Best hotels & accommodations in Midtown East

The location of the hotel is really great, you can travel to any part of manhattan easily because it's really close to the grand central and you can even walk to some midtown sites. I like it very much and maybe I'll come back sometime except it's a little expensive though. What I must recommend is that the bed is extremely soft and comfortable, the room size is defi...

Perfectly located hotel in Midtown of NYC. The hotel was exceptionally clean and King Size room I had was very neatly maintained and clean and once I had a problem with shower, it was repaired in the middle of the night in a few minutes after I reported the damage. As a single person traveling with a two friends who stayed in different locations, I felt that they were...

It is hard to beat the location of this hotel, between Fifth Avenue and Madison Avenue. We could walk everywhere. While there was no coffee maker or tea kettle in the room, hot water will be delivered on request - this is a complimentary service. We would definitely stay there again.

I have stayed in numerous properties in Midtown East and The Tuscany won me over with its generous room space for properties in similar category. The well equipped gymn is also quite impressive. What bothered me however, was the poor wifi connection in the rooms. I stayed in 2 different rooms over 2 different weekends and on both occassions I was not able to use my iPad...

I stayed overnight for business and would absolutely stay there again. Great location for walking to midtown, while staying out of the chaos. I lowered my facility score only because there is no restaurant/room service and any other amenities (that I saw). Which was fine for me since I was just there for work, but it may make a difference for a leisure trip. Lovely st...

the hotel is in a central location, (42nd st east),within easy walking distance to grand central station, times square etc. the rooms were beautifully presented & the continental breakfast offered was first class, in great surroundings. staff were courteous & efficient, although not overly warm in their presentation. it would have been nice to have had free wifi ava...

Although I love the location of the Roosevelt, the room was tiny; the bathroom was tiny and needed updating. I had been in Florida the previous weekend at a hotel on the beach (good location) with a spacious room and good size bathroom with updated amenities for a lot less than what I paid for 1 night at the Roosevelt. I've stayed at the Roosevelt in the past, but fo...

If you are looking for an inexpensive (for midtown Manhattan), secure, and clean place to stay, this is it. Single room is very small but quite adequate. Shared bathrooms and showers are immaculate. You also have access to the recreation center and pool. Only complaint is a very noisy heating system with very loud clanking pipes that awoke me almost hourly. Staff is ...

Clean boutique hotel - centrally located - near subway station. Right in Midtown - convienent for business travel. Fantastic door man - able to speak variety of language - even Mandarin. He is an asset to the hotel property. His ability to lighten up the days for many. Keep up the great job.

When you consider how noisy Manhattan is, it is surprising how quiet this lovely hotel is. We liked the little kitchenette, comfy beds, and no stale cigarette smell. Location was excellent for our needs. Will definitely try to stay here next time.

Overall, a very nice stay - about 2 blocks east of Grand Central and about a block to the Airporter Bus station and the Metro, which takes you everywhere. We were two families and the hotel was very accommodating in getting us on the same floor at the last minute (36th), and one of the rooms had a nice view of mid-town. Staff in the hotel and the adjacent bar/restauran...

Boutique hotel Big on customer service and personal attention Remarkably accommodating They actually put us in the wrong room. The host profusely apologized, then shortly after helping us move to another room, came back with 2 vouchers for dinner - not a desert or a cocktail - dinner. Will definitely come back. Missing their piping hot and complimentary all day c...

This is by far and large the best Hotel experience I have had in Manhattan. This is cute boutique hotel, well designed, clean, artsy and overall amazing. I enjoyed my night here as I did the style of the room. I had breakfast in the restaurant in the morning - some really delicious African toast with a mimosa and a cup of cappuccino. Ah, I will be back!

All staff were very friendly and helpful especially Michael. Location is good in mid town on the east side and slightly away from Lex ad Park so it's very quiet in the night time. Walking distance (3 mins) to Grand Central station and make commute a much more easier. Many restaurants, deli & even Shake Shack are nearby. It makes this place is very convenient. Alth...

