craft Museum, Dahesh Museum of Art, Forum Gallery Inc and Garth Clark Gallery Inc. Educational institutions like Interboro Institute and the Art Students League of New York support the local fine arts scene.

Accommodation in Midtown East is pricier than that to the west. Guests are within walking distance of upmarket departments and glitzy commercial areas, but this is only a guideline. It’s certainly possible to find bargains on both sides of the divide. Midtown West caters heavily for tourists, so there’s a better range of prices and more sightseeing to do.
