We love the Knickerbocker!”
We always stay off Michigan Avenue when we go to Chicago and the Millennium Knickerbocker is our very favorite place to stay! Love Andre in the restaurant and the bar staff that has been there for years! Love the front door staff that!!!!!
Lovely hotel.”
the millenium knickerbrocker hotel chicago is a wonderful hotel and value. it is located in a very nice area of chicago near michigan avenue also referred to as the magnificant mile for great shopping and restaurants. the hotel itself has great amenities and a most comfortable bed. the service was very good.
Enjoyable stay...room very comfortable”
I would stay at the Millennium Knickerbocker Hotel again...given the opportunity. Staff very friendly at the front desk and most helpful for dinner recommendations.
Old World Charm!”
We appreciate the elegance of the Knickerbocker, especially since it was renovated several years ago. The lobby, lounge, and bar area are very nice, classy and elegant. The location is upscale. You can't beat the convenience of being at North Michigan Ave., with all that the Magnificent Mile has to offer.
Perfect location for shopping and sightseeing”
The hotel is literally 1 minute walk off Michigan Avenue, which is where you want to be when you spend a weekend in Chicago. You are at walking distance to the main shops, cares and restaurants, the waterfront and the cultural sights. The room was comfortable, clean, nicely decorated and quiet. Staff were friendly and efficient. We didn't have breakfast or dinner at the hotel so I can't rate the food/dining experience. Free wi-fi in the lobby, extortionate in the rooms. Definetily recommended.
Stylish and charming”
My second time at the Knickerbocker only confirmed my opinion that this a great hotel to stay at.
Great location - Good stay”
We try to stay here whenever in Chicago. It a good hotel with a great location and friendly staff. $55 a night for parking is steep but I haven't found an alternative. We got a very good price.
Great People working at this hotel”
i will stay at this hotel again for sure. everyone working here was extremely helpful, and willing to go above and beyond. the rooms are very comfortable and clean as well as elegant. it is in a great location as well right next to many restaurants and shopping areas. charlie is the best hotel worker that i have ever met. he makes it a personal challenge to help all of the guests in the best way that he can.
Comfortable, clean and spacious room & restroom.”
Was not bad. Remembere its located Across the Hilton hotel. Loop neighborhood is quite expensive. This place is close to the Loop and reasonable price in comparison with other hotel located in loop.
Our stay was very nice. The location was great!”
Great! Would stay here again!! The location was good. I was so glad we could afford to stay in downtown Chicago!! Thank you Priceline for this opportunity:,)
hotel is very nice !”
I stayed in this hotel for two nights. It was a amazing experience. the walking distance to michigan avenue, to access to lots of shopping center, 15 minutes to subway. and the room is very clean and bed is very comfortable. I will choose this hotel again!
Good deal, great location ”
This is an older hotel that has everything you need, but nothing extraordinary. If you are looking for upscale amenities or a luxury experience, this is not the place. That said, it has all of the basics, very friendly staff and a perfect location.
Great room and location.”
Great! Just the Nix restaurant receptionist still let us waited for a while, it seemed that she didn't know what to do. The hotel should provide a public internet access, but it seems not accessible. Overall, the room is great and servicing staffs are great! They are friendly to children too.
Hotel was in a fantastic location, fun city”
It was great! Clean hotel, great staff. Very fun city. Ask the concierge or bell hops about the history of the hotel. Very interesting!
Perfect for what we needed!”
very nice place. old feel with a modern touch. location is perfect for shopping dining dightseeing. worth the extra few bucks over a chain hotel.
Could easily be so much better”
Our experience at this hotel for 3 nights in the last week was disappointing, owing to things that could so easily be fixed. First, there was no information in the room regarding the hotel facilities or nearby recommendations for food. Had we wanted to have breakfast or a drink in the hotel or nearby, there was nothing in the room to tell us what the options were. Only on the last day did we see what looked like the Business Center - again there was no information about this provided to us, but we would have availed ourselves of it had we known about it, particularly because there was no free wifi in the rooms. The same goes for a Fitness Center. This is really just short-sighted on the hotel's behalf because we could have spent more money on food or drinks there had we known more about the facilities. As a similar point, at no point either in person or in the room was information offered regarding local public transportation options. We typically find this is a standard service in hotels at this price range. We also got the impression that management is not as on the ball regarding the day to day running and cleaning of the hotel as they could be. The staff were not difficult but also not particularly friendly or helpful. We often made eye contact with them in the lobby but there was no customary welcome back or small talk. There were also at least a dozen spider webs (with live spiders) in the front area outside the lobby which we could see quite clearly while waiting for cars, particularly of an evening when they glimmered in the light. Finally, there were some stains on pillows and carpeting in our room which were off-putting but we had no other room option given the hotel was fully booked for at least one of the nights of our stay. Had none of these issues presented themselves, we would have had a very enjoyable stay owing to the fantastic location and historic significance of the hotel.
Good value but search around”
There is only wireless in the lobby. The computers in the Business Area are using Microsoft XP and are extremely slow and crashed when we used it. PLUS it costs $5 per 15 minutes (but stated that printing boarding passes was free). There was a slight chirping sound coming from the air vent that was annoying but tolerable. My wife and I might return just because of the location but we'd try other hotels first.
Group of 8 celebrating 30th Birthday”
Hotel rooms are nice, the lifts need an upgrade but the staff were great and the location is great too.
good”
great , though it was Agoda that over booked and the hotel had to move us to a different hotel and move us back the next day. that was a pain since our son was graduating that next day.
Great hotel, great value!”
All in all, a great hotel at a great value and great location close to shopping and dining.
