Great place to stay”
Mile Map hostel We used the Mile Map Hostel as a stop over in Bangkok before flying out of Thailand the room we booked was a family room that sleeps 4 although we are are a family of five and our 4 year old son is still happy to sleep in our bed. We arrived in Bangkok by bus from Ayutthaya, so we made our way from the Mo Chit bus station on the Metro system to Si Lom station and then walked to the hostel as we managed to get a little lost, if the are at Si Lom Station you can catch a number 15 bus which is free or a tuk tuk or taxi of course. The hotel is located right by the Hindu temple Sri Maha Mariamman so always quite busy around the area and easy to find. The rooms are basic clean and look good as well, the room we had didn't have a window but this wasn't an issue for us. The shared bathroom was large and so no issues with waiting for others, the staff were friendly and helpful, there is also an equipped kitchen and a laundry if needed. We were at the mile map during the New Years holiday so when we were there was a lot of businesses closed but there were still good cheap places to eat across the main road in the street opposite. Overall a nice well styled hostel which is clean and tidy with helpful staff. After we left this hostel we discovered that we had left my sons Teddy at the hostel, so we contacted the Mile map and they kindly shipped it on for us, which we were extremely great full for!

Decent place to base yourself to explore Bangkok”
Mile Map Hostel has a great vibe and is in a really convenient location for exploring Bangkok—you are close to the sky train, and can even walk to Pattapong and other areas with very lively nightlife, and the street it's located on has some great Indian restaurants and lots of great street food during the day which is cheap and tasty. It's a great place to unwind and escape Bangkok's madness, while still being close enough to get where you want to without a big hassle. But we had two major problems with the hostel: 1) The WiFi was atrocious; frequently being incredibly slow and other times just not allowing us to connect at all; 2) The private rooms are the most expensive but are placed closest tot he common area. One night we were kept up from 3-5am because a group of drunk backpackers were hanging out there and loudly talking and yelling. For $35/night, I expect to be able to enjoy my room! So, really, if you're staying in the dorm, it's probably better than getting the private room as I can't say we found our time very relaxing due to the noise of fellow guests.

a well designed backpacker hostel”
we had a great stay in Mile Map Hostel. the first impression was a colorful design lobby. The staff were very good in English and friendly. We booked for mixed dorm for 3 persons, but They upgraded our room into a Family room. The bed was comfortable, the shared bathroom is separated for men and women. and another thing which is cool in this hostel is that they have a smoking area on the rooftop.

Exceptional”
There was a mix up when we arrived so our room was no longer available. Mile Map anticipated the issue and set is up at their sister hostel for the night at a lesser amount, and paid the taxi fare to get us there and back We ended up returning to Mile Map the following night as a result. Basic accommodations in a good location. It was just what we needed. Thanks Mile Map!

Great hostel and facilities, super clean, great staff”
We enjoyed staying in Silom, and thought the location of Mile Map was excellent. The room was nicely decorated (Ikea style), clean, and the beds super comfy. After one night they offered us a family room with natural light, which was even better. The bathrooms were clean and adequate, there was drinking water and a laundry area. The kitchen was well equipped. The only improvement I would made would be to get a shelf for the fridge, lol! The staff were super helpful and friendly and spoiled our daughter as well :)

Exceptional”
Overall - Nice hostel with clean room and bathroom. Strong wifi and walking distance to nearest station. The room is simple (I like the drawing in the toilet) and the fact that they try their best to meet my request - twin bed (thank you Mile Map Hostel!!!). Will definitely stay here again.

Great place with charm ”
Mile Map Hostel in Silom is a great place to stay if you're looking for a chill vibe, clean rooms, decent bathrooms, free wifi & AC on a low budget! Plus, it is close to public transport (BTS train) and markets. Great location that's close the action but not too crazy and the staff was super helpful. Overall, it was a very good experience and would certainly stay there again!

