Location is near Ueno JR, subway and Airport Skyliner Express, walking distance about 8-15min. Shopping malls and food streets nearby. Ueno park is just opposite the bridge - a massive park that houses a few museums, zoo and ponds. Room is clean and big enough to open luggages flat on the ground. Particularly love the huge window that overlooks the train tracks. Soundproofing is excellent so my favourite morning activity is to look out to the passing trains while having my breakfast by the window, all without noise!

During the second part of our trip in May 2024, we stayed at Mimaru Tokyo Ueno North, which proved to be another excellent choice. Just like our previous Mimaru experience, the staff here were exceptionally friendly, enhancing our stay with their readiness to assist and warm welcomes.The hotel's location is ideal for tourists, situated close to Ueno Station and directly on the Yamanote Line, making it easy to navigate around Tokyo. For those visiting, using the Iriya gate exit at Ueno Station is the most direct way to get to the hotel—a helpful tip we discovered. Our room was spacious, comfortably accommodating our family and ensuring we had ample space to relax after a day of sightseeing. With Ueno Park also within easy reach, we enjoyed effortless access to one of Tokyo’s premier green spaces, which was perfect for leisurely walks and unwinding in nature. Overall, Mimaru Tokyo Ueno North is a fantastic option for families or anyone looking for a comfortable, conveniently located base in Tokyo.

Rated top favourite room stayed in our time at Japan by my daughter due to the double bed! Hahaha of Cus we adults loved the minimalist yet with everything you need kind of room very much too . Spacious for 3A1C, a mini apartment style with mini kitchen, dinning table, bathroom with bathtub, a nd TV and bed for resting all smack right in great places of the room. Self service laundry services at L2 24/7. Convenient back door access to Lawson/Family Mart, front door access to Ueno station! It was just awesome. However, for some reasons, same route to station seems shorter to us while coming back seems longer hahahah.. tip: do walk via “underpass”/first entrance to station (can’t rmb what is it called) you see after some traffic light. Great and easy food around (Wendy’s, Gindaco, Ramen) I would also say walkable from Ameyoko if you’re adventurous which we did. Near to beautiful Ueno Park too! Cant also forget and thankful to the welcoming and helpful front desk, for providing us information and assistance we needed for luggage transfer and others thru our stay! They even have games you can borrow to play, like Jenga, UNO etc! The moment we reached, after registration, they briefed us with the hotel amenities and what we need to know through a short simple clear slides. And immediately I’m wowed and info of what we needed registered fast! I would choose them over and over again! We love Ueno and Mimarau and Japan! ☺️ hope to be back soon…

Great place to consider for family trip”
I booked a room for 4 for my family vacation trip. The room is clean and tidy. It has 4 single beds, a dining table, a kitchen with fridge, water boiler, stove and microwave oven, complete with cutlery and crockery. The toilet is separate from the bathroom. Cozy for a family trip, even if my children are young adults. Since this is Tokyo, expect the room to be slightly smaller than, say, in Osaka. But the comfort level is the same. Also, the place is within minutes to Ueno Station, and Lawson is just 1 street away. Good location to consider for my next trip.

Conveniently located within walking distance of Ueno Park, museums, and the zoo. The proximity to Ueno Station made exploring the rest of Tokyo a breeze. Slightly quieter than other parts of Tokyo as we preferred that but still providing excellent connectivity. Our room offered a comfortable retreat after a day of sightseeing, and the friendly staff enhanced our experience with excellent service. Hot water was consistent. Highly recommended for families with their bigger rooms as well.
