Stay at Millennium Biltmore Hotel”

The hotel was absolutely beautiful.
The bathrooms appear to be slightly outdated - mainly the showers.

The Millennium Biltmore is a beautiful old Hollywood hotel. It was beautifully decorated for Christmas and all of the staff members were extremely nice and helpful. The rooms were adequately sized and the bed was very comfortable. I would recommend packing your bathing suit to take advantage of the indoor swimming pool as well as the steam room and sauna. The price I found on Agoda could not be beat - as it is hard to find a hotel for that price in any city.

Has seen better days”

Convenient location, beautiful common areas
Older rooms, noisy air conditioning

Located in the heart of downtown Los Angeles, it is a convenient location. The rooms re small, older, and non very well maintained. Floors were cracked, chipping paint, etc. The air conditioner was very noisy and I kept waking up from the noise, even though my earplugs. I would have expected more from the price. Employees were very gracious and willing to help.

Biltmore Review”

Fantastic history; excellent food; great selection of wine; customer service superb.
Just that rooms are old and still kind of smell like cigarette smoke. But it's an old hotel.

My stay at the Millenium Biltmore was absolutely grand - just as the Biltmore is. The history of the building is fantastic. The food is excellent and they have a great selection of wines. The customer service is superb. Special thanks to James for opening the ballroom for me to view! When I visit downtown LA again, I will stay at the Millenium Biltmore!

Great hotel in downtown LA”

Building was gorgeous

Millemium Biltmore was a great - it was in the heart of downtown LA and we could walk to all major attractions. It was very exciting when we were staying there as they were filming a tv series. The building is gorgeous and rooms had heritage. I would reccommend this hotel to all travellers.

great old hotel”

Beautiful, evocative. elegant hotel with the glamour of l923. Just walking the corridors and sitting in the lobby was a going back in time experience. The room we had was large and most comfortable. And downtown LA is a most well designed area. Events at Disney Hall and the Theatre centre are a few blocks away and there is a subway and bus if one needs to go further. This was our 4th stay at the hotel and we intend to return soon.
The bath tub had some chips but was otherwise clean and kept up. On some of our previous visits we had a larger bathroom.

We have stayed at the Biltmore 4 times and always have come away wanting to return. It is all that a grand old hotel should be...elegant public rooms, large comfortable bedrooms, great location both for walking and attending music and theatre events. Probably one of our favorite hotels in the world and at such a great price through Agoda.

great location with interesting history”

room availble immediately, nicely decorated

the Biltmore is a grand old lady of hotels in the heart of downtown LA. I thought the hotel had done a good job of preserving the past and introducing new amenities. My room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. Couldn't ask for more.

Nice antique hotel”

An antique hotel located in downtown LA. The lobby is astonishing. The equipement is adequate. Great doormen and bellmen service. Rooms have been renovated so everything are in good condition.
1. 9.95 charge for internet access per day. 2.$40 for parking per day. Glad that I borrow an extra parking card in another parking structure.

The hotel is located in downtown LA. However, although extra expense is expected, $40 parking per day is simply out of my budget. Due to bring my work with me, it is necessary to get access to the internet. They charge $9.95 per 24hrs so that would be another almost $30 expense for my 3-nights stay. Other than that. It is breath taking everytime to step in the spectecular lobby. The hotel is beautiful, stating the history of downtown LA. The doorman and bellman are polite and helpful, while the staff in reception seem to be a little bit cold. Overall a nice and pleasant stay for they say the price I got is pretty good.

great location : 20 min away from little tokyo or the moca, in-door swimming pool, very large hotel room, staff very helpful

i was very pleased with my stay at the biltmore. the rooms were very clean and big. the staff was always helpful and willing to give directions the fitness center was very convenient, the in-door swimming pool long enough to do laps and very few people actually using it the location of the hotel was actually quite convenient. it was easy to walk about: moca and disney concert hall 15 min away, little tokyo 20 min away, movie theaters 25 min away

Amazing Biltmore”

Great Downtown location. Lots of history. Pool and Gym facilities were great. Walking distance to the Staples Center.
Parking Cost. Could park a next door for half the cost but no in/out.

I only spend one night at the Biltmore but in hindsite I sould have stayed longer. The location was good. The downtown core shuts down early but there if you want to go to a hockey game or go out to dinner there are options. Booked my agoda and saved alot of money.