The hotel is beautiful. The rooms were spacious and super comfortable. Everything was very classy and clean. My only issue was when we had a couple of issues and the staff attitude/ knowledge wasn’t there. I couldn’t make an international call from my room and was told 2 different things by 2 different people including they were having phone issues. On closer inspecti...

This Hotel and the staff were amazing always so friendly and acknowledged you every time they seen you. I travel a lot everywhere in the US and outside the country and the level of professionalism and friendliness was so good. The staff was was so nice and friendly. They were so attentive and welcoming. I have never stayed anywhere that I got this kind of service, not ...

We stayed at the Seton during a trip to NYC for business. We found it a charming place, with several particularly strong points: * This was one of the best rates I could find in midtown NYC during holiday season for what looked online like a good off-brand hotel. * The hotel staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. * The room key is a physical, actual key that...

I had stayed in this apartment from the 30th Sept - 30th Oct 2016. My booking was for a studio apartment but when I arrived I was informed that my room was upgraded to a Junior Suite Apt without any extra payment because all the studio apartments had been rented out. In terms of location, this place is excellent because it is right in the city centre and close to many ...

we stayed for 7 nights and i couldn't fault the hotel. the room was large stylish and always kept clean. the staff were always friendly, polite and helpful. the cocktails in the monkey bar were great too. we looked forward to breakfast every morning with juice fruit salad and toast. the hotel is also walking distance from all the attractions in midtown.

Wyndham Midtown is located in a convenient area of Midtown as you can walk to the Grand Central station and there are many Deli stores nearby. I would warn people planning to stay at the hotel to expect problems during check in. Since the hotel seems to have guests from Wyndham membership program, the reception assumes that you are their membership program guest and do...

We stayed for four nights in October this year to celebrate my wife's birthday, first time in New York. located just off park avenue on east 55th, this hotel offers a perfect stop over for 3-5 days for guests more concerned with being outdoors and walking the streets than lapping up luxury and not experiencing the true ny experience. rooms are clean, well appointed and have all you need for a family trip. location-wise, just about 5 small city blocks from central park as...

With two teen boys, we didn't want a family room in a hotel - and two doubles in a hotel of good enough quality for 11 nights would've been pricey. Besides, we wanted to live like New Yorkers! This apartment hotel didn't disappoint: unusually spacious by NYC standards, in a very convenient Midtown Manhattan location near the Waldorf, Grand Central, Fifth Ave, Chrysler ...

Very disappointing. The key pick up takes more than an hour - it's not easy to find and is not in a very nice area. It says that Midtown East Apartments is at 250 East 52nd St, but that address is a Japanese Restaurant. I was stranded in the street, tired from hauling my bag through the subway, and had no idea where to go. Luckily, the guy at the restaurant was use...

Upscale boutique suite hotel located at Park Avenue and 56th Street in Midtown Manhattan. The prestigious address places the hotel within walking distance of major corporations, restaurants, theatres, museum-mile and New York City’s finest shopping. If you’re looking for luxury boutique suite hotels in New York City then The Lombardy Suite Hotel is the place for you.

I loved everything about this hotel The location was one block from grand central station. The staff were friendly and helpful. The ambiance was delightful, books to read, a reading room, wine and cheese each evening at 5pm, free coffee throughout the day. What more could you ask for.

More about Midtown East
The attractions and hotels in Midtown are spread between important intersections, Fifth and Sixth avenues as well as Broadway. Visitors do well to choose a place to stay based on where they plan on spending most of their time. Many of the most popular sites are to the east around Park and Madison Avenues. These include the iconic American Girl Place and the Disney Store, both of which are bursting with Americana.
There are many fine-arts institutes around. These include the American Craft Museum, Dahesh Museum of Art, Forum Gallery Inc and Garth Clark Gallery Inc. Educational institutions like Interboro Institute and the Art Students League of New York support the local fine arts scene.
Accommodation in Midtown East is pricier than that to the west. Guests are within walking distance of upmarket departments and glitzy commercial areas, but this is only a guideline. It’s certainly possible to find bargains on both sides of the divide. Midtown West caters heavily for tourists, so there’s a better range of prices and more sightseeing to do.