Economical stay for embassy visit”
I book this hotel for people in my organization who need to visit the Myanmar Embassy, which is within walking distance. I have never stayed here myself, but our people always request to stay at Mile Map Hostel. So, it must be what they want!

welcoming environment and close to what you need! ”
my last 3 days of travelling before i went back home had to be in bangkok and Mile Map made it a nice stay because i was close to good local food (and lots of vegetarian stuff too in the area if you like), a good street market just opposite the main road where i could buy fruit and food. the staff were very helpful, even helping me find a taxi and letting me know that the first one that stopped wanted too much money. i'm glad i found this place and will go back to it whenever i am in bangkok

Good location, simple rooms”
mile map is a 5-7 minute walk to the sky train, so access to the rest of the city was fairly easy/inexpensive, and the location is on a low-traffic street so it's a nice location if you don't want to be right in the middle of a busy road. rooms are simple but good (concrete floors and sheetrock walls). the staff was also very helpful, which made asking questions easy and convenient. there is a fantastic malaysian restaurant on the same street, so if you stay there i would highly recommend going there for a meal. we stayed in one of the private rooms and the room was good, although the walls were thin so just expect some noise from the lobby and bring earplugs and you should be fine. the only other thing we noticed is that the smell of the plumbing was strong at times - not sure if that was just our room or if it was throughout the building. overall good value, i'd definitely recommend staying here for budget travelers.

lovely place with reasonable price”
I love the bed of Mile Map Hostel very much! It's so comfortable with such a reasonable price! Although the location of this hostel is not excellent but it is good. There are some rooms without windows seems to be not fresh.

Excellent”
Pros: Good location in Silom near great street food (Silom Soi 20 across the street), and also next to a hindu temple and mosque. Cheap DIY laundry - probably the cheapest I've seen anywhere in SE Asia. Interesting map theme. Cons: No window in room. Only 1 gender bathroom per floor so you may need to go up/down to use the bathroom.

Back then, I feel like home”
I stayed at Mile Map for few days, 10 beds room. This was my first time to stay at a dorm. I was surprised that the room was much better than what I expected. It was clean and tidy, and the bed was comfortable. Wifi was available throughout the room for free. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. They also speak with very fluent English. I was impressed. I did my check-in at 11pm, because there was always someone at the counter, 24/7, I did not need to be in rush catching the taxi.

Location not bad, single room basic”
My 1st time in a single, ensuite room inside a hostel. Could have been cheaper (some actual hotels, not hostels, have comparable rates but I wanted this particular location). Abt 12 mins' walk to Chong Nonsi or Surasak (going to airport with luggage? Surasak is better because there's an escalator up to the BTS, though no "down"). Older people might find this distance a bit much, plus no lift in the hostel, & single rooms are on the 5th flr... quite a trudge! Positives: (1) clean room & bath; (2) bed = comfortable; (3) room relatively quiet (unlike a normal youth hostel, as others have noted... Maybe Mile Map attracts older guests or those who don't party as much); (4) Staff nice. Negatives: (1) shared fridge was small, & no shelves inside (if you bought anything, you'd have to stack it on top of other stuff). (2) single ensuite rooms should have their own TABLE, CHAIR, KETTLE, & toiletries (I borrowed a chair from outside): these are provided in other places, & don't cost much!

My favourite hostel”
I've stayed in many hostels on my travels and this is probably the best one. It depends what you want in a hostel and what kind of traveller you are but for me - the solo wanderer, late 30's, not into party scene - this suited me. Staff are courteous, there are kitchen facilities - even a hob (but please get a shelf for the fridge! 😂) and the price is really good too! With really high ceilings and pared down décor in the dorms there's a real relaxing vibe.

Great value”
Mile map is clean and calm. Tucked in silom it is within walking distance to ferry, sky train, the park, and many other market/shopping attractions. Not necessarily a mega party hostel but that's more of the vibe I prefer. I'm actually writing this from the hostel because I decided to come back and stay another night in between traveling!

very intimate, people are very nice”
This is probably the best hostel in Bangkok i will say, it doesnt have all those fancy location, or pool or tv room, or restaurant, but there r so many friendly young people around, most r world travellers who have so many awesome stories to tell. its like home.
