Clean, affordable hotel in the heart of L.A.”
The Ritz-Milner is a clean and affordable hotel in downtown Los Angeles which provides a small yet perfectly adequate room for a great price. The rooms are spartan but they get the job done by providing a place to lay your head at night, knowing that you're saving money for other activities in the greater L.A. area. The price is cheap and you get what you pay for, but nothing more. I liked that it was clean and breakfast was included. I felt that the rooms were old but serviceable -- my biggest concern was that it seemed like security of the building in general was lacking. Overall, the Ritz-Milner is in a great location in central downtown L.A. and it very affordable -- could not stay anywhere else for less and was very clean and sufficiently kept up.

Clean hotel but small room”
The rooms are clean but very small rooms. This hotel enable us to access to any place easily. I will come back should I travel to Los Angeles again.

Can't beat it ”
This is the best option to stay in downtown LA. Nothing too fancy. GREAT VALUE $90 in downtown LA. This is NOT a bad area of downtown. All other hotels in the area $200+ Great if your going to a concert or event in downtown

Satisfied”
I would stay there again. I was attending a convention in LA and the Ritz Milner was in a convenient location. There are lots of restaurants and shopping close by and the staff treated me very well. They were very accommodating with any request I made. The only issues I had was that when I asked for an iron they said they would send one up but it never came. I asked again but again it didn't come. I did without. The shower was 24" wide and about 4' long. It did the job but it was the smallest shower I had ever see. The room was kept clean and it was very quiet. There was free computer hook-up in the room which was very convenient. The higher prices hotels might be bigger and newer but they don't offer what the Ritz Milner hotel offers their guests free of charge.

Good downtown location”
Really good location downtown for a good price. Close to the metro, staples centre and food. Aside from what people say we felt very safe in the area even when getting back late at night. Superb breakfast.

Ritz Milner LA”
I had a very nice stay at the Ritz Hotel Milner, the staff were very helpful. On arriving which was before 12.00pm I was able to go into my room, and I also got a late checkout on my last day. The breakfast was enough for me as it had all the food items that I usually have for breakfast. These included toast, croisonts, pastries, yogurt, fresh fruit, muffins and hard boiled eggs Just enough to start the morning with and more than enough.I just cannot get my head around someone complaining about the old lifts as no one is expecting to sleep in them, still you cannot please everyone. In conclusion I will say that the shower stall was small but then again I am not big so I managed quite well.

Large room and good Internet connection”
the room is large and beautiful which made me think if we were just upgraded because there is no other room. the view outside is not good because it's facing the wall but it's okay because we don't need it anyway for one night only. overall i'm satisfied with the room. haven't tried the breakfast for this stay though, but the second stay we had (my other review) i'd say breakfast is less than acceptable compared to other hotels i tried.

Average, good location”
I only stayed a night as transit, basically only used the room to sleep at night. The room is clean, nothing fancy, albeit a little small and cramped. Same with the shower. This hotel is definitely not for travellers who require some level or form of luxury in their accommodations. That said, the location is pretty good in downtown. You are near to attractions like Staples Center, Grammy Museum; you are also near to downtown shopping like Macy's, Fig@7th. The subway metro station is also nearby which will get you to Union Station (for connecting travel routes), Hollywood, Wilshire, etc. I would stay there again since I use the room only for sleep when I travel and am not picky about luxury, but most importantly for location.

Has potential”
The Milner was average. The staff was polite and professional, and the complimentary breakfast was good. But, right now, the hotel is under new ownership and they are making changes that definitely will impact your stay. There are two elevators, but only one works for 12 floors and the basement. 8/10 times we were squished in the small elevator with dirty linens, housekeepers and their supplies, or maintenance staff and their supplies. Everyone was nice and apologized for the inconvenience, but it was not the best situation. We stayed on the 12th floor, on the main street side, and we didn't have any noise issues. It's a big city, and this hotel is right in the middle of it, there will be big city noises, get used to it. We had a standard queen room, it was small, but that was expected for a big city hotel. However the floor of the room was slanted, very noticeably, and the bed was severely slanted. My husband didn't sleep very well due to how uncomfortable the bed angle was. The room was clean, and nothing fancy. We stayed one night and I think it was perfect for this hotel until they do some upgrades. Yes, I would stay here again. The midweek price was good for the location. But, I will not do more than one night until the upgrade. There is a convenient ACE parking lot two doors down from the hotel to park your car. We paid $18.

Great location and clean!”
This hotel is a great value. After reading the reviews, we got the suite (so we wouldn't have to worry about the lack of space).

Good location with nice breakfirst”
I had been this hotel for 4 nights, this hotel located in downtown LA with good location, about 5 mins walking to the subway and 10-15 mins walking to the staple center. The free breakfirst is awesome. However room in hotel is small, there is bad smell around hotel area like somthing is burnning outside. Anyway, you get what you pay.

A Good Deal”
This hotel fit my need of a reasonable priced room near the LA Convention Center. My suite on the top floor was spacious and comfortable, and it could be nice for a family of four. The included breakfast had a decent selection of fruit, various breads, yogurt, cereal, juices, and warm drinks. The staff was friendly and professional. I would absolutely consider the Ritz Milner again if I need a place in LA near the Convention Center.

all good, great location, room size befitting price”
great location, polite staff, close to lots of good food, the rooms are small but in fitting with the budget. I dont know what else to say to fill in the mandatory which is really a bit excessive when asked to simply review a hotel

Good Stay”
Great location, very close to the staples center. Rooms are small, but good for one night stay if going out in the downtown area.

Location is great”
Staff was good and very accommodating, except for the manager who was very bossy. We arrived around 2:30 pm and I already told the check in staff that we are willing to wait. The manager then interrupted us, and told us in his loud voice us about the 3:00pm check in time. The staff said that it was ok with us. The staff know better customer service and common courtesy than the manager. It was the only minus factor. Hotel was good, everything mentioned on their website is accurate. Location is the main reason why we stayed in this hotel, easy access to major site seeing locations in LA

Good stay in general”
It was a good stay in general. Good value for the money we paid in the centre of LA. One block away from the Metro which goes everywhere. The room was quite small, and the air con is old style window aircon, which was really loud when running. Luckily, during the time we went, it was not too hot yet at night. With the window open, it was cool enough to go to sleep. We didnt have the aircon on the whole time. Breakfast was also include in the price we paid, it was a bonus. Staff were very helpful with all the queries we had.

Great location but small rooms.”
I like this hotel because it's close to 7th St. Metro Station that have connection to most of lines trains and Metro bus stops infront of the hotel. This is good for shopping or sightseeing. Subway just below to hotel to get foods. The rooms rates is also affordable. I don't like the internet in the rooms is slow, the aircond was not cool and no iron in my room.

Good Value for Downtown LA”
I have stayed at this older downtown LA hotel a number of times. Its main attraction is its location relative to the nightly cost. Value for location. I would definitely stay there again.
