Excellent Location and Nicely Renovated”
Located just 5 minutes from the airport and centrally located in town made Midtown a great choice. My first impression was positive. As soon as you walk in the front door, you’ll notice it’s nicely painted and appears to have been recently renovated throughout. The staff was nice, helpful, and arranged everything. The restaurant food was homemade and 100% Filipino that gave me that authentic experience I was looking for. My only knock was no WiFi which was a bit inconvenient. However that wouldn’t stop me from booking there again because of the great location and cleanliness of the hotel. I also want to note the staff assisted me in renting a scooter, bypassing all those expensive tours. Toured the entire island for a quarter of the price. We had a blast stopping in each province where foreigners rarely ever visited. We were welcomed by all.

Fina at the front desk is very knowledgeable, accommodating and friendly. She set up our tour and massages, and other requests. On a side note, we also got an awesome guide, Felix. We didn't have transport waiting for us at Sabtang. From what I was told, the hotel staff set it up through a text message but there was no confirmation from their Sabtang contact. We were lucky we still got one at the pier that Felix arranged upon our arrival. We then changed our vehicle to the one pre-arranged at Savidug. That's why I'm giving a 4 for the staff rating. Meal choices are limited. And you can really observe how sparingly fruit is served. I do not count this against them. You have to understand that Batanes is an island far from the main islands and is typhoon-ridden. Fruits and veggies that are common to us are not that common to them. We asked Felix what their main dish, side dish, best dessert is and it's all sweet potato! Obviously a root crop that is less unaffected by typhoons!

Great location in Basco proper. Restaurant inside the hotel is great, lobster is available. They served breakfast on time which is very nice because tour schedule are always very early in the morning. No wifi during our stay, but mobile data has a strong signal, staff are very courteous and friendly. Highly recommended.

Walking distance from most of top of the list restaurants. But Midtown offers better-tasting menu than some of these top of the list restaurants. Staff are extremely courteous. Will definitely go back here.

The Inn is right at the commercial street of Basco. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff was accommodating and even offered their tours and coordinated it. They have water refilling stations and the free breakfast was good. They also serve good food but if you want to try other restaurants, it is near Hudzan's, Beehan and HiroJoy Cafe. The capitol, pasalubong center and souvenir shops are also near the area. There is also a store right in front where you can buy food and other things in case you forgot to bring anything.

location and food is great. not for PWD or elderly though. clean room. towel change every 2 days. shower water pressure not strong. probably because of the shower head type. shower dial is too high. difficult to reach by children and people below 5ft tall. while bidet is too low.

i think this is the only best inn in the town. we enjoyed our stay here. the problem is the aircon. its noisy and dirty and mistake location of aircon because direct to your head, its give us headache in the morning, that is why we requested efan.

pros: right in the middle of commercial establishments, cafes, eateries, 5 min from Batanes airport a/c room with basic amenities: tv with 5-6 cable channels, hot water shower, clean linens and towels your stay includes plated breakfast (choice of tapsi, longsi, toci, maling, Spanish omelette,, with 3in1 coffee (pay extra 20 for refill) and a serving of banana or apple slices there's a water dispenser in ground & 2nd floor so bring a water bottle for unlimited refill cons: terrible acoustics - people talking in the hallway, opening/closing doors, people talking down the street, motorcycle sounds, and even the chopping of meat at the neighbor butcher shops are magnified several fold while in your room! I slept intermittently during my whole stay housekeeping never even bothered to ask me if I want the room cleaned they will only provide 2 small (teenie weenie) bar of soap, nothing else. staffs are tentative

Pros.Location.,clean floor Cons: Room designsecurity is not recommended.. The window lock in the toilet is broken in room 1.Noisy place as there is currently construction going on. Place and staff is not welcoming. I booked for 2 adults with breakfast for 3k.Unfortunately the time I checkin I am only a solo traveller.There is a choice pf breakfast I choose the 1 with rice breakfast and crave for the pancake breakfast.I politely asked if I can claim the pancake breakfast as i booked for 2 adults.The staff firmly declined and even say that they actually dont give breakfast to agoda customer it is only their management decision to provide breakfast and its only to those who is currently on the room who checkin. I am glad that I only stay for this hotel for 1 night during my 8 days stay in batanes.My 6 nights stay in a2 star lodge I only paid for 1k per night and compare to this they saying 4 star Inn I think I will not comeback to this Midtown inn This is an honest review.

Midtown Inn, as the name suggests, is in the middle of Basco. In the vicinity are the Mary Immaculate Cathedral, Provincial Capitol, City Hall and their plaza/park, various dining places, and souvenir shops. The airport is just a 10-min leisure drive from the hotel/Inn. It's a good starting point for both the North and South Batan Island Tour. The only minor flaw is the slightly weak water pressure at the 3rd floor and a tight shower area in our assigned room. All the staff are courteous, friendly and accommodating. For our 5-day stay, our room was always kept even if we did not request it. Better if they provide free bottled water in the room, although potable cold drinking water is always available in their dining area at the ground floor. Just provide your own water bottle for refilling to bring it in your room. Food is delicious and relatively cheap which is good for 2-3 pax per order. Everything is P200/order.hahaha