Biltmore Experience”

Great location to downtown events, Nokia Theater, Staples, Center, etc. Very friendly staff.
Rooms are older. Bathrooms are incredibly outdated and dingy. Musty smell in the hallways.

We were attending an event at the Nokia Theater and thought the Biltmore would be a good choice. We needed an early check-in and the staff was very accommodating. Friendly and helpful employees - especially the front desk and the bell staff. The rooms are good. Great bedding and comfortable pillows. The rooms are old, however and the bathrooms are not very good. Very outdated and "dingy". There's also a slight "musty" smell in the hallways. Be careful what day you stay as some of the hotel restaurants are not open on Sunday.

A hotel with history”

Wonderful architecture and history. Good downtown LA location.
No free wi-fi. Parking is $40 a night (I slept for less than triple that amount).

The hotel has wonderful history, and architecture. The Academy Awards were presented here for several years in the heyday of Hollywood. The lobby and other public areas are spectacular, and there's more Art Deco as you go outside and walk around this downtown LA area. My room also had interesting architectural features, though it did not have the furniture to match. Under the big built-in area for a couch there was only a small table with the ice bucket and coffee maker. Hard to believe in this day and age that they're still charging extra for wi-fi. I just heard a business lecture about never staying where you have to pay for such service.

Excellent choice for transportation”

- central location with all transportation links, - magnificent public parts, large room, - very large sauna, hammam and swimming pool, - Agoda rate for this hotel was lower than any other comparable hotel downtown.
- the windows are so old they won't open, but still let all wind and street sound in ! - onsite restaurants are not appealing (more banquet rooms than romantic setting for 2)

We decided to visit L.A. using only subway and bus, so a downtown location was an absolute priority. And this hotel has a perfect location (subway line and lots of buses right outside the hotel). We really enjoyed their spa area, even if it's a bit outdated, like everything in this hotel. But at the end, the "everything's old" feeling turned into a pleasant atmosphere, making us feel back in the glorious 30's. Restaurants on site are not interesting, but you'll find all you need just walking distance. And despite many reviews we read about Downtown LA, we found the area very safe.

Lovely Historic Place”

I enjoyed my stay. The room and staff were friendly and helpful. The location in downtown L.A. is very convenient if you have business downtown and want to be within walking distance of the major bank buildings or legal offices. On the other hand, if that's the purpose of your stay, then the hotel's huge deficiency is that it doesn't have a business office where you can do copying or printing. The lobby has a very meager computer-printer set-up that can be used basically to print boarding passes but not much else. Also, the hotel's only restaurant is open only for breakfast. There is a bar where you can get food in the evenings, but the food there that we tried was disappointing. There is a Metro station about a block away. If your purpose is vacation with a lot of fun things to do nearby, downtown L.A. is not the best place to be, even in a grand old hotel with lots of history.

Beautiful hotel, helpful staff, huge room and clean

my boyfriend and i are business partners and stayed here during a business trip to la. very beautiful hotel - the lobby is amazing. the hotel staff were very helpful and even happily directed us to the much cheaper self-park lot across the street. our room was huge and everything was very clean. in opposition to another review i read on here, the water pressure in our shower was the best i've ever experienced! only thing i could have asked for was bottles of water in the room, but that is a small want. would definitely stay here again!

The hotel is absolutely beautiful. The Christmas decorations were wonderful and charming. All the staff members where helpful and kind.

This was our first stay in Downtown LA. We arrived at 5:30 am from Hawaii and appreciated being allowed to check in our luggage while touring the city. The front desk agent also made it possible for us to check in at 10:30 am instead of the the standard 3:00pm. Having being on a long flight we were grateful to freshen up early. On our second day the concierge was very helpful with planning our Hollywood tour. My experience here was a great one!! In Hawaii we would call this aloha spirit. I am recommending this hotel to all of my friends and family.

Old but a good hotel overall”

The Decor/interior, the location, comfortable bed

I was initially a bit taken aback by the rooms and thought it was undeserving of the $180/night rate, however overall I was pleased with my stay. Hotel is old, but is clean, beautiful inside and provide necessary amenities. Good location for Downtown LA, particularly for the price, only a few blocks walk to LA Live/Staples Centre etc. Don't go hete if you're interested in spectacular room service or a view.
